App won't launch - Pixel 2 XL running Android 9 Pie - WHY DON'T YOU SUPPORT NEW OS?

The app is installed - it WILL NOT launch at all.

 Please note, I can install the app from either the Google Play App Store or side-loading it using the APK file. After installing, I cannot launch - it fails immediately.

The App team are working on this, this needs to be fully tested to make sure there are no further issues.
