I was wondering if this a good choice for a intermediate player  (the only amp I have is a fender 20watt amp) and I would like to hear the pros and cons of this amp.

Hello Michael,

The DSL40C is a compact rock amplifier, we would recommend that you have a look on our website www.marshall.com and you can see a demonstration of the unit and all the spec. You can also go into a dealer and try the unit to see if it suits all your needs and style of playing.

Kind Regards

Buddy the MARSHALL DSL 40 is one of the best Tube Combo Amps out there today (in this price range) hell in ANY price range for that matter. The DSL 40 can and will do everything that you need AND you can also gig with it with NO Problem being heard over drum kit!! The DSL40 also takes pedals very well. There are 3 amps you should look at: 1) DSL40   2) FENDER HOT ROD DELUX    3) VOX AC30. Those are the 3 best tube combos that you can find. REMEMBER WATTS DOES NOT MEAN VOLUME!!!
