Any difference between the 2550 Black and 2555 Silver

I'm looking to purchase a head for my son and I have seen a few Slash model 2550 Black 80's heads and was curious if they are essentially the same as the 2555 Silver Jubilee 80's heads only with a different tolex color?  Again just any differences to help me narrow down whether or not to pursue one or the other.

Thank everyone in advance for any help.

Sincerely,

Between the Slash 2550 and the Jubilee 2555 which do you guys prefer sound wise or does one of them have a build quality/issue that the other dos not. I see by your answer the 2550 is a 50 watt head and the 2555 is 100 watt so they will sound a bit different. Did slash have a signature model that was a 100 watt version? Also since he's going off to school does Marshall make a lunchbox style amp with similar tone or features of the 2550/2555? Thanks again for the help I'm just unfamiliar with Marshall amps (personal experience). - Charles Abbott 21 Dec 2018 at 02:57 PM
