I have a reissue jcm800 and it blew the T1ae fuse. Pulled the fuse and its a T1al? The nomenclature says T1ae. Is there a differance?

Hello Bill,

As long as it is a T1A and the correct size it will be fine, the lettering relates to the type of fuse and the way it will blow when there is a fault on the amplifier.

If the amplifier has blown the 1amp fuse this may have been caused by a faulty power valve and we recommend you have the unit checked by a qualified engineer.

Thank you so much. My owners manual for the amp says to power up for 2 min then use the standby. I was starting it up and shuting it down just tho opposite. My other amps dont seam to have an issue with this. Soon as i switched off the stand lby switch the marshall blows this fuse. - Bill Dyke 10 Jan 2019 at 10:21 AM
Then we would recommend that you have the unit looked at.
