Can the code amplifier be used without the cab button? Every time I play with a headset and turn this button off, the headphones start to make Terrible and robotic noises?

The Cab button on the amplifier is part of each preset, I would suggest seleting a cab setting you like, If using a Code 100 H we would always suggest you leave a cab connected even if using headphones.
