On the Gateway App, if I login with my friends account to try his presets on my code, it doesnt sync. My gateway app on my phone shows he is logged in, and that it has synced, but the presets are just listed as the ones I had on my phone.

This is not something we have come across before, I would make sure you are disconnected from your device, also make sure you have disconneted the bluetooth, as you Code may look for your device if still connected and not forgotten.
