DSL40C - Volume disparity between Clean and Crunch

Does anyone know a way to combat the huge jump in volume when switching from Clean to Crunch on the Classic Gain channel? I’d like the switch to be as simple as pushing the button without the need to alter volume settings.

Personally I leave the Classic Gain channel set to Clean and use a Distortion pedal (currently using a MXR Super Badass 78 Distortion) for more high gain on the Clean channel.  Since Clean/Crunch is not switchable via foot switch the distortion pedal works best for me (or switching to the Ultra Gain channel)

For Clean-Crunch switching I use a Distotion-Pedal, Palmer Mutterstolz, wich makes the distortion with an ECC83 Tube and is (in Germany) affordable. But I would prefer that the sound-modes would be changeable by Foot-Switch.
