I have a 50 Watt JCM800 head- I would like to run it throught just the speakers of a 2199 Soild State 2x12 amp. Is this 2x12 rated at 8 ohms? Would this be okay to do?

Regarding your question, the original speakers in the 2199 are 4ohms wired in parrael to give you an overall impedance of 2 ohms. In this set up it could not be used with a JCM 800 the speakers would need to be re wired in series to give you an impedance of 8ohms.
