I want to be sure that I'm using the correct setting. This 6101LM Anniversary Series was purchased in the 1990s, in Somerville, MA, USA, when a music store chain went out of business. It has all origanal parts, as purchased, with Sovtek 5881/6L6WGCs, the Celestion speaker has a gold frame, no impedance marking. The barcode label # is 964355322. Is 8 ohms the currect setting?

Regarding your question 8ohms is the correct setting for the orginial gold celestion speaker.

On this model Speaker Impedance is 8Ohm. Anyway if you have a multimeter you can measure the impedance slecting resistance. Is approximately the same.
