I have a '77 jmp 100,currently through a 4x12,am looking at downsizing due to portability issues, but am loathe to part with this awesome amp that has been with me since the late 80s,so am considering using with a 2x12,any advice, regarding resistance values, suitable cabs, would be appreciated.

Check the power handling of the speakers (combined) and match the ohms on the output of the amp. Most 2x12s will work just fine. I recommend cream backs and v30s

Hi Damian,

Your best option would probably be the 1936 or 1936V 2 x 12" cabinet, which would suit your needs.
