HELP PLEASE "WHAT YEAR IS MY CABINET"

Hi Everyone,

I live in Australia, and purchased this cabnet when I was 18 and Im now 51

I was told by the previous owner that it was a late 60's cab

Stupidly in the 80's I recovered it in a stylish grey carpet (as per photos)

I am now trying to take it back to original and trying to find the Head to match.

If anyone could please tell me the vintage and if its worth doing.

Many thanks and look forward to any replies

Cheers Marty

Hello Marty,

Looking at the code on the speaker they were manufactured in 1972, the 100 watt version of the 1935 was first manufactured in 1971 until 1979.

So if those speakers were orginially fitted would suggest your cabinet was made in 1972.

It would be worth more covered in the black levant, the head that was originally for the cabinet was a 1986 50 watt bass head.

We can only give insurance valuation on items that we have actually seen.
