Marshall PEDL-91010 (2-way switch) not working properly

I have Marshall CODE50 and PEDL-91010 (2-way switch). I have the latest 1.44 firmware update installed, but my pedal does not work properly. For some reason when I press the switch to go down a preset it goes up a preset or just does nothing. Sometimes it works, but that does not happen very often. I've opened the footswitch and the circuit seems too simple to be faulty and by the way my amp acts when I press the down switch it looks like it is the problem with the firmware.

Hello Marko,

PEDL-91010 is designed to work with your CODE50, if you can scroll through the pre -sets manually it is just working when you use the pedal, then the pedal may be faulty and we would recommend taking it back to the dealer and trying a replacement.

Kind Regards

Are you all sure?

Marshall, com says the 91010 is "pefectly created for Code" and it even has the Marshall Code logo on it!

Wow, it seems I have to update my knowledge base... :-)
Did you try to reinstall firmware, even if you have the latest version?

As far as I know the 91010 footswitch is not supposed to work with CODE series amps. You shoud use 91009.

Jacek is right. Proper functionality only with the programmable footswitch 91009 (which - by the way - was especially designed for the Code-amps as far as I know).

Ok, this one is new to me. Sorry. Never heard of it before ... but you are right. And on the website here in Germany  they say "perfect for Code-amps".
Should work easy: left button scrolls "up", right button scrolls "down" through the amp's presets (so it's not programmable).

No problem. I was thinking of getting it at one point, thats how I knew it existed. I would suggest he email direct Marshall support rather than this forum, but I wouldnt expect a response from them any time soon. - Joliet Jake 04 May 2021 at 12:38 PM
