"USB device not recognized" notice

I borrowed a friend's mini USB cable a couple months ago to plug my CODE25 into my laptop and it worked just fine. I got a new cable today and tried plugging my amp into my laptop and the following notice popped up;

If anyone has any idea if it's a cable, laptop or amp issue, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

If it's the same amp, same laptop, but a different cable, it certainly points at the cable.

Maybe you can get your friends cable back to try it again?

Had the same thought process at first, but I’m always doubting my amp because I got it second-hand. I’ll check with my friend though, thanks for the help :) - 03 Sep 2021 at 08:48 PM
