I have a technical query that I'm sure professionals like yourselves can help me with.

I bought a Marshall Code 100 H amplifier and a Marshall Cabinet model  Cabinet Marshall Marshall MX412BR from you.

The first observation is that when we're rehearsing, with my 100W of power, I can hardly hear myself, and it seems like my amplifier can't provide more power. In contrast, my bandmate has a Fender Classic 40W, and it seems excessively louder compared to my 100W. My potentiometers are almost at "10," whereas my bandmate's are at "5."

This is the first difference I can't understand. The next question relates to power and impedance. If my cabinet is 16 ohms and my amp head is 8 ohms, I see that it's half, is this normal, or should the amplifier also be 16 ohms, or should the cabinet be 8 ohms? In the specifications of my amplifier, it says: Output: Speaker output 8 ohms minimum impedance.

I hope you can please help me solve this problem, as a Marshall 100W amplifier Code 100 H sounds very distant and as if it were only 30W of power.

 Thank you very much.

Just curious if there is a way to do this without a computer- can you use bluetooth headsets with the CODE 50 as a monitor when you play? In other words, I tried to use my headphones (wireless) to connect to my phone while the app is running, and I can't get any feed from the amp into the buds. Just wondering if there is a way to hear the amp wirelessly with the buds while also simultaneously having the amp speaker still audible.

Hi, I have an issue where playing some notes in fifth octave like g5 weirdly resonates with some internals of the Amp amifying the note to unpleasant degree at the start of the note and even more couple of seconds later. Notes close to it behave normally.

This happens on both my guitars, both through the speaker and headphones on any cranked high gain Amp. My other two amps do not exhibit the same issue as well as boss gt-1000 connected to my code with ever section of it turned off.

Please help me troubleshoot this.

Obviously, I have updated to the latest firmware and did a factory reset after. However, neither of this helped.

I've just bought a Marshall CODE 50 and after playing a bit with it and experimenting around with the settings, I came to a conclusion that the cabinet models sound better recorded with the direct input than through the amp speaker when playing.

Just wondering if anyone thinks the same. Sorry if I couldn't make it more clear, English isn't my native language and I don't know how to fully express myself.

Hi,

Is it acceptable/safe to connect the headphone/ line out socket of the Code 25 to a power amp input jack of another guitar amplifier, In my case, a peavey bandit 75, using a screened guitar lead. The peavey has a 1x12" 8 ohm speaker. I find the Peavey 12" speaker is alot warmer and fuller than the Code's 1x10" hence the question.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi,

When will the next Code %0 FW update be available.

Will it address the common issue of the Code 50 main speaker cutting out?

Based on what others have written and use to WA the issue, it really seems to be a Firmware hiccup that causes the controller to enter a weird state.

Please comment on what Marshall is doing to resolve this issue.

Thank You and Best Regards,

TedL.

I was playing guitar and tried changing the volume on my amp and once I did the sound completely went out. I can't even play sound connected via Bluetooth on my phone. I don't hear sound either when I connect headphones to my amp. In addition to this, I connected my amp to my laptop and recorded some sound to try and figure out the problem, and GarageBand picked up what I was playing. This problem has happened to me in the past but after I wait for a little the sound seems to come back, but this time I've waited over a week and my amp still isn't working.  Any tips?

I want to know if its possible to use two effects from the same "area" at the same time, like a distortion with pitch shifter, or tremolo with flanger, phaser, or chorus.
My apologies if my english is not perfect, im not a native speaker

I am interested in buying a MARSHALL CODE 25, but I would need to use the line output (to connect to a mixer or another amplifier), I know I can use the headphone output, but how can I use the headphone output? without disconnecting the speaker from the amp? Is there any way to achieve it?

I've bought a Marshall CODE 50 here in Brazil a few months ago, and now I'm having a known problem with the speakers according to the Marshall forum.
Then, my speakers just cut off while I'm playing, which is a very SERIOUS PROBLEM.
I would like to know how I can have some support in this case, because for me this is a manufacturing problem.

Hi All,

I'm getting a fast clicking and humming sound comming through the speaker as I let chords/notes fade out. Tried different leads and guitars but still happening. Fimware is up to date. Doesn't happen when the chord/note is struck...only when you hold the chord/note to fade out.

Any suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. I have a Code 100 combo and I have been thinking of upgrading the speakers. Should I replace the stock speakers in the amp, or would it be better if I just bought an external cab and bypass the built in speakers? I have found that when I deactivate the cab simulator in the amp I get a more “defined” and less muddy tone, but sometimes it just sounds like “an amp without cab”, the sort of scooped sound if that makes sense, even if the sound comes out through the amp speakers which should be considered a cab. If an external cab is better, what wattage should it be? Thanks!

Last reharsal my guitar simply stoped working in the middle of a song, after like 5 seconds that I turned off/on  it started to work again but then after 2 songs it stoped working again, this time turning off/on didnt solve the problem, I was despered, checked all cables and everything was fine, then sudently started to work again until the last songs of the reharsal, without I doing anything (?). When it  happened again in the last 2 songs, the bassist said "man you amp is blinking", and I saw the display flashing for a couple of seconds and then the sound stoped again.

I've tested the power outlet, speaker cable, power cable and guitar(p10) cables, they all working fine, seems something on the amp. Next month  my band got our first gig to play, in a small open air party, and I'm afraid it will happen again, bcause last month it occured 2 times, but turning off/on solved the problem, this time dont.

I'm from Brazil and I don't know if you have customer support here, I imported my amp from another country(didn't find any oficial store nearby to buy on Brazil).

Hello, everyone,

I would like to ask you a question since I am not a very experienced guitarist...

I have a marshall 100 hdfx head and would like to purchase a 4x12. I have seen these two models:

1. Marshall CODE 412 Cabinet

2. EVH 5150 Iconic Series 4x12 Cabinet Black

...but I do not understand the impedance issue very well and I would like to know which one is better for my head (although the ad recommends the cheapest one for 100 heads).

Thanks you very much in advance :)

So I have had a new CODE25 for about four months, and two weeks ago it suddently started to go silent after playing a few minutes. No sound at all, very suddenly. Lights all still on, screen on (though maybe dimmed), and it won't recover until I power it down and restart--and then it may or may not play for a few minutes more after that. Didn't seem like an overheating issue (I rarely play that loud, and at the time I was using a sweet clean preset).

I've updated the firmware and still have the problem. I'm in Hawaii, and I'm not sure there's a Marshall warranty place here to do any work on it. Am I stuck returning it? Is this a common problem?

I absolutely love this thing, I'd hate to have to abandon it for poor dependability reasons.

My CODE50 no longer has any output to the speaker.

Everything 'seems' fine, and I have tested the cables etc, with my older Valvestate and the cable and guitar still OK.

Lights are on, pedal on, BT connects to phone, just no output at all.

Any idea's?

Hi Marshall Support,

I own a Marshall Code 100 combo. My question is, if I plug my amp to a pa system via the rear speaker connection, the speaker on my amp doesn't work any more. How do I regulate this. I want to hear my amp at the same time it's connected to the pa system.

Thank you for your answer,

Andy

I seem to be having the same issues that a lot of people have reported, where I cannot get the Marshall Gateway app to connect to my Code 25. I've only had the amp for about a week and I cannot get the app to see it. ?

I can connect to the amp via Bluetooth using my phone (Samsung S10, Android 11) and whilst connected, can use it as a BT speaker to play music from Spotify. However, nothing I do seems to get the app to connect to the amplifier.

-I've updated the amp to the latest firmware using my laptop/web browser.
-I've followed all the instructions in the Bluetooth Connectivity Troubleshooter to the letter (CODE - Gateway Bluetooth Connection Troubleshooting - my.marshall.com)

No matter what I do, or what order I install/uninstall/connect, the app will not see the amplifier. Everything works otherwise - I'm able to apply Patches from ? using a USB connection - and the amp sounds great. I'd just like to be able to control it from my phone.
