1. Does this problem occur for all presets? Yes

2. "My potentiometers are almost at "10" - what ptentiometers do you mean? I mean the The volume control buttons for the master volume and volume

3. Do you use any of PRE FX effects like compressor or distortion? If so - what are volume settings of these effects?Yes, I do use pre-fx like compressor or distortions, but they come in programmed presets. How does the volume of these pre-fx settings influence it?

4. What happens when you connect you guitar with your cable to your bandmate's amp?It sounds much louder and more powerful than mine. Is the amplifier a Fender 40W tube amp

When you connect 16 ohms cabinet to 8 ohms 100W amplifier total power is reduced to 50W, but still it should be more than enough. I've got CODE 25 and it's loud as hell.

Is your Code 25 amplifier a combo or is it attached to a cabinet?"

The Celestions in my cabinet are the G12-412ACF 12". There are 4 of them. Do you know how many decibels and power each Celestion cone provides? Another question would be, could it be that the Code 100H amp needs a higher power cabinet (for example, 200w)? Do you know if the Code 100H series requires special cabinets to deliver all the power and force of its 100 watts?

I know these amplifiers are very powerful and good, and Marshall never disappoints me, but now I'm worried because I see that in my rehearsals I can hardly hear anything from my amplifier. I think there's something not right in this whole issue. I would like, since I trust you, some solution or something with preamp, pre-fx, or volumes that I'm not handling correctly in the presets

Where could I buy cabinet CODE412?... I need some information about it. Price, technical data,.... Maybe that's the problem because my amp sounds too lower with a classic cabinet as :

Cabinet Marshall Marshall MX412BR.

I have a technical query that I'm sure professionals like yourselves can help me with.

I bought a Marshall Code 100 H amplifier and a Marshall Cabinet model  Cabinet Marshall Marshall MX412BR from you.

The first observation is that when we're rehearsing, with my 100W of power, I can hardly hear myself, and it seems like my amplifier can't provide more power. In contrast, my bandmate has a Fender Classic 40W, and it seems excessively louder compared to my 100W. My potentiometers are almost at "10," whereas my bandmate's are at "5."

This is the first difference I can't understand. The next question relates to power and impedance. If my cabinet is 16 ohms and my amp head is 8 ohms, I see that it's half, is this normal, or should the amplifier also be 16 ohms, or should the cabinet be 8 ohms? In the specifications of my amplifier, it says: Output: Speaker output 8 ohms minimum impedance.

I hope you can please help me solve this problem, as a Marshall 100W amplifier Code 100 H sounds very distant and as if it were only 30W of power.

 Thank you very much.

I've just bought a Marshall CODE 50 and after playing a bit with it and experimenting around with the settings, I came to a conclusion that the cabinet models sound better recorded with the direct input than through the amp speaker when playing.

Just wondering if anyone thinks the same. Sorry if I couldn't make it more clear, English isn't my native language and I don't know how to fully express myself.

When I use my CODE100H with a cab, do I need to turn the cabinet settings off? I've seen several "how to" videos (including ones that have a Marshall tech in them) saying as I'm connected to a cab I don't need the cabinet setting. I've got the CODE4X12 cabinet.

Thoughts?

Hello, everyone,

I would like to ask you a question since I am not a very experienced guitarist...

I have a marshall 100 hdfx head and would like to purchase a 4x12. I have seen these two models:

1. Marshall CODE 412 Cabinet

2. EVH 5150 Iconic Series 4x12 Cabinet Black

...but I do not understand the impedance issue very well and I would like to know which one is better for my head (although the ad recommends the cheapest one for 100 heads).

Thanks you very much in advance :)

Hello Everyone,

I bought the Marshall code 100 Head as a second hand after watching the positive reviews of it, and I really liked the sound and its features!

I plugged it to a 1 x 12 Cabinet and it works good except for my big disappointment with the hissing white noise that i was getting even when the master volume knob on the amp is turned all the way down.

I tried every simple solution that i could come with, including turning off the computer in the room, I tried resetting the Amp to factory settings,  I even installed the new firmware from the marshall website.  but none solved this issue.
Does anyone know the solution for this problem?

Thank you very much in advance

Hey all.

New to the Code.  Tryin to navigate the website some.
Question about user uploaded preset settings.

At the bottom of the setting description, I've noticed many times there will be an icon or pic of a Marshall cabinet with a red X thru it.  My guess is that it means the cabinet simulation is turned off..??

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Has anyone used a small pedal amp to input the headphone to a amp like the electro harmonix 5MM.  I saw this done on a Spark amp to connect to a speaker cabinet.  I would think I could do the same on the CODE.  Adapt the 1/8 to 1/4 to go from headphone jack to the input on the 5MM and then in my case that speaker cable goes to a mixer.  I know this amp does have a dedicated line out to do what I want to do.  So I think this would accomplish the same thing.  Any thoughts good or bad?  I plan to try as soon as I get my hands on a small pedal(not a stomp box, just a pedal size amp) and configure the cables to go from 1/8 headphone to the 1/4 input on the amp.  I'm not an electrical engineer, I just need a "line out" if possible.  Should work.  Thanks,

I recently purchased a code 100h.  I've noticed that with the cabinet simulation turned off, the amp is incredibly fizzy and bright.  I am running into a 2x12 with Celestion Vintage 30s.  Is there a way to tame this high-end shrillness without having to resort to running cabinet simulation through an existing cabinet?

Hello everyone, I own the Marshall CODE 100H and CODE 212 cabinet.I really love this amp, but I find the MY GATEWAY web page interface to be somewhat awkward to use. The following are issues that I would like to see changed.

1) On the My GATEWAY web page, the preset list at the top is arranged by columns (as it should be), but the MY LIBRARY list below that is arranged by rows.

?

2) There is no indication in the MY LIBRARY section on the MY GATEWAY tab whether a preset is or isn’t in the MY GATEWAY list.

Hello everyone from Portugal,

I hope you guys are safe and keeping up. Proud of another Marshall product, adding to the existing Haze 40 and the pre JMP-1, the CODE 100H. I am still going thru the details of every aspect of the digital architecture, but some do seem permanent and require your support:

1. Each saved preset will freeze the unit, muting sound, disabling "preset" knob, only mitigated by turning off and on the unit. Actually this will happen exactly the same way if I'm using the app to save the preset.

2. If by chance the app is not detecting/recognizing the amp (after previous sync's), the only way to enable this is to shut down the app and turn it back on again.

3. When the unit is ON and the volume is 0, there is a clear hum coming from the speakers. This hum is non existing when using the headphones. I am using the original cabinet cable supplied.

4. My understanding of the CAB feature, is that it should be "on", if using the DAW or headphones, and OFF when connected to a cabinet (I'm using CODE 212 btw and enjoying it). Why all the presets are factory saved with CAB "on"?

The unit was bought with the 1.44 version already installed. I have not tried yet to reinstall anything. I am using Mac, with no Windows sw.
Thanks for the support,
Pedro

Hi! I have a question about CODE 100H. I need to play directly in mixer but it hasn't a DI exit, can I use it without a cabinet? If I can, how can I do it? If I don't use cabinet, will CODE be damaged? Thanks for your help.

every company who sells digital amp made some upgrade with more amp or efx or cabinet or upgrade a better firmware with better tones. you do nothing! I've asked you - almost one year ago -, by mail, if marshall was programming an upgrade and in your mail you answered yes..I think was untrue, it's the worst support I've ever seen in digital amplification.

Just bought a brand new Code 25 amp that was delivered by courier. It sounds great in play but there is a relatively loud constant hum from the speaker from about 5 seconds after switch on. Even with no guitar attached. is this normal?

Also something is rattling inside when I tilt the cabinet side to side. I'm worried it may have been damaged in transit. Maybe these two issues are related?

Anyone have any thoughts or advice. Not sure I can face sending it back to the seller as although I bought it off a .co.uk website it actually shipped from Poland.

On the Gateway app I can playback very little music. I can easily play music with iTunes (Bluetooth) but I am referring to using the playback feature. I have tried to playback 50-60 songs, some of it is purchased but all of it is downloaded. Why do only certain songs work. This is a huge issue for me and one of the main reasons I bought the Code 100H and 212 cabinet.

Hi, Do someone know if the "custom voiced" speakers on a CODE 4x12 8ohm cabinet are the same as in the mg412a cabinet ? The mg cab is loaded with celestion g12-412mg 8ohm speakers that look like celestion rocket 50 but seem to be rated at 30 watts ... because the cab is rated 120w... some AVT cabs are loaded with celestion g12-412avt and some with celestion rocket 50 but AVT cabs are 16ohm (maybe the cause of suffixes change on the g12..) I've browsed  the celestion website to find some answer and the only one that had the same magnet is the rocket 50 and is rated to 50 watts... i would like to know what kind of speakers are on the CODE cab and if the mg412a cabinet sounds about the same as the CODE 412 cab with a CODE 100h head ...i don't like the format of the CODE cab...but want to keep all the tone modeling capabilities of the CODE 100w head
