Hello, I have problems with my Minor 3 headphones. They are work via bluetooht, but i can't connect it to app.
When I do it, they disconnect from my phone and I need to delete it from bluetooth devices list and pair it one more time.
Somebody help me, as I know it's not only my problem.
Dear Marshall team:
I use the Code 25 amplifier, with the Gateway app and the Code series footswitch. The firmware is updated with the latest version available.
For a long time I have been noticing certain problems, mainly:
-The preset settings are changed on their own (sometimes the volume, other times the gain...) They are usually changed to the settings on the control knobs. I load the preset again, and after a while some of the settings are changed again.
-Another problem is that after using a preset for a while, when changing to another it does not change (it stays blocked). It does not respond either by using the pedal or by changing the preset from the app I have to turn off the amp. At first I thought it would be a Bluetooth problem, since I was using the Gateway application, with an iPhone. But now I'm using it with an Android phone and I continue to have the same problems.
Waiting for your comments, receive a cordial greeting.
Eduardo,
The Gateway app on my Android phone has been repeatedly losing connetion to my CODE head in recent months, and attempts to manually reconnect have usually failed. This unreliability is completely unworkable for gigging, so today I have tried to solve the problem through a thorough update and reset ... but now I can't get the connection to work at all. I deleted the Gateway app from my phone, unpaired the phone from the head (by "forgetting" the Bluetooth pairing), and have installed all pending firmware updates. When doing those installations, I noticed that several related to improving Bluetooth operation, so I was hopeful this would solve my problems. So I've gone ahead and carried out the "First connection" instructions on the website, but these instructions have failed at a very early stage. After I press Rev and Power and get the blue flashing light, when I attempt to "Pair new device" from my phone, I get the message "No nearby Bluetooth devices were found". This connectivity problem is definitely at the Marshall end, because I have checked that my phone is able to connect with other Bluetooth devices and it is doing so fine, so the fault is not with the Bluetooth operation of my phone. It seems like there have been some known Bluetooth connectivity problems that you've tried to fix during recent firmware updates, so is this something you can advise me about and give me a fix for? I hope so - there's not much point in you having a really good product if it's unusable in practice.
Hi !
i was wondering, is it possible to use MIDI via a bluetooth connection ?
In fact i'd like to use a simple DAW application on my Android tablet to make some music using my Marshall Code. My Code amp connect to my tablet and the Gateway app runs nice, no problem. In the DAW app (which is for now BandLab), i see an option about a "Connected MIDI Devices" and my Code doesnt appear there. So i asked myself if the MIDI interface was really available with Bluetooth ? Or is there something special to configure or install ?
thanks in advance !

A hardware issue prevents connecting my CODE25 practice amp with Gateway via Bluetooth on my PC (Nox / Windows 10). Gateway freezes at 'Turning on Bluetooth' message (the Bluetooth hardware in my PC is faulty). Can Gateway be set to connect via USB instead as a device-level default? My CODE25 amp does connect to Gateway via Bluetooth on my Android smartphone; but the phone's screen is too small to use comfortably, so USB connection to PC is needed for its much larger (I have 26" to 46" PC displays available) displays. Being severely nearsighted and over 50 years old, my options are limited.
Please people, could you help us to developing a new firmware update to fix the DSP AMP simulations for Code 25/ Code 50?
If you could make a fast research on web, you are going to see that this is a very common issue for all Code users. Probably the last firmware updates is affecting just a part of the DSP boards, not all, but in my case and many other people, we can not use the AMP simulations anymore, and the Distortion and Overdrive FX are not ok too.
At least, could you make the older firmware versions available for tests? I'm sure that most part of the users prefer to have the original and very nice tones than bluetooth running better, better connection with the App, or any other improvement.
Thank you, and please, consider our beg.
Hello,
I am struggling to connect my newly bought acton 3 speakers to play as stereo, I bought them because I should be able to connect them together, but I am afraid I will need to return them. I tried everything from the Marshall bluetooth app, but it seems that it has some update, so tips from acton 2 don't work anymore. The app doesn't even show stereo mode anymore. Is there any manual which could help me? My last option here, before I will be force to return the speakers. Thanks a lot for any tips!
In case Marshall decides to do another round of Codes, or for people that want to buy one, here is my bottom line after dealing with this thing for a few years. I had Line 6 experience and wanted a simpler all-in-one modeling combo with a bluetooth app that could do hard rock. The Katana looked like a toy so I bought this.
PROS: Solid construction. Looks great. Good range of amps and effects. Bluetooth app is very good and can tune every parameter. Tones can be downloaded and backed up to/from Marshall site. Amp can sound very good (after a lot of tweaking). The Plexi, American OD, JTM Crunch and Acoustic amps are good. The Guv’nor, Compressor, Chorus, noise gate and all the delays and reverbs are useable. Marshall has done sufficient software updates to correct early issues (bluetooth, tones, bugs). Can be used at bedroom volume with Master on ‘1’. Optional footswitch gives good control. Documentation is good. Updater software on PC works well.
CONS: Other than those mentioned above, all the other amps and effects are bad. This includes the JCM800, JVM and Silver Jubilee. All the cabs are bad. None of the stock patches are usable. You have to make your own. There are user uploaded patches you can try but very few are usable. Learning curve is significant. The amp is too loud. When you turn up from bedroom level to louder, the sounds change and become very boomy which should not happen with a modeling amp. No effects loop. The ‘out’ is a mini USB. Connecting to a computer requires a mini USB to USB or Lightning cable, which is not included. I tried to use the USB to record to Garageband and sound came out but I couldn’t make it sound good. The footswitch also has a learning curve, and like other people I had to have mine replaced.
ADVICE: Don’t buy it. I bought my Code 50 new from Sweetwater for $299 and now the same version of the amp is $399. If you must have a Code, get the 25 instead. It is cheaper and still absurdly loud. The higher volume available in the 50 is useless because it sounds bad. The extra hundred bucks just gets you painfully loud solid state power amp watts.
If you do get a Code, upgrade all the firmware immediately. You need to connect to a computer to do this, but first you have to find the cable on Amazon. This is unforgivable.
BOTTOM LINE: I have spent too many hours tweaking the Code. This is what I hated about Line 6. But the Line 6 tones were superior. I never got a good JCM 800 sound out of the Code, after hundreds of hours of work. It’s only “great” amp sim, oddly, is the American OD. Marshall’s own Classic Metal patch uses this, not a “Marshall” sim! The Code is marketed as Marshall technology with amp sims created by Marshall, but it is not. Softube created the software and tones. This is not a Marshall amp. Line 6 Marshall sims are far better.
I have now bought a tube amp. I am keeping the Code because I have mastered it and can practice on it but I would not buy it again, certainly not for $399.
Gateway version 1.5.5 (Wireless Bluetooth selection from the set list, playback selection)
I bought CODE 25 because of its services.
This wasn't made for a concert, but it was great for practice. It took a lot of work to set up the sounds and I was able to play music to my liking with the help of my mobile phone. Now, against my will, version 2 is here, which does not know these things. It was difficult to download the 1.5.5 version again because I like it, but the next day I have the 2nd version on my phone again and this has happened several times. What right do they have to overwrite my phone's settings?
How could I use my favorite amp and settings again to my heart's content, because that's what I paid for, I worked for. If there is a new version, anyone who likes it can use it, but why prevent those who like the old version from continuing to use the system that was created with a lot of effort. This is why I can't return the amplifier! I am waiting for an urgent reply!George
Hi guys,
I just recently had my Acton 2. After connecting app it prompted a firmware update . After update is 100% completed it disconnected and doest work anymore. Both Bluetooth and Aux are lit. Tried to do the unplug and plug or reset but no success. Thanks for the help in advance.
Gateway app is synched and connected to CODE 50 via bluetooth. Not sure how to call up the presets from my library, to the amp?
I've been through the forums tried everything. bluetooth is on. iphone says connected. marshall gateway app says its not. Youv'e wasted my time. my money and patience. GET IT SORTED!!!!
The connection via bluetooth and the Androidphone will work. The amp and the phone ist pared but the gateway app doesn´t recognise the amp. What is wrong? Are i am stupid or what the f***** is the reason? I updated the firmware of the amp... Please help me or give me detailed advices!
I turned on bluetooth on my phone then initiated the bluetooth feature on my code100. find the amp in the It found the amp on my phone so I connected to it and the blue light on the amp quit flashing indicating that they are synced together. When I open the gateway app on my android phone (samsung S20E) it will not find the amp in the menu section of the app. I see the blue tooth symbol there with the word CODE next to it and it says not connected. There is nothing next to the Amps Detected: and when I scan for an amp it turns gray for a few seconds and then back to green. Same thing when i switch between the phone and amp icon in the bottom left corner. when on the phone icon i have presets when I switch to the amp Icon I get nothing displayed. I do have audio .
from phone to amp and that s what it says in the blue tooth section in my phone. It says that the code V020150FDU connected for audio
This issue is driving me crazy. My Code 50 used to work with my iphone and ipad, now it refuses to connect and I always get the above message.
I have performed the following:
1. Forgot bluetooth connection on both devices
2. Deleted iphone app and re-installed.
3. Re-paired and tried to connect with same issues,
4. Formed factor preset of amp with no luck.
I know the blueotth connects as I can play music through my amp from phone, I just cannot connect to update any presets.
Any solutions would be greatfully received, am getting so frustrated with this product.
I recently got a new iPadPro. I can Bluetooth to my Code25, but when I open the MyMarshall app I get the following: "Context 3D not available! Possible reasons: wrong renderMode or missing device support." What does that mean and how do I get the app to open? I deleted the app and reinstalled and have powered the 25 down and restarted.
I seem to be having the same issues that a lot of people have reported, where I cannot get the Marshall Gateway app to connect to my Code 25. I've only had the amp for about a week and I cannot get the app to see it. ?
I can connect to the amp via Bluetooth using my phone (Samsung S10, Android 11) and whilst connected, can use it as a BT speaker to play music from Spotify. However, nothing I do seems to get the app to connect to the amplifier.
-I've updated the amp to the latest firmware using my laptop/web browser.
-I've followed all the instructions in the Bluetooth Connectivity Troubleshooter to the letter (CODE - Gateway Bluetooth Connection Troubleshooting - my.marshall.com)
No matter what I do, or what order I install/uninstall/connect, the app will not see the amplifier. Everything works otherwise - I'm able to apply Patches from ? using a USB connection - and the amp sounds great. I'd just like to be able to control it from my phone.
