Hello, I have a question about Emberton.
My speaker turns off after inactive time.

My Emberton connected to PC using TP-Link UB500 Bluetooth adapter.

When the music is not playing for ~5 minutes, the speaker turns off without any sounds.

When I turn off by pushing the control knob I hear the guitar sound.

But my Emberton turns off arbitrary without sounds.

Problem for a few days.

14 months everything was ok.

I will be grateful for help. Thank you.

Is there any chance to rectify the way the master volume pot on the CODE 50 behaves via a firmware update? Or is it a malfuncion on my device?

From 0 to 1 there's, well, nothing. No sound. Above that, there's about two millimeters of neighbour friendly bedroom level followed by an abrupt kick in the guts.

Thanks in advance.

There's a noticeable bit of digital noise/fizz  in the output.  Fiddling with gain, volume, presence and resonance settings seems to help a bit.  Upping the gate settings only cuts it out when you're not playing, otherwise it pops back in as soon as you start, only now with sustain  and response issues associated with setting the threshold too high.

I've seen this issue noted on other boards, and the problem seems to be rooted in the signal processor. Does Marshall have a fix in the works?

I bought a CODE 25 amp and I can’t connect with any computer, I have tried with 2 different cabes and some differente OS: Windows 7, 10 and macSierra. I was thinking to update the firmware but, I can do that because the amp is unable to be recoginized by a computer!

It`s really frustrating!

When I try to hook my amp to my laptop, a box appears at the bottom of the screen that says code 50 not connected. I'm no computer genius and I'm sure I'm missing something simple but, how do I get it to connect?

I am wondering if anyone has a preset that will work for using an external effects pedal into my Code 50? I only want to run the external effects (distortion, reverb, delay) and nothing fromthe amp itself. What I am seeing is that even with all effects (amps, modeling, etc.) turned off on the Code my pedal into it sounds like garbage. Very muffled, bassy, and muddy. I have the EQ on the amp set so that the bass is all the way down and mid/tebble are all the way up and it still sounds terrible. I don't want to have to edit and mess with every patch on my old Zoom GFX8. The pedal doesn't sound like this into my old 40 Watt Fender bassman.

Any advice on setting up the Code to sound good with external effects would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I recently bought a code 50,, but about 6 times now, while holding the save button to quick save a preset, after  saving there is no sound from the amp, and I cannot change presets, or any other parameter. Turning the amp off ,then back on, and it starts working again. This is using the controls on the amp, not the gateway app. I checked the firmware about a week ago, and the program says I have the latest firmware.

Hey Marshall,

I visited the dealer recently and tried another CODE 25 amp in the shop with the same latest FW version.
The same bluetooth behavior was observed (as described in many threads here, for example this ).
If you insist that it's a HW problem - please make an official statement that CODE 25 amps with serial numbers XX-XX have faulty Bluetooth Modules and you would like to recall/replace it. I think you can easily check your production and make a quality check on this case.

I think there are only few ways forward:

-  a FW update with a fix, promised a long time ago. Is it really so hard to rollback a piece of code, revert some changes from the latest FW update?

- official recall, so that we just return it and get a 100% working unit instead.

- make the firmware code open source, so that we could fix it ourselves and make further improvements.

Regards,
Ilya

Not a lot honestly. I've had a 50 watt Marshall DSL head for about 6 years now, and it's been wonderful.

The thing is, Marshalls do the Marshall sound very well. But people do not have the space to make the Marshall come alive. Even 50 watts is way too loud to cut loose and open it up to a really nice saturated volume. To keep up with the br00tal metalz times, Marshall has been increasing the preamp gain stages. I have 4 preamp tubes in my amp, and it has way too much gain on tap. Preamp gain will always sound fizzy and harsh compared to poweramp gain, and Marshalls produce way too much volume to open up the poweramp to a nice tonal level, especially in the era of excellent PA systems and great microphones

I think that a lot of folks throw money at the problem, buying independently built amps made with period correct caps and resistors, PTP wiring, etc. But the differences are marginal at best when comparing two identical circuits (mathematically speaking) build with the types of parts used at Marshall vs. NOS stuff by indie builders. I honestly think half of the appeal is placebo effect. Players fool themselves into thinking their indie build JCM800 copy sounds sooooooo much better than a newly made JCM800 from Marshall. They're the same, any difference will come down to the speakers, microphones, PAs, and guitars used.

Hi,  I have spent hours  trying to develop a clean sound and I am beginning to think it's not possible with this amp.  It is way too bright, or high toned...  It's like the guitar's B string is way louder than the other strings..  I have tried 2 stratocasters, and my alvarez acoustic and they all sound horrible.  These guitars sound fine on other amps.  I have even turned off all of the effects and I can still hear that high ringing noise, so it looks like the problem is not something I can adjust away...   Has anyone else experienced this?  Hopefully I am missing something simple, because I love the idea of the amp and interface.

HI just got  a new (3 days old) JVM 205C and played it a couple of times then when I went to turn it on again it will not make a sound!

It starts and all the tubes light up but when you turn off the standby nothing happens and no sound at all comes out, not a click as if the standby swith is doing nothing.

I did read the manual about the FX loop button muting the amp without effects plugged in but I have tried everything I can think of so far, guitars, leads other power sockets but no go!

Anybody have any ideas???

Thanks

Mark
