My Marshall Code 50 has been working very well until recently while im playing the speaker will just cut off out of nowhere. I am trying to see if anyone would know how to help with this problem. Thanks.
If I connect my DSL40CR to an external speaker cabinet should I disconnect the internal speaker ?
The manual that came with the head says use output 3 when using a single 8 ohm cab.
The online manual on the Marshall website says to use output 2 when using a single 8 ohm cab.
I have plugged a single cab into these both at different times and output 2 seems to have more volume and treble than output 3
I am slightly confused and annoyed as shouldn’t either 8 ohm output sound the same irregardless of which one I plug my single 8 ohm cab into?
I would appreciate some clarification so that I can use the correct 8 ohm output for my speaker cab!
Update to my original post as I have an additional question related to rear speaker outputs.
The third output speaker socket and the revised manual show this as output for 2x16 ohm. (Mine has the modified sticker attached)
Does this mean:
a: that you can plug two 16 ohms speaker cabs which have been set up in parallel into output socket 3 and the power amp sees a total of 8 ohms? .
b: output socket 3 already internally wired in parallel with socket 2 and such you plug one 16 ohm cab into socket 3 and one 16 ohm cab into socket 2, for a total of 8 ohm impedance?
c: Not sure what else could be possible?
Could you please confirm which is the correct approach? Thanks, Ross
How are the four Celestion G12M-25 (25W, 16Ω) speakers wired ― series or parallel ― inside the 1960AX and 1960BX extension speaker cabinets?
How are the four custom speakers (8Ω, 50W) wired ― series or parallel ― inside the CODE™ CODE412 extension speaker cabinet?
Please fix this, Marshall!
The only way to listen music on Woburn is via cableless connection. You cant plug your TV or DVD player in it, as it has a huge delay.
I've spoke with someone of Marshall team, and I was adviced that, this product is not ment to be used with TVs, Piano, Guitar or any other devices. So, how many speakers I need to own in my house? One for music, a soundbar for TV, amp for my guitar?
I would giveup multi-room feature if AUX and/or RCA had no latency!
If I did know there would be latency over AUX and RCA I would never buy this expencive speacker! Bose Soundlink had the same issue, but they DID FIX it with with an firmware update. Why Marshall didn't fix it yet?
So Please dear Marshall team! If you read this, please! Fix the latency over RCA or / and AUX so I can love my speaker again.
How are the two custom speakers (4Ω, 50W) wired ― series or parallel ― inside the CODE™ CODE212 extension speaker cabinet?
Looking to confirm, when using headphones on 5 Watt, you disconnect the speaker correct? Also, does this need to be in low power only or can it be in normal power for headphone use?
Which speaker jack is for the 8 ohm, the one in the very center or the one next to the 1x16 where the cabinet pluggs in? Their are 5 jacks, so counting from left to right which one is the 8 ohm jack ? Thank you.
How do I register my new speaker cabinet in the United States?
The warranty card gives me a weblink of www.marshallusa.com/warranty, but when I go there, it says; "EPIC 404! AN EAR OCCURRED WHILE PROCESSING YOUR REQUEST."
Hi,
I just decided to upgrade my Marshall 5 combo speaker. When installing it, I noticed that there is a rubber stopper on the bottom of the amp, facing the speaker. I'm assuming this is to guard the speaker magnet from damaging the amp(?). However the replacement speaker's magnet is larger than the stock. Can I remove the rubber stopper? Is there another purpose for it? Any potential damage to the amp or transformer by removing it?
I just received my Marshall code 100 head now I'm trying to figure out what the best 2x12 cab would be to connect it to. I'm leaning toward the orange ppc212 with v30 is in it has anybody tried this?
Hi there!
I've just bought a 2x12 extension cab which is 8ohms. Can I plug it into one of the 8ohm jacks of the DSL40cr and keep the 16ohm internal speaker connected to the 16ohm jack? I'd like to use the three speakers at the same time, is this configuration ok?
Regards,
Frank Toledo
The 100w head is not loud enough for me so can i run it into the return of a louder head , this would mean the louder head having the 4x12 connected + the code head would have no speaker connected , now i always thought that solid state amps do not require a load box but the manual says do not leave the speaker un connected , so can i run this way or do i need a load box even tho the amp is solid state ?
Hey,
So I bought a 2nd hand Marshall Stanmore speaker. Speaker itself works fine over BT but the Source button doesn't work so can't switch from BT to input 1/2/optical. The button clicks and feedback as it should but no function.
I wouldn't mind if it was stuck on input 1 as that how I'll use it.
Any ideas on how to solve?
Thanks
Guys, I've been doing some research on which one is the better choice between non-portable speakers between Marshall Acton II vs Marshall Stanmore II vs Marshall Woburn II. Yeah, I know all the pros and cons, but I need an advice from the one who has some experience with these. I need some juicy audio guys and budget is a thing, unfortunately. I'm willing to throw whatever it takes to have excellent quality sounds, but if it's not a huge difference between audios (except loudness), I prefer to spend less.
Hi
I have a rare JCM800 bass cab from the 1980's model 1553 serial 1729 and was wondering what the standard speakers where in this model. it's currently fitted with the x2 10" Celestion K10-70 cones and one 15" Celestion Sidewinder S15-250.
where could I buy replacements if one of them failed?
thanks
Neil
hallo Marshall team,
please can you tell me if the DI/Out socket can be used also with headphones?
is it confirmed that once I connected the DI/Out to a mixer PA or a Audio Interface, I can un-plug the speaker cable fro the amp without damages?
thank you
regards
Hallo,
I just purchased my new Origin head 20H and I noted a discrepancy between the rear panel speaker TAGS and the electronic manual and photo available on Marshall website. In my amp there is the socket n.2 for a mono 8 ohm connection ans the socket n.3 is labeled with a dotted line to the n.2 for the connection of a pair of cabinet 16 ohm. while in the Marshall web site the sockets n.2 and n.3 are labeled with 8 ohm. Could you Clarify please? thanks.
