I'm experiencing unwanted noise when connecting my Code25 via USB to my iMac. I've tried several different USB cables and I'm using GarageBand, making sure to turn off all plugins and no other applications are running. I've seen mention of the same issue on other forums. I've created an audio file with a sample of the unwanted noise. https://soundcloud.com/victor-futura/marshall-code25-usb-noise
Is this a known issue, if so, can it be corrected in a future firmware update?
ive had a mg30cfx for a couple years now. the amp randomly cuts out every now and then. volume doesnt go over 3.... any ideas??
Hey there! I have just acquired a DSL 401 and am searching for a manual. Anyone have an idea of where I might find one? Thanks.
I've been recording on garageband and other softwares for a long time already!
However, I've bought this (crappy) amp to record via USB on these DVAs I'm used to work with. SO, aparently, after questioning people who uses the same amp, and here on the forum, NOBODY could explain the real reason why this "amp" won't work for recording via usb!
The TWO computers I use (macbook and PC - windows7) reconize the amp, however NO SOUND AT ALL are recorded!
I am familiar with LINE 6 products and I use them a lot. No problem at all with this gear! But MARSHALL, the most famous brand of amps on the world, releases an amp promising to do something they aparently are not able to!
Lame amp! recently bought and, hopefully, recently SOLD! Waste of my time and money!
I wasn't able to find any Sum41 patches for my Marshall Code 50 at the marshallcode.tools website. I tried recreat the sound by myself but I couldn't. I would appreaciate if someone could help me with the settings like gain, bass , treble ,effects etc .
Thanks in advance.
Hello, i have bought Marshall headphones (Monitor II A.N.C.) and i cant connect them to my laptop via bluetooth (Jack is fine). When i wanna pair them with my phone, there is no problem about that, but problem appears, when i want to connect them and listen to music on my PC. When i open bluetooth app, the headphones are recognized by the PC ( not as headphones, but as phone/other gadget). I have added a picture, how does the situation looks like. You can see, that it recognizes the headphones(as MONITOR II [LE]),but it does not play the music properly. I have tried to reset headphones and PC many times, nothing has helped. Does anyone has the same issue? Can someone help me please? Thank you very much.
I'm brand new to the forum and I'm here because I have a problem. I bought my CODE 50 about a month ago -- love the amp by the way -- and it's been connected to my Android smart phone ever since I first set it up. I have the auto connect feature enabled so whenever I've been out of range, then moved back into range, it reconnects automatically.
Well, it's worked normally until this morning, when I noticed that nothing was happening when I was changing some settings using my phone. Come to discover the pairing had been lost. At first I started to retry pairing from the phone's menu, where it showed the CODE 50, but it didn't show it as being connected. When I put the amp in pairing mode, it had no effect in the app.
So I exited the app and booted the pairing function in the phone. The phone paired with the amp quickly, showing the amp's code. But when I went back into the app, now it doesn't even show the amp anymore and when I hit the scan button down in the bottom left of the screen, the app just sits there and doesn't do anything. I've tried restarting the app, but that doesn't do any good. It just comes right back to the same screen as before.
So, what now? I'm thinking about uninstalling and reinstalling the app, cuz I can't think of anything else that might work.
i was wanting to register my marshall code amp. ver pleased with it cheers!!! im just trying to figure out which one is the registration number as there's a few on the back . cheers

Hello, i have a lot of problems for connecting with the CODE 25 via a Samsung smartphone, a while ago it worked fine. But the last couple of days the bluetooth is killing me.
So i already tried what i read on this forum,
Re install Gateway, delete the Code 25 from the bluetooth and try again. When i put bleutooth on , i see the device on my smartphone, but it don't want to connect and on the screen of the CODE it says Bleutooth : VO............
It always say: Error, can not communicate with CODE VO.............
Can somebody help my please?
Hello, just purchased this amp, play almost everyday and love it. When I first got it (playing for hours) I noticed there was a crackling/scratchy... almost like a loose connection sound from the amp, I played around with the cord and it didnt happen again until tonight, about 2 months later. This time it didnt just go away so here are my observations:
I was on full power, maybe 2 on volum, on the clean channle with gain. It seemed fine on e, B, G but on D is where it happened, didnt matter what fret and it seemed to do it on the A and E as well but not as much, I switched channels it did the same, I went into standby and switched cables, same thing, I plugged the guitar in another amp and the issue did not happen, I plugged the guitar back in to the marshal, the crackle was still there. I turned the amp off, put it in half power, turned it back on and no crackle. I turned the amp off, did a few things around the house. came back, put the amp back to 40W, turn it on and it is fine.
Thinking it happens if it gets warm? I have never had a tube amp... so im not sure what signs to look for with regards to a tube going bad... I'm not sure if originally leaving it at 40W and restarting it if it would have been fine. I will try and recreate and see what happens. Any thoughts?
UPDATING:
The foot switch made no difference. I'll move it to another room tonight. I have included a recording if anyone wants to hear it. In the recording you here the noise, I hit the B string 3rd fret... and it goes away, i then hit the D string 12 fret and you hear it come back.

Hi all
I’ve recently purchased a code 50 and I’m fairly happy with it but not 100%.
I do have a issue with the delicate volume control, which has been raised by a few people on here - but I can live with that.
My main problem is some notes sound real muffled when I kick in any thing over a clean present. I seem to be loosing clarity on a distorted chord especially the low end and even more so around the 12th fret. This is made even worse when using the bridge pickup.
So a power chord on the 12 sounds ok when picked but as a chord, by the strike of the D string there’s hardly anything there.
I’ve tried the speaker and headphones but all feel the same. I playing a Gibson SG straight in with no other effects.
Does any one have any suggestions?
I’ll try and put up some recording, as I don’t have any other guitars or amps to compare against.
Is anybody aware of the timing for the release of the PEDL-91016?
Can't seem to find anywhere here in the States that sells just this - I'd settle for the inductor that blew! - Right now I just have it by-passed (the Inductor- 250uH, if it is the same as on the MG100HDFX) - For anyone who may be interested - the sympthoms that lead me to find the issue was: excessive noise when a straight 1/4" guitar cable was inserted (without a guitar attached) With a guitar straight in the noise was still present but the guitar could be heard behind the noise as if nothing was wrong... the only thing that I know prior to the issue was having the amp on and then connecting an iPad via a iRig2 to the amp - Of course, not the correct approach but it happens - TURN yer AMP OFF before plugging in any devices - once connected then turn it on as long as the inputs on the devices are turned down prior to turn it back on - this way you can roll up the volume to make sure everything is OK -
Anyway, please assist in helping me locate a replacement input Jack!
I have an Origin 20 Combo and I just bought a new set of tubes, and I was wondering if i have to take it to a technician to bias it, or even if it needs to be biased?
THANKS
A few of you may scoff at my quesion. But what's with the Gain, Volume and Master Volume on the code.
I can appreciate having a gain and master volume, or a volume and master volume, but why all three?
I can't seem to differentiate any discernable reason for this. Any ideas people?
Look at it this way, turn the volume up and the master down to get a more distorted sound at a lower level, but there's the gain for that? See what I mean?
Another quick question:
Exactly how does the Noise Gate operate??? Not quite sure how to ask this question but here goes:
Does the Gate simply suppress ANYTHING and EVERYTHING below a certain SIGNAL level (depending on the setting) or is it able to determine the frequencies of the noise and only attentuate those frequencies (again depending on the setting)???
In other words: if you set the Gate to eliminate noise when there is supposed to be silence then no problem i.e. this works fine but you can hear the noise when you start playing i.e. it lifts with your sound. But I THINK I noticed this morning that if you set the gate higher then it seems to start seperating out the noise from the actual guitar sound (although it does alter the sound to a degree but nothing major or problematic). And it doesn't seem to affect sustain i.e. if it were merely suppressing ANYTHING and EVERYTHING below a certain SIGNAL level (depending on the setting) then it stands to reason that the higher you set it the more it will chop your sustain as the note decays and it doesn't appear to be doing this.
Hope the question makes sense.
Regards,
Dale.
I connected the CODE to my PC using USB but I cant do anything in the Reaper DAW. Tell me the settings pls
Hi everyone,
I getting ready to utilize an old Valvestate VS100 Combo. I need a foot switch that will allow me to utilize the three distinct channels on the amp.
Clean, OD1, and then Lead or OD2. Which switch can I use.
Thanks in advance.
