I'm using USB on my Mac and the Mac sees the Code and allows me to set the speaker to it.
When I pull up a Youtube video and start it the video will play for about 5 seconds and then halts.
It's almost like something else is intercepting it. It basically locks up and I have to close the browser.

Same issue when using the Code 25 as input device on Mac for Garage Band. It recognizes it but when I record
upon playback the sounds are scratchy and unusable

This Code 25 works on my Windows Machine both ways as Input and Output device flawlessly

I have installed the latest firmware so that is not the issue.

Any ideas on what it might be causing the problem on the Mac?

Hello, I've had my code 50 for about a year and a half. A few months ago I noticed my amp would stop projecting any noise a few seconds after i would turn on the amp, i found it weird because when i play with my headphones plugged in it works fine but when the signal passes through the speaker it stops making any noise, just completely shuts off.

It isnt the cables or the guitar as I've tried multiple on the same amp, so I imagine it is a problem with the speaker, anything I can do?

Hello.

I have a Code50 50W and i´m thinking of upgrading the speaker. One of the choices i´ve found was the Celestion F12-X200

Thing is: The Code50 is a 4 Ohm 50W amp, while this speaker is a 8 Ohm 200W. My question is how this would interfere in the sound / Volume of the amp?

Thankyou in advance :)

Can the speakers be upgraded on the Code 412 cabinet?  If so, is it something a person can do who’s never changed a speaker before, or would it need professional installation?

Looking for the best way to run a 1922 ext cab rated for 8ohms and use together with the internal 16ohm speaker. Can the speaker outputs be mixed? i.e. 16ohm speaker to the 8ohm output and 8ohm cabinet to the 4ohm ouput to achieve 5.33 load?

Hi,

I use de Plexi/Classic 100W for an Angus Young tone. When I crank up the volume above 1/3 I got a lot of feedback noise. It is like the sound of a mic that picks up its own sound from a speaker. Whatever I try do to, it won't go away.

I bought this amp with the CODE 412 Cabinet for stage performances, but it is unusable this way. Can you please help me to solve thsis problem?

Kind regards,

Paul

High, first off, I am new to the modeling world, my main rig is peavey and Line6 DT25 tube rigs.

I bought a Code 50 as a quick and reliable solid state backup/practice amp to gig with if needed.

I love the sounds of it but at times the BASS just takes over even when Bass knob is rolled to

zero. no matter what settings i use the Bass is booming. I am thinking of a speaker upgrade

possibly but is there any advice on settings that may help me pull the mid range out more. I

use Super Cleans and Gritty Gains. Hard Rock/Metal sounds

Hello - I have the Marshall DSL1CR and and would like to use the emulated out with headphones.  However, when I plug in my headphones, sound still comes out of of the speaker.  Am I supposed to disconnect the speaker jack (I wanted to confirm this before trying as I didn't want to damage the amplifier).  Any help with instructions on how to use this amp with headphones for silent practice would be very helpful.  Thanks!

Hi, can I connect the emulated out to my audio interface without it automatically disconnecting the speaker. My other amp disconnects the speaker when I plug into the line out.

This is probably something you've answered before, but I want to run an extension cabinet with my DSL40C, found the PRS Stealth 70 to be the appropriate size to enable stacking and, since it's a 16 ohm cabinet, I assume I can plug the internal speaker into one of the 8 ohm jacks and the PRS Stealth cabinet into the other 8 ohm jack.

Oh, by the way, I should have checked before I dropped the cash on the cabinet, I know...

When I just play the guitar I get sound from both sides of my headphones. When I use the bluetooth or use the mp3 in jack and play a backing track it cuts out the right side headphone.

When I play with no hedphones it sounds fine thru the speaker.

Is this normal or do I need to change the settings on the output from my phone or something?

Actually I'm totaly not interested in bluetooth connection, but of course I understand that it might be an essential prolem for some people...

But there are some other problems I'd like you to find good solution for.

1. Master volume. From 0 to 10% there is almost no sound, over 10% it becomes very loud.

2. Decreasing sound level with Volume pot results in decreasing USB signal level - not acceptable for players using USB output for recording in DAW software. It would be nice if for clean preamp gain at 2 and volume at 3  give recording level about -6 dB, now it is about -36 dB...

Best regards, Jacek.

P.S. What is a frequency range of CODE 25 speaker?

Hi, 3 question:

1) I'm Italian and I just purchased on ebay a brend new DSL40Cr from a UK shop. I was wondering if the ampli still works at 220V - 50 Hz as per manual, regardeless the fact it comes from UK, and if will arrive with power calbe schuko plug or UK plug. In this case may I use an adaptor male shuko/female UK ?

2) I would like to know if I can use an external speaker as additional together with the internal Speaker, for example the internal 16 Ohm speaker + an external 8 Ohm speacker connected obviously at right socket.

3) in case of use of one external speaker (e.g. 8 Ohm ) which one I should connect of the two socket where is labeled down "1 x 8 OHM - 2 x 16 OHM" ? is it indifferent, the one to the left or the right ?

update for the question n.2: maybe I figure out how it has to be done: unplug the internal speacker from 16 OHM socket and plug it into the 8 OHM speacker. plug a 16 OHM external cabinet into the other 8 OHM Speacker socket. otherwise only configuration showed on manual are allowed. Is that correct?

thank you

Hello everyone. I just purchased a used DSL40 today and I want to use an extended cabinet (16ohms) as well. Do I move the internal speaker to an 8ohm spot and the external cabinet to the other 8ohm spot? Thanks - Chris

I'm using a Origin 50 combo. I find when I crank the master volume and play at higher volumes, I get what sounds like glassy tube rattle. There is also just generally more noise than I would expect. I tried it with a different cabinet. It seems to be worst when using the internal speaker or when the amp is sitting on top of the external cabinet... my assumption is that the physical vibrations due to high volume are causing the tubes to rattle. The rattling is getting passed through the speaker, meaning that it is not just simply a physical rattle, but it is a transferred into the signal.

It sounds similar to some of the problems on the internet with the Class 5 that had rattling. Someone suggested that tube rings would fix it. Any suggestions?

Thank You All
