I've been recording on garageband and other softwares for a long time already!

However, I've bought this (crappy) amp to record via USB on these DVAs I'm used to work with. SO, aparently, after questioning people who uses the same amp, and here on the forum, NOBODY could explain the real reason why this "amp" won't work for recording via usb!

The TWO computers I use (macbook and PC - windows7) reconize the amp, however NO SOUND AT ALL are recorded!

I am familiar with LINE 6 products and I use them a lot. No problem at all with this gear! But MARSHALL, the most famous brand of amps on the world, releases an amp promising to do something they aparently are not able to!

Lame amp! recently bought and, hopefully, recently SOLD! Waste of my time and money!

For the past two years, I've been playing.

I play classical guitar, but I want to play metal, rock, and blues, and I'm looking for my first electric guitar and amp, but I can't decide which one to acquire.

For the past week, I've been watching reviews on YouTube:)

Hello, just purchased this amp, play almost everyday and love it. When I first got it (playing for hours) I noticed there was a crackling/scratchy... almost like a loose connection sound from the amp, I played around with the cord and it didnt happen again until tonight, about 2 months later. This time it didnt just go away so here are my observations:

I was on full power, maybe 2 on volum, on the clean channle with gain. It seemed fine on e, B, G but on D is where it happened, didnt matter what fret and it seemed to do it on the A and E as well but not as much, I switched channels it did the same, I went into standby and switched cables, same thing, I plugged the guitar in another amp and the issue did not happen, I plugged the guitar back in to the marshal, the crackle was still there. I turned the amp off, put it in half power, turned it back on and no crackle. I turned the amp off, did a few things around the house. came back, put the amp back to 40W, turn it on and it is fine.

Thinking it happens if it gets warm? I have never had a tube amp... so im not sure what signs to look for with regards to a tube going bad... I'm not sure if originally leaving it at 40W and restarting it if it would have been fine. I will try and recreate and see what happens. Any thoughts?

UPDATING:

The foot switch made no difference. I'll move it to another room tonight. I have included a recording if anyone wants to hear it. In the recording you here the noise, I hit the B string 3rd fret... and it goes away, i then hit the D string 12 fret and you hear it come back.

I have a code 50 and am trying to update firmware. I have an iPhone X with the Chrome app installed (newest version). I am logged into my Marshall and the gateway app. The gateway app shows I am connected via Bluetooth, but on the my Marshall firmware download page it says I am not connected and my browser doesn’t support download.

It’s very frustrating, Marshall or any support appreciated.

Hi all

I’ve recently purchased a code 50 and I’m fairly happy with it but not 100%.

I do have a issue with the delicate volume control, which has been raised by a few people on here - but I can live with that.

My main problem is some notes sound real muffled when I kick in any thing over a clean present. I seem to be loosing clarity on a distorted chord especially the low end and even more so around the 12th fret. This is made even worse when using the bridge pickup.

So a power chord on the 12 sounds ok when picked but as a chord, by the strike of the D string there’s hardly anything there.

I’ve tried the speaker and headphones but all feel the same. I playing a Gibson SG straight in with no other effects.

Does any one have any suggestions?

I’ll try and put up some recording, as I don’t have any other guitars or amps to compare against.

Hallo,

I'm going to buy a second hand Marshall DSL40C without footswitch. I realized that it is not too easy to find on the market an original footswitch (PEDL-00009). could you please tell me a list of compatible footswitch which can replace PEDL-00009 in case I don't find it?

thank you

I know that the Mac version of the firmware updater is coming soon. But how will we know when new firmware updates are released? Only through the desktop software? Or will there be a notice in the iOS app? The website?

Hey,

So I bought a 2nd hand Marshall Stanmore speaker. Speaker itself works fine over BT but the Source button doesn't work so can't switch from BT to input 1/2/optical. The button clicks and feedback as it should but no function.

I wouldn't mind if it was stuck on input 1 as that how I'll use it.

Any ideas on how to solve?

Thanks

Fuzz pedal.  I love my CODE 25, but I'm a bit surprised that a fuzz pedal was not included in the "distortion" section of the pre FX.  I hope Marshall corrects this with the next firmware update.

Hi everyone,

I getting ready to utilize an old Valvestate VS100 Combo. I need a foot switch that will allow me to utilize the three distinct channels on the amp.

Clean, OD1, and then Lead or OD2. Which switch can I use.

Thanks in advance.

I registered my amp on My Marshall but I don"t see where it's listed. After I registered the amp I don't see it listed as part of my profile. There should be a "registered amp" tab so that I can access the serial number if I need it. Thanks.

I have a Marshall DSL 100-watt head purchased in 2016 (so not the newest version), whose channel switching and onboard reverb I would like to operate with a Fractal Audio FX8's relay function. The manual for the FX8 clearly states that its relay function is only to be used on amps with "short-to-sleeve" switching. My questions are, is the Marshall DSL100 head built with short-to-sleeve channel switching? And also, do the channel switching and reverb on/off functions on the amp behave in a latching manner (i.e. the effect remains on as long as the switch is engaged) or an auto-off manner (i.e. the effect is triggered by a momentary connection)?

Thank you!

Where can I find a manual for the DSL40CR amp? It looks like everything here is for the CODE amps. The print on the "manual" (a single sheet) that came with the amp is so small it's unreadable even with a magnifying glass.

The Marshall web page for Marshall codes is missing basic things....like how to download. Seems to me if we are able to connect via blue tooth with our ios devices to the amp, it would be relatively simple to allow for dowloads via blue tooth. This would make the popularity of the amp go through the roof
