Hi. I own a JCM900-4100 (100W head) and two different cabinets: one 1960AV and one Laney 2 x 12" Ironheart.

I normally use just 1960AV with 16 ohm commections (I prefere than run 1960AV in stereo with two 8 ohm connection), but it happends to use both cabinets, usin the 2 x 12" on the other side of the stage as "monitor" for the bass guitar player... can I set JMP900 as "4 or 16 ohm" and use both "speaker out" one to 1960AV (16 ohm input) and one to Ironheart (8 ohm input)?

I use to store my 1960AV in the practice room, so, if I need to play at home, or in small gigs, I use Ironheart 2 x 12" only: how should I set the amp to connect a single 8 ohm speaker?

Thanks, Luca

hello,

i’d Like to know which fuse is the proper one to replace on my Woburn speaker?

and by the way, what can cause this problem...?

(can it be affected by near electrical products or a bad/defective wall socket?)

thanks:)

Why does my code 50 amp cut out? Also, has loud crackeling sound when it's working. Sounds like a blown speaker but it's not. The master volume is only turned up 1/4 of the way and it's loud. Problems still remains even at lower volume. slight delay on the footswitch also when changing from one preset to another. Frustrated in Detroit.

Good day!

January 22, 2018, bought the headphones Marshall Major II bluetooth, but at the first listening found 4 minus:
1) When watching a video from the phone via bluetooth, the audio lags behind from 38-41 seconds of viewing by 0.5-1 seconds, and watching the video immediately loses its meaning.
2) From 1 st to 5 stutterings of music occurs in 1 minute of listening.
3) The left speaker plays a little louder than the right speaker or the right one plays more quietly).
4) Earpiece headphone curve in the photo is noticeable.

Help please solve the problem, is this a warranty case? In the store you can make an exchange for new ones?
I really want to really enjoy the sound of Marshall Major II bluetooth.
Sincerely, Mikhail.

Marshall Major II bluetooth.

My Marshall Code 100 Combo Amp is making a ringing noise unless i push the the bluetooth Pair option.. none of the knobs or presets will make it go away.  however if i turn the master volume up all the way it will slowly as the master volume goes up  make the ringing noise quieter.. is it the speaker for the bluetooth or possibly the speakers in general... i literally just bought it and feel like i wasted my money.

I have a code 100 combo and there is an output on the back just like the code 100h. Is it possible to plug the code 100 combo into a speaker cabinet and just use it like the code 100h?

I brought it home yesterday and hooked it up in the studio, started going through the channels starting at 00, got into the teens before I even found one I could stand. Every single one was way too bright. I turned the treble down on those and they were almost acceptable until I started playing with enthusiasm, then way way too sharp again.

I tried 5 different guitars, all of which sound great with the orange and vox amps I have already in the same studio space, nothing sounded good.

I got into the 30's and was so dissappointed, I was going to take it back - just couldn't deal with it even though the power, range and flexibility was so cool. I finally through a thick sweatshirt over the front (double thickness) and tried again. Everything was fixed.

So my question is can I open it up, put a double layer of material between the speaker and grill so I can stand it and cose it back up without voiding the warranty or do I just have to deal with an amp covered by a hoodie?

Hi all,

I bought the Marshall Class 5 combo about a year ago, and while I think that the concept is fantastic, the actual product isn't. Unfortunately, I think the stock combo sounds rather terrible. Plugged into my 4x12 cab with Neo Creambacks, the sound is vastly improved, though, so I'm thinking about getting a 1x12 cabinet to go with the combo for smaller rehearsals and gigs. Now, the Neo Creambacks eliminate some of the fizzy, harsh and unpleasant frequencies from the combo at higher volume settings, but I'm hoping to get rid of them completely. I'm currently thinking about one of the following two speakers: the Celestion V-type (this would be my first choice) or the Eminence Governor (which people compare to the V30, but with less of the harshness). In your opinion(s), which one would best achieve the sound I'm looking for?

Best,

Michael

Hi,

I want to change the speaker of my Marshall DSL 40C, but the new speaker is of 8 ohms. In this case I will use just one 8 ohms output?  The 16 ohms output and the other 8 ohms output will be unplugged?

And about the power (RMS) of the new speaker? The manual of the DSL 40C said that the power is 40w, but the original speaker celestion seventy 80 have 80w... The new speaker can have 80w, 100w, 120w?

The Marshall Code100 Combo has an 8ohm speaker output on the back of it. If I hook up an external extension cab to this output, will it disable the internal speakers and only play out of the extension cab, or will it play out of both.

I am currently owning a Marshall CODE 50. I was wondering if I could bypass the amplification section and just use it as a speaker for my Williams Allegro 2 Plus Digital Piano, which is an electric keyboard. I ask the tech in the shop if I was able to plug the keyboard into a guitar amp and he told me that it would fry the keyboard. I figure may be if you plug the keyboard into the amp using the Hosa 1/8" TRS to 1/4" TRS cable or just use an instrument cable and plug it straight into the input jack with the power and the pre fx section turned off. Any opinion?

Thanks

Hello

In the manual is told not to use the Code 100 head without a speaker? Why?

I think it's not a valve amp.

Hi all

I’ve recently purchased a code 50 and I’m fairly happy with it but not 100%.

I do have a issue with the delicate volume control, which has been raised by a few people on here - but I can live with that.

My main problem is some notes sound real muffled when I kick in any thing over a clean present. I seem to be loosing clarity on a distorted chord especially the low end and even more so around the 12th fret. This is made even worse when using the bridge pickup.

So a power chord on the 12 sounds ok when picked but as a chord, by the strike of the D string there’s hardly anything there.

I’ve tried the speaker and headphones but all feel the same. I playing a Gibson SG straight in with no other effects.

Does any one have any suggestions?

I’ll try and put up some recording, as I don’t have any other guitars or amps to compare against.

I made this comment in response to another query and thought it would useful as part of the general forum...

Been following the comments about Bluetooth for a couple of weeks since I have been having the same problem. What I discovered is that the problem is not the amp but my phone. For all intents and purposes, the amp is just a dumb device that happens to have a Bluetooth connectivity board or circuit built into it. The primary connection device is the users phone, tablet, whatever that has the Bluetooth application. Anyone using a Bluetooth speaker should know and understand that the speaker has no application, just an ON/OFF switch and a Bluetooth circuit. It's the phone that makes the connection. So in my case, it was the phone that dropped or lost the connection to the amp. There was no way I could reconnect, even after shutting everything down and rebooting. Going through the Gateway app on my phone wouldn't work and the blue light on the amp would blink continually.

What I then tried was turning off my Bluetooth on the phone, reactivating, and getting the app to pair up again to the amp. Problem solved.

It's possible that all the wi-fi items I have in the house and garage are confusing the phone and Bluetooth but I haven't troubleshooted that as yet. I have found a simple work-around that, I agree, is less than ideal but gets me using the amp the way I want. I don't disagree with what users are saying but I also think that not every fault lies with the supplier. Perhaps a reasonable challenge to us users would be... if any musician is a programmer or electrical engineer then offer some assistance. I have yet to find any innovator who can design for every nuance we currently experience in this tech world. Also if anyone has another, better work-around then please submit to this forum.
Regards,

Hi,

I just bought a new Stanmore Multiroom speaker. When connecting it to my TV via cinch there is a horrably noticeable delay. The delay doesn't occur when I connect the Stanmore with the stereo plug.

Does anyone else have this problem and knows how to solve it?

Best

I have an old acoustic AS80R that I have been using with a semi acoustic electric guitar for a nice clean sound. I like the sound of the combo (it has Celestion speaker elements), but the amplifier makes a constant 100 Hz buzz as soon as I turn it on, even when no guitar is connected. The buzz is louder than what I consider normal. Two professional service shops have tried to repair it.

Could I use it as speaker cabinet and replace the amp with a separate amplifier & how to do it?
