Has anyone used a small pedal amp to input the headphone to a amp like the electro harmonix 5MM.  I saw this done on a Spark amp to connect to a speaker cabinet.  I would think I could do the same on the CODE.  Adapt the 1/8 to 1/4 to go from headphone jack to the input on the 5MM and then in my case that speaker cable goes to a mixer.  I know this amp does have a dedicated line out to do what I want to do.  So I think this would accomplish the same thing.  Any thoughts good or bad?  I plan to try as soon as I get my hands on a small pedal(not a stomp box, just a pedal size amp) and configure the cables to go from 1/8 headphone to the 1/4 input on the amp.  I'm not an electrical engineer, I just need a "line out" if possible.  Should work.  Thanks,

The output does not switch to earphones only when earphones are plugged. Both speakers and earphones still output sound. Works fine with huge headphones but wonder if theres a way for it to work with earphones/earbuds/headset too. Thanks.

I seem to be having the same issues that a lot of people have reported, where I cannot get the Marshall Gateway app to connect to my Code 25. I've only had the amp for about a week and I cannot get the app to see it. ?

I can connect to the amp via Bluetooth using my phone (Pixel 3a, Android 11) and whilst connected, can use it as a BT speaker to play music from Spotify. However, nothing I do seems to get the app to connect to the amplifier.

-I've updated the amp to the latest firmware using my laptop/web browser.
-I've followed all the instructions in the Bluetooth Connectivity Troubleshooter to the letter (CODE - Gateway Bluetooth Connection Troubleshooting - my.marshall.com)

No matter what I do, or what order I install/uninstall/connect, the app will not see the amplifier. Everything works otherwise - I'm able to apply Patches from ? using a USB connection - and the amp sounds great. I'd just like to be able to control it from my phone.

Hello,

I purchased a marshall code 50 in the USA from Guitar center in Jan of this year. Now, there is an issue where the sound from the amp speaker cuts off after 15-20 seconds of plugging my guitar in. I can still hear the guitar if I use any headphones. Upon contacting the store they suggested to contact Marshall directly since there wasn't a specific type of coverage on the amp I purchased. So my question is how can i contact marshall USA to get this resolved? It doesn't seem super straightforward to find their info online. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I have 2 cabs,   2x12(16 Ohms 100w) and 4x12(8 Ohms 240w).

In Code 100h manual, says the speaker output is MINIMUM 8ohms load. I can use my 16 ohms cab without harm the amp head or the cab itself?

I'm getting trouble in the 4x12 transportation, the 2x12 is way lighter. Until now I'm only using the 8Ohms cab in the code 100h.

As title says I have no output to the speaker cab. All I hear is a very quiet fizz/hum. Output to headphones is fine. Only arrived today and will be going back Monday unless I can resolve this. Code 2x12 cab seems fine and tried three different speaker leads. Gutted as I was so looking forward to getting a full weekend on this before going back to work.

I heard a sizzle type of sound one day. I didn't think that was a good thing so I turned the amp off.  The next day I began to play and once it got warmed up, sound stopped coming from the speaker. I can shut it off, let it cool down and it will play once again for a few minutes and then it stops again. I have owned the amp for a couple of years and never had this problem before. Is this a common problem? Suggestions?

So, my CODE 25's speaker doesn't work. The rest of the electronics turn on and work fine. I know it's getting signal because the tuner works. No issues with the display.

But there's no sound either from the speaker or the headphone jack. So, the signal isn't getting anywhere other than into the input port and as far as the top circuit board, I assume.

I note in the picture below that I took that the red and black wires aren't connected to anything on the board to the right. There also appears to be two empty connections. I wonder if they need to go on there and if I can safely do so myself. Any help appreciated.

Also, yes, the transformer isn't secured to anything. I found two loose screws inside that I assume are meant to secure it to the side of the cabinet.

Hello. I bought a Marshall Code 50 two months ago used. The first days it was working perfectly, but now, whenever I want to play some guitar with the amp, it stops sounding out of nowhere. I assume it has something to do with the headphone out, assuming that the HP OUT cuts the signal of the speaker. Has this happened to anyone else out here. If so, how did you guys solve this issue?

PS: The firmware is updated ;)

Quick 4 part question: A) can I use the USB to get a line level signal into my PC that my digital interface will push to my powered monitors?

                                                   B) when using USB is the cabinet speaker muted?

                                                   C) must my DAW be open to make this work?

                                                   D) in this USB mode, can the CODE 100 be operated without speakers connected?

Thanx!

I really don't like the speaker on the Code 25 combo and my plan is to build an extension cab with a 1 x 12" (potentially a Celestion G12M Greenback rated at 25 watts and 8 ohms). I am aware of the power / volume drop this will cause and I'm happy with it. The easy way to achieve this is to disconnect the wires from the speaker and wire them to an extension jack for use with the extension cab. But I wanted to know has anyone done this in such a way to keep the original speaker active when the extension isn't in use, but defeated when the extension cab jack is plugged in? That way the Code works as a combo still for home use, but I could keep the extension cab permanently at the rehearsal space. Thanks for any thoughts.

Just bought a brand new Code 25 amp that was delivered by courier. It sounds great in play but there is a relatively loud constant hum from the speaker from about 5 seconds after switch on. Even with no guitar attached. is this normal?

Also something is rattling inside when I tilt the cabinet side to side. I'm worried it may have been damaged in transit. Maybe these two issues are related?

Anyone have any thoughts or advice. Not sure I can face sending it back to the seller as although I bought it off a .co.uk website it actually shipped from Poland.

Hello!

I have an amplifier Code 25,

Tried to find any specification of the installed speaker Y1025J - 02.

The main question for me is:

1) Is the Code25 has the  full-range (20-20000Hz)frequency speaker or it a guitar speaker (70-7000Hz)?

2) Can I replace the installed speaker with full-range frequencies (20-20 000Hz) speaker or only the option is do the replacement with specific (I meant for the guitars only)  guitar speaker?

I see that is 25w 4ohm speaker, but nothing else to find equivalent for upgrade.

My thoughts are about any speakers, becouse the Code is modeling amplifier and probably the amplifier must produced all frequencies becouse of it. That why I am looking about extra spec information of Code processor working with all audio frequencies and send it to speaker or speaker must be specific as a guutar speaker and cut some unneeded frequencies on speaker level.

Thank you.

Hi,

I have found a weird thing that may or may not be known with iOS + Bluetooth and the Code 50.

The CODE 50 when playing backing tracks / using it as a Bluetooth speaker is very quiet (So the master is wacked up and the playing guitar is extremely loud).

and the weirdest thing (which physically makes sense but still it shouldn't do it) is that the Amp is predominatly a Left speaker when playing music through bluetooth as my phone (iPhone 6S) thinks my amp is bluetooth headphones rather than speaker (as the headphone icon pops up on the top right).

My amp is on the latest firmware update.

Is there any fix for this? There's nothing in the gateway app for audio balencing

When I plug my headphones into the headphone jack, the amp still plays out of the speaker. Is this supposed to happen? How can I disable this?

There a many questions on this forum about the irritating noise with Code 25 and Code 50.  However, it happens via the speaker only, not via the headphone connection. The presets sounds very nice in that situation. Can you explain?

Because of the noise issue I just use the Natural sound and add FX pedal effects. No noise at all. But that is not the way I want to use the Code 25. I want to use the presets.

Hi, Do someone know if the "custom voiced" speakers on a CODE 4x12 8ohm cabinet are the same as in the mg412a cabinet ? The mg cab is loaded with celestion g12-412mg 8ohm speakers that look like celestion rocket 50 but seem to be rated at 30 watts ... because the cab is rated 120w... some AVT cabs are loaded with celestion g12-412avt and some with celestion rocket 50 but AVT cabs are 16ohm (maybe the cause of suffixes change on the g12..) I've browsed  the celestion website to find some answer and the only one that had the same magnet is the rocket 50 and is rated to 50 watts... i would like to know what kind of speakers are on the CODE cab and if the mg412a cabinet sounds about the same as the CODE 412 cab with a CODE 100h head ...i don't like the format of the CODE cab...but want to keep all the tone modeling capabilities of the CODE 100w head

purchased a code 100 head and 212 cab from a guy on ebay.. sadly there is a lot of feed coming from the loud speaker output, reading into this, it's been a bit of a problem for you..

Any idea when you lot are back from lockdown, so I can pop in to have it looked at...

Many thanks..
