I bought the combo yesterday and it's full of bluetooth bugs - looking now at the FORUM my impression is that the support doesn't care about it.

- No automatic bluetooth connection - iPHONE - I am having always to force Iphone to "forget" the AMP and pairing it again... each time...

- MAC IOS , When I try to connect the bluetooth in my MAC, it makes the system crashes, mouse and keyboard stop working... there's no were to get the necessary code to bluetooth connection...

DO WE HAVE PLANS FOR A NEW FIRMWARE TO BE RELEASED SOON ? PLEASE

Actually I'm totaly not interested in bluetooth connection, but of course I understand that it might be an essential prolem for some people...

But there are some other problems I'd like you to find good solution for.

1. Master volume. From 0 to 10% there is almost no sound, over 10% it becomes very loud.

2. Decreasing sound level with Volume pot results in decreasing USB signal level - not acceptable for players using USB output for recording in DAW software. It would be nice if for clean preamp gain at 2 and volume at 3  give recording level about -6 dB, now it is about -36 dB...

Best regards, Jacek.

P.S. What is a frequency range of CODE 25 speaker?

No automatic bluetooth connection after firmware update.

Please solve this problem.

Or support firmware rollback!

I have already asked twice about Bluetooth connectivity issues.

https://my.marshall.com/forum/question/1647/how-long-do-i-need-to-wait-for-code25-firmware-with-bluetooth-issue-solved?filterType=recent&myActivity=True

and

https://my.marshall.com/forum/question/1308/there-is-a-problem-with-the-bluetooth-connection-since-the-firmware-update.?filterType=recent&myActivity=True

I've been asking questions for over 10 months already, and it's been a year since you released the firmware.
I am already anticipating your answers.
Do you plan to update the firmware?

This is really ridiculous. If you do not have any more updates, I hope you will be able to roll back to the previous version of firmware.
Previous versions did not have this problem at all.

I am experiencing terrible interference when trying to use my Code 50  via Bluetooth / Gateway (Apple) App while recording on my Mac in Logic Pro X.  I am using a microphone to record the Code 50 and using the Bluetooth Movies series world to change patches.  The clicks/pops/noise/interference is loud enough to interfere with the recording process.  Perhaps a DESKTOP (Apple) Gateway App via Code USB might be a solution for all users experiencing similar issues?   I am running the most current Firmware.  Any current solution to my noise issues?

Thank you.

I've had my Code amp for a couple of weeks and managed to connect it to my iPhone which is running the latest ios 10.2.1.  I also got it to connect to a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab A running Android 6.0.1.  The connection didn't always work and sometimes dropped out.  I've updated the Amp to the latest firmware to hopefully cure the connection issues and now my phone and tablet just can't detect the amp at all.  I've tried turning on and off, resetting everything, forgetting the device etc. etc. but it's like the amp just doesn't have Bluetooth.  As no device can see the amp then Gateway just isn't possible to use as it also can't detect a phone or tablet. My devices can see each other but it's like the Amp just doesn't have Bluetooth.  I've also tried searching for it with an Ipad but this also couldn't see the Amp ?  It looks like the Bluetooth has died on the Amp but thought I'd ask if anyone has any ideas of anything to try or otherwise I'll have to take it back to the dealer and either try another one or replace it with a Fender Mustang.  It's a good amp but seems to have to many glitches at the moment looking at the forums.  I'll give it one more go though if anyone has any suggestions to try.  Any ideas anyone ? Many thanks for reading.

Thanks for the responses.  I think it is a hardware issue though with the bluetooth just not working on the Amp.  It doesn't seem to matter what device I use the amplifier just isn't visible to anything ?

Hello, I have acquired the CODE 25, really an excellent amplifier, very versatile and very good presets. My problem and please I hope you help me to resorve it, is that even though I can connect via Bluetooth, I can listen to my tracks ....... the big problem is that when I want to use the FX or presets it appears that there is no amplifier connected ... (either from my android phone or my Ipad I ... I do not understand what the problem is.) Secondly, when I want to install the MARSHALL FIRMWARE UPDATE UTILITY, to enter presets or update the ampli, does not recognize the connection.I request guidance to be able to make full use of such a beautiful tool for my music.I use Widows 10 and G. Chrome. For your attention, thank you very much

Please read this post in the spirit in which it is posted.

I monitor these forums regularly as I have five Marshall CODE amps. and I guess I like to see what's going on and stay up-to-date.  And I suppose I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping others where I can.  I must also note that I've not had any of the issues described on these forums with any of my CODE amps.  And I must also note that I think they're the best modelling amps. around i.e. they're Marshalls and enough said.

But what concerns me (and hence this post) is this: there really does seem to be a lack of interest on the part of Marshall Amplification when it comes to the CODE range (at least here on the forums i.e. if emailing Technical Support yields different results then I do apologise) (and given the fact that I've had no issues at all with any of my CODE amps., as noted above, I've never had to contact Technical Support so I would not know).  It's almost as if Marshall regret the day they got into this modelling business (and if that's not the case: sorry but that's my personal impression at the moment after, what, around eighteen months or so of monitoring these forums???).  I mean to say: there are so many posts around here (dating back) asking for feedback re: apparent bluetooth issues, projected dates for new firmware updates, etc. etc. etc.  And no answers.  There's even been one or two posts asking if Marshall is going to continue with the CODE range or if it's something they want to get away from.  No answer.  I think you get the picture.

The above being said: I do understand how frustrating it must be to be asked the same old questions over and over and over again ESPECIALLY when a forum member couldn't even be bothered to search the forums for an answer before posting and asking a question or before reading the manual.  Hell: if I had a few USD or GBP or EUR for every time I've answered a question on here re: standalone software to control these amps. well, then, I'd probably buy some more CODE amps.!!!  LOL!!!  Point is and all jokes aside: I do get it.  But it's no excuse for a lack of response on some very key issues (like those mentioned above).  And what's more: for some they're not asking for favors i.e. they're quite willing to help themselves but need a little bit of input (the Master Volume issue comes to mind here) and they just don't get that input.  And (back to the firmware issue): some are even prepared to roll back their firmware to a previous version as (apparently)  some issues were not issues in previous versions i.e. they're not even insisting that a new, immediate, firmware update with fixes is made available.  Fairer than that I don't think they could be.  But: no response (or, in some cases, a very non-committal response anyway).

In closing: I don't know if I'm correct in my assumption that Marshall isn't too interested in this CODE range of amps.  I also don't know if, maybe, this (perceived on my part anyway) lack of interest is because this particular market is quite tough nowadays (what with other modelling amps. and a plethora of plugins and the rest of the junk out there) and maybe the core business (the more expensive and professional products) is being conentrated on and these CODE amps. are just an irritation.  But you need to know this (as I have noted already): they are STILL Marshall amplifiers.  And there is nothing on the market (whether it be another modelling amp. or a plugin) that sounds like these amps. (or, at very least, comes as close to emulating the more expensive and professional Marshall valve amps.).  So they are actually something to be proud of Marshall.  Just bear this in mind going forward.

As I said: please read in the spirit in which this is being posted.

No response is necessary either.  But please do take cognisance of what I've posted above going forward.

Regards,

Dale.

Hey Marshall,

I visited the dealer recently and tried another CODE 25 amp in the shop with the same latest FW version.
The same bluetooth behavior was observed (as described in many threads here, for example this ).
If you insist that it's a HW problem - please make an official statement that CODE 25 amps with serial numbers XX-XX have faulty Bluetooth Modules and you would like to recall/replace it. I think you can easily check your production and make a quality check on this case.

I think there are only few ways forward:

-  a FW update with a fix, promised a long time ago. Is it really so hard to rollback a piece of code, revert some changes from the latest FW update?

- official recall, so that we just return it and get a 100% working unit instead.

- make the firmware code open source, so that we could fix it ourselves and make further improvements.

Regards,
Ilya

Hi, I have a Marshall Code 50, purchased in the US in 2016. I moved to Germany by the Dec. of 2017 and for whatever reason it stopped working. The PSU was replaced and the latest firmware at that time installed (repair done at Musik Meyer).

It worked fine until today, when the bluetooth is not connecting anymore. Any of my devices with bluetooth can detect the amp. I already tried installing the latest firmware, reseting to factory settings, "last resort" process on troubleshooting guide.

How can I get this issue fixed?

I see that the Bluetooth issue I am experiencing has been going on for some time now. I just bought this amp but I wouldn't have had I known how frustrtating it was going to turn out!

The whole appeal of this amp was that I could sit back with my phone or ipad and diddle with the settings peacfully. But no, you can't do that becasue first  you have to pair the amp and phone/ipad EVERYTIME you want to use the gateway app.

Come on guys, really this is ridiculous. How many other people are complaing about this very issue. You can't sell a half baked product and not fix it. At very least allow us to roll back to the previous firmware.

Bluetooth issues with the latest firmware and Code amps are well known (v1.41).  These issues did not exist with the previous firmware.  I'm sure many would simply like to revert, but Marshall has been telling us they have been working on fixing this since October of last year.  Alluding to new firmware coming for quite some time now...

My questions are simple.  Can you give any sort of an actual ETA for the next firmware revision for the Code amps (Code 25 in my case)?  If no firmware revision is soon forthcoming, will you offer us the option to revert to the previous firmware until an actual fix/update is ready?

Not asking if you are still working on things here, or if you may consider a revert option.  Asking if there is anything solid to give us here in hopes the issues firmware v1.41 has caused will soon be resolved (or not if that should be the case). It's been long enough I think, please just let us know.

Thanks.

Like apparently everyone else, my Code 25 "forgets" to turn on Bluetooth, and I have to restart the pairing process all over again, everytime I want to play.  I have to delete the pairing from my phone, turn on bluetooth pairing on the amp,  and rediscover the amp.  EVERY FREAKING TIME.  Where's that update to the firmware?

Hola,

Gracias

I guess with Marshall being a small company without much expertise in building amps, this should be expected.  Maybe once they've been around a while and get the hang of building amps then they'll be able to release products that work as advertised and that they are also able to maintain and provide support for.

Hang in there Marshall, you'll be a good amp company someday!

After I power off the CODE 25 and power it on again, it doesn't start Bluetooth connection automatically (there's no blue light) and I have to press 'rev+power' and perform pairing every time. It looks like the amp just doesn't store bluetooth connection configuration?

So for every guitar session I have to start bluetooth manually and re-pair the device which is not convenient.

Could you please give a possibility to downgrade the firmware? I've read that bluetooth auto-connection was working fine on previous version.

Regards,

ilya

Does anybody got an idea when to expect the firmware update? I am reading that question in the forum for months now, but nothing happened so far. It really bothers me - when I purchased it months ago I opted for the CODE over a Katana 50. Now I regret it.. Thanks for your answers! I think a lot of you guys expect a quick solution from Marshall like me. At Marshall: Please keep us informed on finding the solution. Thanks Sebastian

Does anybody know when Code firmware update is expected to be released?

Current version causes serious issues with Bluetooth reconnecion after the amp is swiched off.  Also Master Volume does not work evenly and my CODE 25 is definitely too loud for practising at home.

I have purchased new Code 100 (a demo from Sweetwater)  I am not able to connect the amp to my personal device.  When I press the Rev and Power buttons to connect,  the blue lights flash,  the device number shows up on the amp but either of my devices (an I Pad and an I Phone) will not recognize the Code amp.  The Code Amp does not show up in the "My Devices" so it never has the opportunity to pair or show up as connected .   My phone and Iphone recognizes other bluetooth items, ie, head phones, speakers etc. I have tried the FAQ suggestions and have tried the recommended fixes and I am still not able to connect.

I have not done a firmware update on the Code 100.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Steve H.
