Hello.
I have 2 x Marshall CODE50's and a Marshall CODE25. I also have 1 x Marshall Footswitch (PEDL-91009). I run the 2 x Marshall CODE50's together (signal from guitar simply being split using a stereo delay pedal). Any ideas how I could control both of the CODE50's with 1 footswitch (just to scroll / change presets up / down on both amps at the same time without having to use two seperate footswitches as this is not practical live)???
Regards,
Dale.
Dear Marshall Team,
I just get my footswitch and it comes with interconnceting cable and work just fine.
When I check the cable, it just normal cable with 2 wires in it. And I believe it is used to power up the footswitch with some DC voltage. I am curious how the digital data was transfered between the amp and the switch. Is it through the same wires or wirelessly?
If it is wireless, can I supply the DC power to the footswitch (at front of the stage) and put the amp on the back? What is the voltage and polarity?
Javen
The CODE Footswitch manual is not very informative.
I watched all the youtube videos I could find on it but I'm still confused on how some of the functions operate.
Can anyone provide me with a link to a more comprehensive document?
Thanks,
Presets need to flow easier between the different management areas.
(Reading the following is really only cumbersome, because that's how cumbersome it is to manage CODE.)
Copying one by one between amp and phone is really cumbersome.
How about an option to copy all 100 presets (or sections) between amp and phone? Both ways.
I want my amp to have the same presets as my phone.
(Others can still have the option the way it is laid out, but I don't see how managing amp and phone separately is useful unless someone really needs 200 different presets in one session.)
I like to have my preset sequenced in a way that makes sense. Artists, cleans, crunch, OD, Amps, or new additions squeezed next to existing ones. Others may sequence by set list or bands. If I shuffle presets on the computer/gateway, then the phone syncs this new sequence, and the amp does not match. Gets confusing.
Additionally, if the footswitch is assigned from the amp, then I have to copy new presets from phone to amp and even reassign to footswitch. Too many steps.
"Just use the presets on the phone and forget amp presets" would be an answer, but what about footswitch? and what about dead or forgotten phones?
Easy (automatic?) sync (with on/off for this auto/sync) between phone and amp, would allow everyone to use the amp (and footswitch) without constantly pulling out the phone and pairing to have presets from the phone available. Bluetooth drains batteries.
Btw, any phone sounds come on the speaker when playing because my iphone6 sees the amp as a headphone. So the presets need to be on the amp for any gigs.
Another footswitch suggestion:
A setting or function where the first 30 presets (01-30, without 00) are loaded into the 10 banks on the footswitch automatically? Then I only have to manage my presets within the 100 and everything else is assigned automatically?
How do you assign the tuner to the footswitch?
Hey guys, got a quick question. For some reason when i put my footswitch into "switch" mode to access my tuner it will not return to "Bank" mode.In switch mode I have programmed the footswitch to button 1 to Tuner and left the other 2 buttons to default Modulation and Delay. When I go into switch mode I can turn on the tuner no problem but (only when I access the tuner) i try to return to bank mode,it will not respond. The only way i can get the footswitch to respond out of tuner mode is to physically turn the Amp's power on then off.I do not have this problem if i want to change the Modulation button or the Delay button. Do i need to do an uprgrade to fix this problem or is my switch defective ? Please help ! Thanks again !!
The lag time in the release of this footswitch is rediculous. Why would you promise something that you can't / don't deliver on? IF the Bluetooth/iphone Gateway App were usable/seemless, the physical footswitch might not be necessary. IF the parameters of the amp (including up/down patches) were avaiable via the USB port to a Computer program/app, the physical footswich might not be necssary. IF there weren't Bluetooth and other software bugs, then the physical footswitch might not be necessary. Unfortunately, IT IS necessary just to use the Code 25/50 remotely as was promised in it's advertising when purchased. Mine is still under Warranty by Marshall. It is not performing as advertised. Please send footswitch, or send me a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) for the whole AMP - you pay return shipping...
How to use the tuner footswitch 91009?
Please videos, explanatory manuals in different languages(PORTUGUESE). Tips, secrets.
Everything that can be used for the good use of the equipment.
Is there any way to reduce the lag time when switching from one preset to another preset while using the Code footswitch ?. There is about a 1-2 second delayed reaction for the amp to change between presets. We really need a flawless and definatly instant process when switching from a rhythm crunch to a lead solo or a clean to a lead or any other preset switching.
Promises, promises ... "we'll fix it soon"; " bluetooth issues will be addressed in future firmware updates"; " USB recording issues will be looked into"; AND, a 2-way footswitch will be available for Code 25/50 users when Code 100 is released. Am I alone in my disappointment for Marshall's seemingly apathetic (non) responses to purchasers of their "not ready for prime time" digital products?!?!?! I really wanted a Marshall Amp after 45 years as a Fender user. My mistake. I should have known better. Useless, unsupported, glitched, buggy, unreliable, etc., etc., etc. What say you Marshall in an attempt to save any reputation you thought you had?!?!?!?
Dear Marshall Team,
I have just recently got my code and thanks for this really nice amp. I got world class sounds for this low price and again.. thanks.
Gateway really makes me much happier and I plan to bring it up to stage for small ocassion, without footswitch (not available in my country), with the help of gateway and no need to bring those heavy gears. But I realize that I can not switch from one to another setup in a short time while playing.
So in getaway, I would suggest to add one tab showing 4 buttons which is, in individual mode, bassically on off switch for prefx, mod, delay, and power. And other 2 buttons for bank up and bank down.
So, if we have 100 preset then it can be grouped and stored into 25banks with four variation that can be selected from those 4 buttons.
Just like the layout of multi effect processor.
Emm... need a switch to select individual or bank mode... and square bright yellow and red lamps for each button.
Emm... and display to show the active bank and sub bank... like 24.2 (bank no.24 patch no.2).
Sorry if it sounds like asking too much.
Did I?
Cheers,
Javen
I was wondering if the Code amps were at all compatible with regular pedals and not just the Code footswitch. If anyboy has experience on this, please help or give me some advice.
Thank you.
How do I restore my Code amp footswitch to its original settings so I can just scroll through my amps presets?
hello Marshall Team
sorry but i have a other question!
i want to use the Turner with the Marshall Code Footswitch.
i have the Code 50.
witch buttons on the Pedl i have to push to turn on the Tuner?
maybe i'am blind, but i cant find it, also dont find in the manual...
thank you
A number of months ago Marshall responded on this Forum that a simple up/down footswitch would be available Early 2017 for use with the Code 50 Amp, which I own. I noted that a recent firmware update included files for this pedal and also note that a "PEDL-91010" 2 way Footswitch is "included" with the 100 watt versions of the Code Series Amps. What about us Legacy Users?? When/Where can I purchase a 2-way pedal, and what is the price? Thank you!!
What I don't get is why the footswitch won't toggle all four areas -Pedal, modulation, Delay and Reverb. If set it up in switch mode to have my three toggle options for pedal, mod, delay then that overides the options in other preset banks so reverb is always left out as a toggled option... You could set this up for any three options at the expense of the fourth option. Am i missing something or is that a design flaw? I get that you might not need all four options per patch but on a separate patch you might have different requirements.
I just found out that my local dealer (baxshop in the Netherlands) updated the expected delivery time for the Marshall Code pedl-91009 from 3 weeks to 26 weeks... That's one of an update! Are there problems any with the manufacturing or deliveries that we have to wait that long?
Any info would be helpfull. I need the switch before gigging with the amp.
Greetings,
Freddy
Dear All. When recently reviewing the release notes on Code Firmware Release V1.1 it is indicated that it includes "2-way footswitch support". Can you please provide a list of what "2-way" footswitches are available for the Code 50 as well as what parameters each of the usable footswitches are able to control/change. Thank you!
Just last month I received the PEDL91009 and I just started to really use it this past couple of weeks. I really like the feature and functionality of the footswitch, I am very glad I bought it.
I noticed that if I have the footswitch hooked to the amp and I accidently hit the edit knob on the amp, the amp locks up? I can't change anything on the amp via the amp's switches or via the footswitch, I have to power down and then power up the amp to get it to work again.
Anyone else have this issue?
HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD THE FULL USER MANUAL FOR THE AMP AND FOOTSWITCH?
