May I know that Did every Marshall Code 50 complete with the earth connection from amp to the plug as my current location dealer stated that there was no ground wiring inside the amp and I have to modify if I wish to play with grounding.
I have a Code 100 and want to be able to add auto wah on top of a preset with another (Overdrive) pre-fx set and use the (4 way) footswitch to switch it in and out - can this be done ?
Really? So this thing is just to store selected presets and user set presets?
So you have a rear, top mounted display that you will have to stand over and manually change, or use a cell phone (when it works) to change the presets to decide what you want in the bank? What if the amp is on a shelf?
Methinks someone forgot the KISS rule.
Id like to suggest next time you add a button or two to scroll the presets so they can be assigned to the pedal without the added hassle. This amps effects are quite good so a simple scroll and add feature would be welcome losing one or two of the bank buttons. This isnt professional quality gear, so make it easier for the idiots like me, K?
Hy!
I've a Code 25, can anyone help me in "a Down" sound, for example NOLA album?
Hi everybody!
I'd like to create a preset which sounds like the clean part of the song "Like A Stone" from Audioslave. I've tried many possibilities, with different levels of tremolos, but this is really not satisfying... I think this amp (code 25) can sound better than this...
If anybody can help me? Ther are so many parameters... :)
Thank you in advance!
Fred
I am curious about how worried I need to be when I play bass through my new Code 100 Combo. Will I damage the speakers if I get loud?
Recently got the CODE100H and it has a problem where if I save a preset the amp freezes and no sound comes out. Could this be a firmware bug? It happens often, a few times it saves successfully but most times it locks up.
My code 100 started making a noise recently. It is a high frequency hum. It is particularly loud with spicific presents, but it there with everything. I updated the firmware and that didn't fix it. When I factory reset it, it goes away until I turn it off and on again. Also, if I turn on the amp while holding down the "amp" button, and don't conferm the reset it also goes away (until I restart it.) Thoughts?
Hello I just bought my CODE50. So first thing I wanted to do was connecting my phone to amp. I do everything from this site https://my.marshall.com/support/faq/838/code---gateway-bluetooth-connection-troubleshooting but app still don't see code. I have Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. Please help
Went through as instructed. Bluetooth seeings screen on phone set at 'scan for devices'. Pressed both 'rev' and 'power' buttons. Amp displays 'Bluetooth pairing enabled' followed by a 10 digit pairing code. But my phone simply won't find the amp. The phone is a Sony ZX1 with latest Oreo software.
Tried the same process with my wife's handset which is a Samsung galaxy 5.
No amp is found on that device either with the same process.
Not sure what's left to try
Any advice
When I hold down footswitch 1 to access the turning on/off of my compressor it doesn`t work anymore. It does this in all banks and patches yet worked perfectly previously. I`ve only had it a week so is it faulty or can I resolve this please?
Hi, I have a Marshall Code 50, purchased in the US in 2016. I moved to Germany by the Dec. of 2017 and for whatever reason it stopped working. The PSU was replaced and the latest firmware at that time installed (repair done at Musik Meyer).
It worked fine until today, when the bluetooth is not connecting anymore. Any of my devices with bluetooth can detect the amp. I already tried installing the latest firmware, reseting to factory settings, "last resort" process on troubleshooting guide.
How can I get this issue fixed?
Hi all! I'm a very pleased user of a CODE 100 combo. I'ts a quite wonderful tool for those that cannot achieve a Boutique or Vintage tool.
Until this time I used it at home mostly with Headphones, due it's power is very high to set it for speaker use.
But this weekend we had an oportunity to use it on a live presentation. That day the amp showed some problems using the speakers: In the middle of the presentation it suddenly lost volume, staying turned on. Obviously it was a very unconfortable situation, and my only reaction was to turn it off and on after a few minutes. This failure happened at least 5 times.
There are many supositions I made about this issue, before sending the amp to my dealer:
1) The voltage mains was under very high fluctuation values.
2) Firmware glitch
3) Broken Master Volume pot
I'll check the amp and see if this problem is still happening. Do you have any other diagnosis/solution to tell me? I'm very worried about this problem
Thanks in advance to all,
Matías
Hello, I recently purchased a Marshall Code 25 amp, and i'm not sure if the crackling sound was there from the start since it's barely audiable and when i play i can't really notice it, but when the amp is on and the guitar is not plugged on( or it is plugged in) there's a weird crackling sound that occurs every 6-7 seconds
Here's a video showing the issue https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWFHlhBU1R8
Any idea guys? I tried switching the power cable and the power socket as well same issue.
I have several feature pre-sets saved in My Library (Laptop using Google Chrome browser). How do I get them into my Code 50 or the Gateway app?
Does anybody else have a noise issue after an update on the firmware?
My Marshall code 50 was dead quiet until I have made an update on the firmware.
I can play music through Bluetooth on my Code when using iTunes on my phone, but get nothing when using the playback tab in the Gateway app. Where am I going wrong, folks?
Just got my CODE 100 2x12 and I can't seem to sync up the presets I've chosen on my PC, I'm using my Android device and sometimes they're there, sometimes incomplete, sometimes reverts back to factory. The android app seems faulty. If I hook the amp up to my PC will it always remember the library presets? I don't want to rely on PC or Android to remember my hard work.
