Hello Team,
I just bought the Marshall Code25 and tried to update the Firmware via USB.
I have launched the firmware update from the Chrome Navigator and from Windows firmware application. After update performed, Code25 remains to version 1.11 and firmware indicates my CODE firmware is up to date.
I have notice during the update than first, the version 1.41 is installed (MCU firmware 1.41) and just after a second update is launched installing the version 1.11 (DSP firmware 1.11)
Is it the regular behavior ?
After the update I still have troubles on bluethooth pairing, even if I read this problem should be solved by the update.
Thanks for your help
Regards
THIS IS AN INSULT AFTER WAITING A LITTLE OVER A YEAR TO EVEN GET MY DAMN CODE 100 COMBO I can even download the software for using the Gateway app " device RDAY `is not compatible " so WHAT THE HELL was marshall Amps thinking when they placed teir proprietary software in Google Play store ? THIS IS BS this is the most F-ED UP PRODUCT ROLLOUT IVE EVER WITNESSED in my lifetime WHO THE HELL IS GOOGLE TO SAY WHAT OR WHAT ISN'T COMPATIBLE you folks need to do something about this YESTERDAY ...there is NO WAY IN HELL I WAITED THIS LONG TO CONTINUE TO KEEP SUFFERING SUCH HEADACHE SHIT
How can I get the Marshall Gateway App to install on my ATT-ZTE Z971 Android version 7.1.1 cell phone ?
Google Play says my phone not supported. There are no warnings of this nature when buying the "CODE 50".
I have paired my Code 25 to my phone, which is running android 7.0, but the Play store won't allow me to download the app, or give me a specific reason my device "is not compatible". Is there something I'm missing?
I have a code 50 with the USB cord to record audio, does anyone know how or if I can even do that?
My CODE 50 will pair with my iPad, after some difficulty.
However, all it does is let me hear my email notifications through the CODE! It will NOT pair with Gateway ever!
This is a big deal because access to the amps controls is impossible without a remote connection. I'm sorry, but the control layout is a POS if you must rely on the amp interface. Who sits on their amp when practicing or gigging? The top position was a TERRIBLE IDEA! Fire the idiot(s) who came up with that disaster! The Bluetooth MUST WORK AND BE RELIABLE in order to make this amp useful!
I have followed your tutorials and cannot waste 30+ minutes monkeying around with this junk every time I attempt to use it! I have even deleted and re-installed Gateway with it paired with the ipad with no change.
Look, I don't care if you have Jimmy Page locked up inside this thing, if you cannot offer a solution for the Bluetooth issues, it's going in the bin!
Has anyone tried using the code 50 with wireless headphones?
I have a pair of seinheiser 120ii, and I just get this weird "feedback" sound when I plug them in.
The headphones work fine on all my other devices, but not with this amp.
I tried 2 other sets of wired headphones, and they seem to work fine with the amp.
Is this a known problem, and is there something I can do to fix it?
Thanks
Gerbrand
How Can I Program the Tuner on CODE Foot Controller? Thanks!
Hi,
My son has a Code 25 and the preset knob stopped working i had a look at it last night and tried the firmware update from the web site now it wont do anything and just says check USB. has anyone had this problem or have a solution.
thanks in advance
Alex
If you are good at tuning a CODE - could you please help me find tone like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abKjC7EX2Zs or this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaZc0ITpnQ8.
I am currently owning a Marshall CODE 50. I was wondering if I could bypass the amplification section and just use it as a speaker for my Williams Allegro 2 Plus Digital Piano, which is an electric keyboard. I ask the tech in the shop if I was able to plug the keyboard into a guitar amp and he told me that it would fry the keyboard. I figure may be if you plug the keyboard into the amp using the Hosa 1/8" TRS to 1/4" TRS cable or just use an instrument cable and plug it straight into the input jack with the power and the pre fx section turned off. Any opinion?
Thanks
Hello using Android Tablett the Code25 wired with USB cable gives Info that IT IS not connected.
Also one question to my Gateway and my Marshall, are this two standalone Systems? how can my library from my Marshall be used in my Gateway. In my opinion all this ist a litte bit to confusing.

Got my Code 100 Combo, how do I know if I have the most recent update of the firmware? Also, are there any plans for a firmware update to enable wide stereo like the Blackstar ID series
I just got the amp and am very close in getting my Strat sound, but, I play my Les Paul a lot more adn am having trouble getting a good clean with depth, not in your face, and slight break up when you hit it hard but clean when you hit it lightly. So far I get either muddy or brittle and no depth. Oddly enough, I got the exact sound from the Blackstar 100 I bought and it was a factory preset right there on the amp ! Then it blew up 2 hours after I got it. Turns out if you upfdate firmware on that one you kill the amp. Saw it on the forums after I did the update. Which is why I ended up with this Marshal Code 50. Any suggestions? I went through all the presets here on this site and just could not find anything. What I like is David Gilmore sounds, Santana sounds, And what I am searching for is a good Les Paul sound with depth, clean , but a bit of grit when you hit it hard , some air to it , and not an in your face sound. Sound is so hard to describe!
i hooked up my footswitch to the code 50 with the lead that came with it. No lights show up, but the preset on the amp changes. What do i do? The footswitch won’t work.
I updated to the latest firmware on my Code 50 which states it updates to new presets 00 thru 12 but even after running the update I still have the same name on said presets. Ive seen on the new 100 watt Codes that the presets have been updated and some new names for the presets which I really like. I was hoping this latest update would be the same on the 50 as the 100. Even though the names didnt change I can hear some differences in the latest presets.
Is this latest firmware update suppose to mimic the 100 watt amps ? Or is that not possible yet ?
my code worked ok with my galaxy 5 but i got a new moto z running android 7.1.1 and it will connect to bluetooth but will not connect in gateway. when i push scan for amps it never finds the code amp and yes i pushed the bluetooth buttons on the amp. in the gateway app the in the bottom left corner the amp/phone icon is missing for switching from amp to phone presets. the screen has the blue preset shown but the library has them in yellow. the worst part is that the display on the code amp is not working. it is barely readable. just yellow with the black barely visable. so without being able to program it using the display it doesn't work with my phone either. i have owned a lot of marshalls and still have a bunch but i have never been so dissapointed as i am with this piece of crapp. can't use it live because of the dropouts when switching channels and yea i know about using the same amps and settings in all the presets but that is unaceptable. i have the footswitch and thats a disaster too. one little slip like accidently pushing two buttons at the same time or too fast or twice freezes the amp or reprograms it. yea really cool turning it off and back on in the middle of a song. i tried using it live once and it was a disaster. never again. so i love the tone for recording but now i can't even do that because it wont connect bluetooth and the display is almost dead so i can't program it.
