Hello!

I just bought a Code 100 head and a cabinet.  I want to use the head in a smaller room to learn more about it, using headphones or a MG15CFR,. Can I plug in the head to the input?  As the cabinet is rather heavy its really hard to move it to another place than my "studio".

Hi,

I own a DSL20HR amp and I'd like to connect two 1x12 speaker cabinets to the amp simultaneously. Both cabinets are Marshall 1912 cabinets (1x12", 8ohm speaker). There are three speaker cabinet output jack sockets in DSL20HR:

one 1 x 16 OHM socket to connect a single 16ohm speaker cabinet, and

two 1x16 OHM sockets to connect two 16ohm speaker cabinets simultaneously or to connect a single 8 Ohm speaker cabinet to either one of these sockets.

How do I connect two 8ohm cabinets to this amp? I'd like to connect these cabs in series to have 16ohms in result, but the cabs don't have sockets for connecting them in series. There is only one input in 1912 cab. And if I find a device to connect this two amps in series, do I then connect the first cab's input cable to the DSL20HRs single 1x16 OHM input (the first input option)? Is this safe? The manual doesn't say anything about connecting cabinets in series.

Thank you! The new amp is great btw!

I have a code 100 combo and there is an output on the back just like the code 100h. Is it possible to plug the code 100 combo into a speaker cabinet and just use it like the code 100h?

Hi all,

I bought the Marshall Class 5 combo about a year ago, and while I think that the concept is fantastic, the actual product isn't. Unfortunately, I think the stock combo sounds rather terrible. Plugged into my 4x12 cab with Neo Creambacks, the sound is vastly improved, though, so I'm thinking about getting a 1x12 cabinet to go with the combo for smaller rehearsals and gigs. Now, the Neo Creambacks eliminate some of the fizzy, harsh and unpleasant frequencies from the combo at higher volume settings, but I'm hoping to get rid of them completely. I'm currently thinking about one of the following two speakers: the Celestion V-type (this would be my first choice) or the Eminence Governor (which people compare to the V30, but with less of the harshness). In your opinion(s), which one would best achieve the sound I'm looking for?

Best,

Michael

Hello:

I just purchased a Marshall JCM 800 Head and a 1960a cabinet for my office (small space not the best for this set up), but I am very new to marshall amps and heads.

would anyone know which settings on the back of the head to set to?  it is a small space and dont want to mow any down with the volume.  Everytime I switch it off I head a very loud electric 'switch' sound, sort of scary and worries me (dont want to damage the eqipment).

Any suggestions from anyone.

Thanks so much in advance...

I have an old acoustic AS80R that I have been using with a semi acoustic electric guitar for a nice clean sound. I like the sound of the combo (it has Celestion speaker elements), but the amplifier makes a constant 100 Hz buzz as soon as I turn it on, even when no guitar is connected. The buzz is louder than what I consider normal. Two professional service shops have tried to repair it.

Could I use it as speaker cabinet and replace the amp with a separate amplifier & how to do it?

I have seen several Code 412 images posted like a traditional Marshall A model. The Code 412 that came is the angled cabinet that I don't like as much. Is there a different model number/name, or are a lot of companies just posting the wrong picture?

To: Team Marshall

Does the company have a plan to make the DIY plastic corner protectors for the Code100H and the Code4x12 cab? It would be nice to protect these babies too. I've bought a lot of different brand protectors inclusing the OEM Marshall ones but none of 'em fit right. Thanks!

Hi!

Has anyone used a Code with a great digital effects processor like zoom g5/g5n, boss gt 10/100 or line 6 pod hd 500? If so, how did you set your amp? I set the natural preamp, marshall 100w power and a 1960x cabinet but it didn't sound great.

Hello guitar players,

today I got my new Code 100 head and connected it with my 2x12 speaker 1936 from marshall. I tried the presets and they sound very cool but the sound is in my opinion a little bit to muffled and not clear enough.

So I kicked out the cabinet in the settings and then the sound is very clear and cool for me. But whats exactly the sense of the cab when it sounds not good in my opinion. Do I really need them?

Thanks for your answers! :)

Does the 100c have the capability to run a second 2x12 cabinet? It surely has enough power since the head is also 100 watts.

Any Ideas of when this Marshall 2X15 Cab was made or replacement value for insurance purposes? I have ported it and since the wheels were missing added Ernie Ball casters. Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone,

I live in Australia, and purchased this cabnet when I was 18 and Im now 51

I was told by the previous owner that it was a late 60's cab

Stupidly in the 80's I recovered it in a stylish grey carpet (as per photos)

I am now trying to take it back to original and trying to find the Head to match.

If anyone could please tell me the vintage and if its worth doing.

Many thanks and look forward to any replies

Cheers Marty

not a question, but I just got a switched 1/4 female jack and a 1 hole can to put in the back of my code 50 to allow me to connect it to a 4ohm external cabinet - like a Raven RG412.  I will post pictures after I do it.

Hi!

I have a Marshall 1936 2x12 cabinet, but I am unsure how to correctly use the input jacks (8 ohm/16ohm).

Could you please send/post a PDF of the user manual?

Thank you so much!

Hello! I recently picked up an odd little Marshall bass cab and I wanted to learn more about it. The people I bought it from received it in a storage container auction and it appears old and well traveled. It's a 2x8 bass cab. Tried searching for anything like it but I couldn't find anything on it. Super weird. Sounds really cool! Any info would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm desperately on the look out for a JTM30 1x12 extension cabinet (JTM-C12 I believe is the correct part no.)

Does anyone have one they want to part with? Failing that...Marshall, can you make me one!?

Thanks
