Hi there,
I had a Marshall dsl40cr brand new and out the box it "hissed" and "wooshed" quite bad, so much so I had to send it back.
I was sent a replacement that was alot better, but still a touch of noise.
This isn't electrical noise or interference - I know what that sounds like - this is something different.
It's only recently I've been too bothered, as it seems a lot of people have this issue.
My second issues is, when swapping between the 2 master volumes there is a popping noise - that's regardless of if 1 is higher than 2 or vice versa. It's like a static pop and happens via footswitch or on the panel.
I been reading the noise can be due to caps and resistors that need swapping and the popping is due to a faulty controller. Surely if these are known problems, this should be covered.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Can you download user patches from your phone via blu tooth or do you do you have to connect your device via USB cable?
2nd question - if it is connected to USB cable, does it work normally? I ask because I had a line 6 that required a printer type USB cable, I bought several and none of them worked. I'm wondering if the Marshall Code 50 is this finicky too.
Hi
Can anyone give me the standard plexi settings please. I have adj mine so much i just want to reset it to factory Plexi. The marshall app has so many user presets on it now its got beyond a joke trying to find anything, and its in no order!. Thanks in advance
I am going stir crazy trying to get my 6101 midi channel switching to work witha new Boss ES5.
The channel switching via the front panel and the footswitch works fine.
I am foillowing the instructions in the amp manual for midi channel switching without success. In the midi patch the amp is designated as channel 1 and I insert the channel number (ie 1, 2 or 3) as the PC. After I send the patch message from the ES5 then I press the relevant channel no. and the store button on the amp and the three lights light up as they are supposed to.
However it is not working despite my amp tech telling me that the amp is receiving the midi messages.
Should the 6101LE midi channel switching be able to be midi controlled with a Boss ES5 ? Are they compatible despite their age difference ?
Is the amp perhaps receiving but not storing ?
Any help from someone who uses midi switching on a 6100 or 6101 with an es5 or es8 would be greatly appreciated ....! Thanks.
Mine is out warranty. Where would I find parts for mine? I just need the electronics.

Hi Marshall,
I recently bougth the DSL20CR marshall amp and it makes this noise on ultra gain channel.

What can cause this noise, could it be defective? I've tried it in different places in case it could be a power supply interference but the noise is still present.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
I have a problem with the Stanmore II Speaker.
It is connected via Cable to Amazons Alexa. When music is played, it always is ínterrupted by the starting/pairing sound (that e-guitar chords)
as if some device is trying to connect with the speaker. we turned every device nearby off (which shouldn't be the idea, right?) but it still
continues. it's quite annoying.
any ideas?
Goodmorning,
I've bought a pair of marshall major III bluetooth and I can't use the bluetooth mode: after the first charged the red light is fix untill the headphones end the battery. I can't turn on them. What can I do? The seller dosen't answer me. Is there a way to reset them? Thanks for your answer.
Best wishes
Ok ok, sounds like a silly question, but if I keep going with a flat head screwdriver I'm going to bust them.
had my amp 3 days, just wondering, how to I remove (without damage) the black caps on the hsndle strap.
thanks in advance.
Just realised the classic gain channel (clean) is louder than the ultra gain channel on my amp. Is this normal? This is with both channels being set the same. Also the preamp tube for the classic gain channel is very dim to the point it's hard to see it lighting up! This is my first tube amp so I'm pretty clueless.
I have a JCM 800 SC20H amp. Where and how would I plug in headphones to practice silently?
Thanks!
Hello!. I want to connect my Code50 but it says "usb error" 43. try everything on google but it doesn't work. Any solution? Thank you
Hi, guys.
I'm sorry for not posting on this forum as much, but I have a question I would like to ask. How do I dial in my Amp Settings, to get my own unique tone? It's currently a pain in the bum to do, because I always change my mind, constantly. Any tips would be greatly appriciated.
Louis :)
What is the best preset for AC/DC? I have an SG.
is there any way that i can use the amp for listening to music without using the presets ?
thx
Hi
I have just brought a Fender strat new and got to be honest it doesnt sound as good through my code 50 as my Les Paul or my Yamaha strat did. The guitar came with 9 gauge strings when i usually play with 10`s. Can i put an amp sim on my laptop and play that through my Code 50! and how would i connect
Thanks
Hi all,
Along with a number of people on here it seems, I am having trouble with the Marshall Gateway App, which won't seem to connect to my Code 50 amp.
It worked first time round when I set it up, but now, a couple of weeks later, it won't connect. The phone says its connected and I can play music through it (when playing You Tube it comes out of the amp) but the gateway app says its not connected.
Unlike a few people on here, I can scan for amps and click the connect button, but with my phone sat on the amp, it just says 'connecting..." forever and ever and it doesn't. Why??!!
I've tried unconnecting and reconnecting the app on my phone as is recommended and switching the amp on and off but no joy.
Can anyone help and has anybody else had the same problem and managed to fix it?
Many thanks
Craig
Can I use bluetooth headphones with ampli Code 50 to play guitar and listening it? I have bluetooth headphones but don't works...
