i cant load the persets from my library when i use the app
is there any solution ?!
I've tried factory resetting it. I've tried user resetting it. Nothing seems to change this. Now in device manager some of it shows up as ? Other Devices: AUDIO, Bluetooth Peripheral Device, Bluetooth Peripheral Device, CONTROL. All under the header of ? Other Devices. The audio comes through. I have tried automatically starting bluetooth services/windows audio.
Are there drivers for this that I am uanware of? Windows update isn't finding anything on it. Usually it stutters quite often, sometimes I can get it to only drop out every 10 seconds or so.
Hi, I just recieved my Code 50 yesterday "bought brand new" and the amp sounded great until i hooked up to my pc this morning and downloaded a featured preset not a communiy preset. I am running usb not bluetooth and its my studio setup. Now all the distortion and gain sounds like the input gain is wide open clipping the signal coming in at all volume levels, and on all distortion and od gain presets. I tried to reset the amp and did a firmware update now its litterally so bad you cant play it. This is certainly a software issue cause the effects and clean tones sound fine. This happened immediatley after i sent the preset usb from the website to the amp from the pc. Also i tried several guitars, usb cables, guitar cables and even my mac. just dont know wether i should send it back or if thiscan be fixed with a firmware patch or something , Thanks
Evening all,
In the midst of this Covid-19 isolation I'm finding some time in the evenings to deal with all those little jobs I've been putting off.
So it falls to this evening's task. I have a ' Made In England' Marshall GuvNor pedal that is missing the battery cover, screw (chrome) and two of the bottom chassis screws (black) - does anyone on here have a) a spare battery cover b)know what sort of screws I need and c) where I can source either of the aforementioned!
Many Thanks,
When using the Code 100H, can a Muff type pedal be used in front of the head with something other than Natural selected? In other words if I have JCM selected, pre-fx off, would the pedal work as good, or should I always use the Natural selection with pedals? Thank you.
I'm a rank beginner and I know this question is probably "beyond stupid." The issue: my Epiphone Les Paul has four knobs and a three-way switch, all of which gives me many sound options; and I have the CODE50, which has a huge array of presets using even more tone-affecting options than my Les Paul. If I want to get the best, clearest sense for each of the CODE50 presets in itself, apart from tweaking possible with all the options on the Les Paul, how should I set the knobs on the Les Paul?
Two of the knobs control the 2 pickups and allow choice between humbucking and split coil on each one. With these two knobs, turning to 0 is not an option because that would set the volume to 0 at the guitar. I'm thinking that for these two knobs I should turn them to volume 5 (middle of the road, average, "typical"), then try each CODE50 preset with the 3-way switch in the treble, rhythm, and both positions.
But what about the 2 tone knobs (one for treble, the other for rhythm)? Turn these knobs to 0 and possibly emsculate the signal in to the CODE50? Turn them to 10 and maybe force a heavy crunch or overdrive (?) onto the signal in, giving me a "distorted" impression of the CODE50 presets?
In other words, how would you recommend I dial in my Les Paul so that I can get the best sense for what each CODE50 preset does?
Is it possible to upload and save presets via USB? How do I do it? (I don't have smartphone so cant use phone app).
Thanks
Fred
Playback problem using nexus 7. Gateway app wont find my tunes. Does it look somewhere specific, can it cope with folders, what formats will it play.
Help appreciated.
I have a CODE 50, and I'm trying to download the presets that I have chosen in my profile, but I can't download them to the Amp, or to the Gateway app . Pls advise how can I do it.
Many thnx in advance!!
I recently bought this amp for band rehearsals as it was a bit more powerful than my previous marshall 15watt, it is lightweight and with presets plus footswitch I was hoping to ditch my pedal board. We rehearse in a village hall which has a hearing aid loop system and the Code 25 seems particularly sensitive to it. If the volume turned above a quarter turn it triggered significant feedback particularly on settings with high treble. Unfortunately the loop system is in a tamper proof cabinet which we are not allowed to touch. Has anyone else had a similar problem and know a workaround?
My other issue was bluetooth pairing with my phone but reading through the Forum it appears this is a "feature". If I can't resolve both these issues it is going back to the shop next week to find an alternative amp that works for me.
I've been playing Marshall amps for years now and I've bought new and used, traded for them, traded them away for other stuff, and Marshall USED TO SUPPORT us out here in the REAL WORLD that keep their amps going and keep playing them by making the owners manuals available on the website and making the website easy to navigate but now it is a complete disgrace!!!!! How F***ing hard is it to keep the owners manuals linked to an easy to locate section UNDER what USED TO BE CALLED "SUPPORT"!!! It is not very hard at all. The only manuals I can navigate to are the CODE amps. You should be proud to support your vintage amps and keep the manuals fully available online for your time honored and time tested LOYAL CUSTOMERS who continue to use Vintage or Older Model Marshall Amps. Your Website sucks now and is extremely limited. I realize you want to keep your current products out there and is no way you can continue to host all of your product specs and info on so many models over the years, but YOU COULD continue to maintain the ONE page in a SUPPORT section that details where to download your DISCONTINUED PRODUCTS and simply throw all of those PDF files into a folder and link it to your SUPPORT page so we can continue to download the manuals easily ourselves without any assistance from you guys. It doesn't take up that much disk space and is not very hard at all to encode that back into your page. I am SURE that I am not the only one here that is completely frustrated that Marshall Customer Support appears to have gone to hell and you don't seem to care about your customers any longer or you want to SELL us a manual to get more money out of us. This is CRAP! You need to FIX THIS and I guarantee you that Millions of Marshall USERS will thank you! Let's get back to putting the Customer FIRST folks!

Hi
Would a footswitch PEDL-91003 work with a Valvestate V8080 ?
Or it needs to be the PEDL-91004 ?
The reason I'm asking is because the PEDL-91003 can go from Clean / Crunch / OD1 / OD2 and the other just Channel / Reverb.
Please advise
Greetings from Vienna!
I have this amp since 4 years and the problem is, that the volume control knob is way too sensitive in the low level. Even if I turn it a 1/2 mm up the volume jumps from too weak too much too loud.
As I am using this amp in the studio for rehearsing and use a mic , it is allways a problem of volume. The others go directly into the PA not using the loudspeaker. As I cannot play mine at low volume it is too loud and disturbing the others.
Please advice
best regards
Gerhard
Are any of the CODE Series amplifiers fitted with cooling fans?
How can i get my marshall code 50 to connect to my laptop? I have a USB cable connecting the two, and I also have a bluetooth connection but I can't use the live editor or the marshall gateway.
Guys -
You need to get someone to fix the Bluetooth capabilities with this product line, like, yesterday. I updated the firmware yesterday, which was extremely difficult to do in the first place, uninstalled / reinstalled the Gateway app today, and still cannot connect to the amp except via my phone's native Bluetooth options to use it as a speaker. I am running ios 13.3.1.
I've scoured your web site, I've watched your videos, I've been all over Google and Youtube, and I am nowhere. In addition, I'm legitimately concerned by other reviews that the amp is simply not going to sound as good given I've updated the firmware. Will post again if that's the case.
I will see if I can push new presets to the amp via a hard connection to my PC, but you need to do serious damage control on this product line considering your leading selling point has proven to not work as intended, if at all.
I have a Marshall Code 100C and I want to connect a Boss RC3 looper and DR-880 drum machine to it and my Strat. Can anyone please tell me how I would do this? I am a new musician and desperately need an expert to help me with this one. THANKS!
