I'm trying to come up with one for the mellow (i.e. Won't Back Down) and one for the rockin' (Runnin' Down A Dream) styles.  [Yes, I know he's using VOX and Ampeg and Fenders]

When I get this close I'll post my presets.  But FYI, it'll be for a strat with diMarzio Area  (58  neck,  67 mid,  61  bridge) pickups.

But if anyone has suggestions it'll certainly speed up the process

Ive started playing guitar again later in life after first playing at the age of 10. My skill level is probably moderate but I enjoy playing again. I don’t gig or plan to be in a band. I’m either playing at home by myself or I have a buddy that I will go play with at his house. I have a couple nice Epiphone’s and 2 Yamaha DG60 amps. Theses amps are pretty good and have allot of different adjustments for different sounds. They both have an intermittent issue where something cuts out like the gain or reverb. I’ve though about taking them to get looked at but that’s another decision other then my request.

Lately I’ve been kicking around getting a new amp. The more research I do the more I get confused. Get another solid state amp, a modeling amp or a tube amp. I’ve never had a Marshal and out of pure envy I’d like to get a Marshall but only if it’s the right amp for me. Money isn’t a deterrent. I’ve worked my way up to looking at a Marshall combo 2x12 100 watt. JVM210C.

The reallity is I don’t think a 100W tube amp is a smart choice for me. Currently I play my 60W no more then 50% volume. And from what I’ve been told is you need to turn up a tube amp to saturate the tubes to get the most out of the sound. I’d probably only turn a 100Watt up past 50% on rare occasions like when I’m drunk and think I sound better then I really do.

Is there a 1x12 or 2x12 Marshall tube amp that you can switch between 50W and 100W? That might satisfy my needs? What about the JVM215C? What about the code 50?

I should note I like to play classic rock/rock and metal, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Kiss, Jimi Hendrix, UFO, OZZY, Pantera.....

I want something that sounds great played quite or LOUD! I don’t want something that needs a bunch of pedals for different sounds. But I don’t want an amp that has a bunch of effects but just has that fake/cheap sound. I know I’m asking allot. I just need some good advice from someone that has been around music allot and has knowledge about amps. Then I can narrow down some choices and then go to a guitar center or somewhere  and play a couple!

Thank you in advance,

signed “confused” Jeff

Anyone have a  Marshall MB4210 2x10 450W Hybrid Bass Combo for sale?

I have the MB450 head and love it and in need of a portable lightweight combo. I would even take just the cabinet with or without speakers.

Hey Mates,

Having issues with a clients amp, seems that after a retube that i did, he was playing and after about 30 min, it gradually started losing sound and then cut sound completely.  I did the re-tube myself, and biased it properly and i was able to play it for about 40 min with absolutely no issues.  List of troubleshooting steps i have done:

tried a different speaker cable

tried a different guitar cabinet

tried a different guitar and guitar cable

tried the old tubes, additionally bought a 12ax7 and tested each pre-amp tube

tried a different power source

Have tried different power tubes

have checked and replaced the fuses

Now this is what i am THINKING is the problem, I think it might be something with either the heater curcuit fuse, or i think it's called a BRT1 Rectifier?  I did alot of research and it seems that the people having MY issue, explain the same symptoms of what i am having.

Now i have to make this clear, I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL TECH, just a guy helping bands out with tech stuff that they don't know how to do.  So any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello everyone,,,

I bought the Marshall Class 5 combo about a year ago, and while I think that the concept is fantastic, the actual product isn't. Unfortunately, I think the stock combo sounds rather terrible. Plugged into my 4x12 cab with Neo Creambacks, the sound is vastly improved, though, so I'm thinking about getting a 1x12 cabinet to go with the combo for smaller rehearsals and gigs. Now, the Neo Creambacks eliminate some of the fizzy, harsh and unpleasant frequencies from the combo at higher volume settings, but I'm hoping to get rid of them completely. I'm currently thinking about one of the following two speakers: the Celestion V-type (this would be my first choice) or the Eminence Governor (which people compare to the V30, but with less of the harshness). In your opinion(s), which one would best achieve the sound I'm looking for? xvideos xnxx xxx

I just bought a Marshall Code100C from the Sweetwater sale.

Anyways I have 2 older Amdroid phone and NONE can get the Code Gateway App.

But my Newest LG Android phone can download the Marshall Gateway App and install it.

Problem is when I turn on the Code 100C and Turn on The Gateway App on my Android phone

it does NOT find the Marshall 100C and I downloaded the Newest Firmware for the Marshall 100C.

What can be my problem?.Thanks allllll....JT

Now that the firmware-update finally was launched ... isn‘t there a Gateway-Update necessary? We still have version 1.4.1 in the App-Store, and it‘s about 2 years old.

How can I adjust the Gateway app to fit on the screen? It is displaying too large and cutting off the bottom where I can switch between my library and the default presets.

I recently bought this amp for band rehearsals as it was a bit more powerful than my previous marshall 15watt, it is lightweight and with presets plus footswitch I was hoping to ditch my pedal board. We rehearse in a village hall which has a hearing aid loop system and the Code 25 seems particularly sensitive to it.  If the volume  turned above a quarter turn it triggered significant feedback particularly on settings with high treble.  Unfortunately the loop system is in a tamper proof cabinet which we are not allowed to touch. Has anyone else had a similar problem and know a workaround?

My other issue was bluetooth pairing with my phone but reading through the Forum it appears this is a "feature".  If I can't resolve both these issues it is going back to the shop next week to find an alternative amp that works for me.

I just got this head recently and installed the latest firmware update the other night (6/20/2019).   When I try to connect my IPad through the My Marshall app it seems to be a hit or miss proposition but more miss than hit.   In my settings on the IPad it shows me as connected, and the blue light on the head goes from flashing to solid.  On the app, it shows the head detected but when I press on that I get a "Connection Rejected"  (You may only control amps you are already connected to for audio output) and there's no control over the head from the app.   Now several other times it syncs right up.  I'm at a loss though.  Am I doing something wrong maybe in the sequence (operator error) or is there an issue somewhere else.  The manual doesn't really reference Bluetooth that well.  I'm not bluetooth savy becuase I rarely use it except for my phone in the car and connection there is automatic after I initially set it up.

So is it me?  Is it the gateway software?  Is it the head??   Help please?

It took more than a year, but still!

Finally the annoying Bluetooth problem is fixed!

The amp turns on Bluetooth after power on,  reconnects to the smartphone automatically without manual pairing and the application works fine (there's some problem with application scaling on LG G7 due to screen resolution, but I can live with that).

Thank you for this update, Marshall!

Even if the process was soooo slow that the 1-year warranty ended, it's good to know that you didn't abandon this product :)

Honestly I thought that we won't get any updates and I was surprised to see the Gateway application update and checked the forum just in case.

Best Regards,

Ilya

Hello.  I have a Marshall Code 100 Head, 4 12 cabinet and the 2 12 combo amp.  Absulutely love these amps.  I also have the 3 way footswitch.  What I can't figure out, is how to be able to turn off and on the REVERB from the foot pedal.  Is there a way for this?  It defaults to allow you to access the Distortion, Modulation and Delay but what about the reverb?  Any ideas?

Thanks, Larry

I recide to open my code 50 cabinet. It was not just a simple sound change matter. For me this cabinet is the low point in the project. With this upgrade I believe now th speaker moves freely. Of coarse you have all those open cabinets advantage, more crystallinity, less punch low freequencies, more spacial sound distribution (less directionality)... For me the stage effect was quite positive. Some time ago I was really deciding to kick it out but now I am very satisfied with this little amp.

I was just searching a couple websites for the Code 100W combo amp and it appears to be removed from some websites while one stated that this amp was no longer available.  Did Marshall discontinue this amp?  If so, are they planning on replacing it or just moving forward with the 25W, 50W, and 100W head?  Why was it discontinued?
