How to measure plate voltage on DSL40CR

Hi,

I wanted to measure the "Plate volteage" of my DSL40CR. Googling, the closest I got to was "pin 3". Have no idea where that is.

Thanks

Plate (or anode) - is a pin 3 of EL34 power tubes in your amp.

Warning: there is lethal voltage inside your amp, so DON'T open the cover when device is connected to wall socket, unless you are experienced with high voltage devices.

Many thanks! If one were to measure this, does that mean I would have to remove one of the EL34s and put the red probe (?) in the hole for the third pin, and the common/zero to which part?
Shouldn't the EL34 be still in its socket for a proper reading? Do you wiggle it out a little bit and then measure between pin 3 and ???
And thanks for the warning, I understand it can be up to 500V.

The tube should definitely be IN a socket. Try to find access to the bottom part of the socket. Voltage measurement is always done between specified point (pin 3 in this case) and ground - metal chassis of the amp. - Jacek Klimkiewicz 10 Feb 2021 at 08:17 AM
