Can someone please explain to me how to use the Looper Preset as an actual looper? Or, can it be? If not, what is it for?
Merci.
Jean-Claude
I bought a used code 50 "brand new" (label still present - amp just tried by previous owner but too complicated for him). After a few minutes or sometimes 1/2 hour..) the sound cuts out. Turning off and turning on again allows the amp to be restarted but the same problem occurs again. The amp is still under warranty but before calling the after-sales service of the internet site (Bax Music) I would like to know if anyone has a simple way to solve the problem. Thank you.
Jean-Claude
The amp makes crackling noises for some time and it fades away gradually as the amp warms up. It completely disappears after some time and amp works normally. Amp is only a couple of months old. It's making these noises with volume knob at zero. It doesn't happen when turning on again. But it happens again when turning on the next day or let's say 8-10 hours later. Any idea what the issue is.? ?

Anyone here knows or have replaced their master volume pots on code 50?
May i know what potentiometer value is the stock pote?
I have the marshall code 25 amp for 5 years now with minimum use as I am away from home a lot. From the beginning on the use of the master volume there is a scratching sound like the potentiometer is broken. Also when the potentiometer is pushed down lightly the sound increases from whisper to normal.
Is there some explanation about this? Or some service point in Athens, Greece.
Hi, I've seen a youtube (in French) of connecting a Behringer FCB1010 via a MIDI host to a CODE amp to give instant channel changes and a lot of options.
As I can't translate the french speech that well, has anyone a MIDI implimentation sheet for CODE amps and then I can decide if it's worth getting a host? I already have an FCB1010.
Thank you.
Hi there,
I need some help, please.
I bought a DSL 40 amplifier from Thomann in June and received it in Lisbon, where I live. The amplifier worked for a week and then developed an issue: it started producing a "fuzzy" sound with very little power, almost as if it were clogged. I tested all the channels, inputs, cables, and the guitar, everything together on another amp, and the problem was definitely with the DSL.
I sent it back and got a refund.
Then I bought the same model again, this time from Egitana in Portugal. After 4 days at home, the same thing happened. I returned it and received a new one from the store. Now, a month later, the exact same problem has occurred again. Fuzzy sound with almost no power in all channels, whether set to 20 or 40 watts.
I would like to know what’s going on? I've lost trust in the brand.
The store couldn’t tell me what the issue was since it was under warranty.
Does Marshall have any insights on this, please?
Good morning all.
I recently purchased the 2555x and accompanying 2x12 cab. Brilliant amp and I cannot say enough good things about it, so first of all I should state that this is not a complaint.
So my question here is, as Andertons sold this to me (and others) as an 'All Valve' amp, I have recently seen quite a bit of forum chatter saying this amp isn't all valve as it actually uses diodes too. Can anybody clarify is infact true?
If true, is it a mixture of valve and diode clipping?
Many thanks!
When using headphones (DSL1CR) do I unplug the line to the speaker for private practice?
I have a Marshall 1931A Lead 1x 12" 75W R.M.S. cabinet.
It's serial is 3061 on the backplate.
I would like to know it's production date and place if possible?
I recently took my AVT150H out after not playing it for a few years. I turned it on and it powers up normally but there is no sound coming from my AVT412A cabinet. I checked all the jacks and there is proper contact and no corrosion or broken solders. The cabinet jack is properly connected and functional. (It has been stored in a dry location.) All the channels are operational and able to be controlled by the foot switch. However when I plug a set of headphones into the headphone jack I can hear the guitar playing perfectly, so the amp is operational. Where should I go from here?
I Ordered Marshall Tufton speaker from Flipkart. While registering the product on Marshall site, I am getting error message "Serial number not found". Kindly need help if the device I bought is genuine or not?
I have a JVM 205H - the manual available online is incredibly basic - and has nothing in it about the midi control functions.
Buy from other brands!!
I would warn others to think twice before investing in their headphones.
You’re paying for what is supposed to be a high-quality product, but it seems like Marshall is cutting corners with materials and unwilling to provide proper support when issues arise and just offer you a coupon for another purchase! What a nerve!
My daughter paid from her student's budget for Monitor II headphones expecting premium quality from such a well-regarded brand and hoping the headphones will also last for a long time.
Instead, shortly after just ONE YEAR of very careful and delicate use, still during the (2 years!) guarantee period the headband padding started to deteriorate.
When we reached out to Marshall's customer service, we were shocked by their response. Instead of taking responsibility for what is clearly a material flaw, they dismissed it as "wear and tear." because it's such an easy excuse, right? It's clear that the headband padding is made of subpar materials, which don’t hold up even under gentle use.
For a product that’s marketed as premium, this is unacceptable. We feel like they are trying to push the responsibility onto the customer rather than standing by the quality of their product.
We found many complaints online about the same issue, and we can only warn others and regret that we didn’t do more thorough research. We trusted the brand's credibility, which, unfortunately, seems to no longer be deserved.
