Hi chaps

I have a DSL20C that I bought second hand , I only play at bedroom level and can only really have the volume on about 1-2

This isn't an issue on the gain channel but on the "clean" channel I am hardly getting any dirt at all , despite playing with a Les Paul with 57 Special plus

pickups .

Is this because of the lack of volume or is it likely to be an issue with the valves?

I'm having a similar experience, additionally the gain knob on the ultra channel seems to be pegged at max gain and does nothing. Have you learned anything more about yours? - 19 Jan 2021 at 11:29 PM

Not really , in the end I contacted Marshall and they said the classic gain channel wouldn't produce much gain , which goes against all the evidence I've seen on YouTube but thought it may be the fact that I am playing it at too low a volume to dirty up .

I have bought an attenuator so that I can crank the amp up and keep the volume down so will report back once I try it.

I would suggest you need to contact Marshall direct
