The amp makes crackling noises for some time and it fades away gradually as the amp warms up. It completely disappears after some time and amp works normally. Amp is only a couple of months old. It's making these noises with volume knob at zero. It doesn't happen when turning on again. But it happens again when turning on the next day or let's say 8-10 hours later. Any idea what the issue is.? ?
Crackling Noises while heating are mostly a bad tube.
To figure out, which section has a bad tube, you can use a Headphone in the emulated output - if the crackling isn't hearable there, it should be the ECC82 of the Power Section. If you can still hear it, it is one of the two preamp tubes (ECC83).
You can also try it with a soft tapping at the tubes - if you hear a weird noise or a microphonic sound, you should change that Tube - but don't use your naked finger, use something like a pencil (nothing out of metal, Wood will be the best) and be careful with it...don't smash the tubes, just tap it! ;D
