I read some of the recent questions on the code lockup problems and your answer says that a new firmware update is released for this problem but when i downloaded the update and i checked the file version in windows it was the same as a previous file version i downloaded over a month ago?

The version on my amp, albeit a code 25, should be the same for code 50 I think. despite what marshall suggests you cannot get the update directly from the marshall website, only the updater tool if downloadable from the link above. You have to first download the updater to a windows machine, fire it up, plug in a usb lead to the amp and if the firmware is new - it should be - it will be downloaded and then installed to the amp.
The new version on my code 25 (gateway 1.2.6 on android should report this) reports
Amp firmware - v1.3
Amp DSP v1.1 (I think this is the Dig Signal Processor)
Amp Bluetooth v0.0
