Is there any way to reduce the wattage on the code 50.  50 watts is tremendously loud and I can not get the "sweet spot" with out rattling the windows.  I know the alternative is the CODE 25 but I am hesitant with the 10" speaker.   Any suggestions?

Many Thanks!!

My DSL40C amp is less than a year old and the speaker cuts out at moderate volume levels. The amp was purchased in the Los Angeles area at Guitar Center Inc., an authorized dealer, but they are not a Marshall authorized repair center. How do I go about arranging for a warranty repair on my Mashall DSL40C in the Los Angeles area?

I am located in South Africa and have just purchased a Marshall Stanmore Pitch Black Bluetooth Speaker yesterday from the Apple iStore online site which should be delivered in the next 3-5 working days. Being a high-end brand with reputable history and having read several good reviews on this product prior to my purchase, I did not verify if there are any concerns raised about this product. Last night however I searched the internet for any customer complaints on this product and was shocked to find many complaints/problems registered regarding Bluetooth becoming unusable and the unit going dead (not powering-up at all) within the first 12 months of purchase. The aforementioned makes me hugely concerned about reliability and quality of this product to the extent that I am considering to cancel my purchase. I know that world-wide there must have been thousands of these units sold since its launch making the listed problems possibly a small percentage. What concerns me is the consistency of the registered/reported problems and that there might be many more of similar nature which have not been listed by unhappy customers.

Can I please ask you to be honest and confirm if there are any inherent problems with this specific product? I would rather refrain from purchasing a Marshall branded product than to later joint the seemingly huge number of unsatisfied customers when it comes to this specific product. I rely on your integrity to be honest with me in urgently replying to my above question to enable cancellation of my purchase.

Bought a Stockwell portable speaker. The speaker has a rattling sound, which seems to come from the bottom left, especially when a song is quite bassy. Is there any way I could get this fixed\replaced?

Hi there, currently using the marshall vba400 with the vbc412. Just purchased the DOD meatbox reissue and I was wondering what the frequency response is on the custom 12' speakers as I dont want to overload them with more low frequency than they can handle.

Cheers,
Matt

P.s the cab is from 1999 if that helps at all.

I just bought a Marshall Stanmore. I love the sound from it and the looks. I'm very happy with my purchase. Worryingly however I now see a lot of reviews saying that the speaker fails after a period of time 6 to 18 months. There are quite a number of these reports across multiple websites. Is there a recognized fault in the speaker? Or at least can I do anything pro-active to avoid the issue like not using the on off switch on the unit but at the wall? or using a surge protector? not hiking the volume past 6? If the issue is accepted and known, hopefully I can avoid hitting it? Thanks

Hi Marshallers!

From the first day when we turn on the amplifier there is a brief whistle-like sound that comes briefly through the speakers. What causes this and can you guys tell me how to fix it? It is not too annoying, but in a theatre show with a big PA we need to check the amp is turned on before the show because the noise would be intrusive if we turned it on during the programme.

Many thanks

G

Hi, I am trying to register this product on your website but it keeps telling me there is no model number. How do I actually register a stanmore speaker?

Hi guys!

I would like to know wether is normal or not a "ploc" noise comming from the speaker when switching from clean to drive mode, especially when reverb is on?  Note that even if the reverb is about 9hours , the "ploc" noise coming from speaker sounds like if the reverb was on maximum.

Thanks!

Hi, everyone! Just a quick question. I have a Marshall DSL40c with a Celestion 70/80 factory installed speaker, rated at 16ohms. It's a little harsh sounding for me, so I wanted to switch to a Celestion Creamback, which I ordered through my local distributor, but instead of a 16ohm speaker, they brought an 8ohm speaker. My amp has 2x8ohm plugs and a 1x16ohm. What would happen if I installed the 8ohm speaker and used one of the 8 ohm outputs? Would this damage the amp? Would affect the tone (I'm looking for something more classic hard rock, which I understand is the Creamback's specialty)? Thanks for your help!

The Code 25 makes a strange sound when letting a plucked guitar string sound die out, only when "amp" is selected (might be digital artifacting?) I saw one question about this via USB, but what I hear is not via USB, just out of the amps own speaker, no USB connected!

Thanks

my output mute button doesn't completely mute the speakers; it cuts the volume low but still sending a signal to the speakers. is this a simple circuitry problem? or has anyone experienced this?

Hi,
I've 2 old marshall 1912 speaker cabinets and 2 questions:
1) how can I remove the front panel for cleaning the grid?
2) there's a dedicated cover for the 1912 cabinets?
Thanks a lot

What options are available to replace the stock 4 ohm speaker that comes in the Code 50?  I would like to upgrade to a Celetion or something similar.  The stock speaker flutters at volume when using the heavy distorted/gain presets.  Any recommedations?

It seemed to have installed CODE Audio interface, because I can see it is my Devices & Printers (Windows 8.1) as a composite device with a 2013 Microsoft driver installed. But it does not show up in my DAW at all.

Where is the driver and than in particular the ASIO driver for this????

It is connected, because when I use the WSAPI (Windows Shared API) is can see the SPEAKERS from code and play audio through there (horrible quality though). But not the input. Without that, this device has not much value for me.

Thanks for your help,

James

I recently bought a Marshall 2x12" Cab with Marshall Goldback speakers mounted, type SPK100, 8 ohms, 80W each. As Marshall does not make speakers I am curious who the manufacturer is. The speaker's cage does not look like a Celestion. It seems to be an Eminence at first glance.

Does anybody have any information? Thank you!
