Wondering if anyone has had or heard of this issue?

Code50, less than a year old.

Me and a buddy are somewhat beginners, and playing Deftones and Chevelle type songs. I have a "Deftones style" distorted heavy tone preset loaded that I'm playing on.

So after an hour or so playing, the tone will start to sound "metallic" and kind've have a "ping" to it, if that makes sense. Sort of sounds like you have a speaker inside of a giant metal cup.

Sorry if this is a newbie question, just sort of confused.

The guitar was new in October, so I assume it's not the strings. I also tried swapping to my Jackson guitar, same annoying metallic pingy sound when strumming. Changed the cables too.

Any ideas?

I have a DSL40cr. I also have an 8 ohm (2x12) cabinet.  The DSL40 onboard speaker is plugged into the 1@16 ohm input.  When I run my 8ohm cabinet (plugged into the 1@8ohm output), can I run the onboard speaker at the same time, or do I need to unplug it? Asked another way, can I run the onboard 16ohm speaker and the 8ohm (2x12) cabinet at the same time?

Hi. I bought a Acton III and discovered that the right MEDIA CONTROL does not work: when I press on it nothing happens.. I have already updated the firmware and done a factory reset. But the problem still exists. Is there a way to fix this?

My Action 2 froze in the middle of a firmware update.  Nothing works now...resetting doesn't help.  Marshall won't help without a receipt, but i got the speaker as a gift.  What else can be done?

Hi!

Is it possible to record silent - without sound from the speaker - with a DSL-1 COMBO (DSL-1cr) using the emulated out?

I have a technical query that I'm sure professionals like yourselves can help me with.

I bought a Marshall Code 100 H amplifier and a Marshall Cabinet model  Cabinet Marshall Marshall MX412BR from you.

The first observation is that when we're rehearsing, with my 100W of power, I can hardly hear myself, and it seems like my amplifier can't provide more power. In contrast, my bandmate has a Fender Classic 40W, and it seems excessively louder compared to my 100W. My potentiometers are almost at "10," whereas my bandmate's are at "5."

This is the first difference I can't understand. The next question relates to power and impedance. If my cabinet is 16 ohms and my amp head is 8 ohms, I see that it's half, is this normal, or should the amplifier also be 16 ohms, or should the cabinet be 8 ohms? In the specifications of my amplifier, it says: Output: Speaker output 8 ohms minimum impedance.

I hope you can please help me solve this problem, as a Marshall 100W amplifier Code 100 H sounds very distant and as if it were only 30W of power.

 Thank you very much.

Context:

I have a Marshall DSL100 head and a MX212 cabinet. According to the Marshall website, the MX212 is an 8 Ohm cab and it has 2 Celestion Seventy 80 speakers (80W, 16 Ohm each).

Based on this, I supposed that the cabinet should be wired in parallel (16 Ohm / 2 speakers = 8 Ohm cab), like in the following diagram:

Currently, I have the speaker cable plugged from the 1x8 Ohm output to the input of the cab. It works perfectly and I haven't had any problem after almost 2 years of use.

The issue started when I decided to check the inside of the cab. I noticed that the speakers are wired like this:

From what I understand, this may also be another type of parallel wiring (If that exists). I would like to know if this is normal or something is wrong.

Thanks.

My Acton 2 Bluetooth speaker is plugged in and is in discovery mode, however when it is added and paired to my Windows 11 PC, "Battery is 0%" is displayed and audio cannot be played, We've already updated the BIOS and downloaded the latest Bluetooth device drivers for Windows 11 but connection still fails.

It's not all the time. But When I make an oo sound, like if I was singing about the "moon", it buzzes on the oo sound. Other than that I have not noticed any problem. Could a speaker problem be so narrow? Or might it be something else?

Any guidance on things a noob like me can safely look at before I haul this off to a professional?

Hello,

I just bought a DSL-1H power amp head. I intend to use my old amp which is broken as a speaker but,
the speaker (Celestion G12M-70) is 4 ohms. So I have to change it to 16 ohms in order to be compatible
with the DLS1H.
1. What type of speaker would you recommend? 2. Otherwise, what marshall cabiet model for this small amp power ?

Thanks in avance

 Hello:

We are new to amp and cabs and need some help with some test results we're getting from our AVT150HX amp connected to our 1960A cabinet.

We included images from the back of the AVT150HX amp and the page in the manual of the 1960A cabinet that outlines the use of the connections panel on the back of the cab.

Here is a summary of what is happening.

1. When we run a speaker cable from either of the two output jacks from the amp to the #3 connector on the back of the cab, we get no sound. This happens whether the cab is in mono or stereo.

2. When we run a speaker cable from either of the two output jacks from the amp to the #2 connector on the back of the cab in stereo mode, we hear the right-side speakers clearly. We also think we somewhat hear the left-side speakers, but that may be bleed we're hearing from the right-side speakers. Not sure. It's a bit hard to tell because the sound is very muffled and not as loud, but it does seem like some sound is coming from the speakers.

3. When we run two speaker cables from both of the output jacks from the amp to connectors #2 and #3 on the back of the cab in stereo mode, we get the same results as #2 above.

Does this mean that the left-side speakers are disconnected or damaged somehow? Or are we making a mistake in the way we are making the connections?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi!

I recently bought a new Marshall DSL402 LE in the UK. Amp seems awesome, but the stock speakers are not brilliant. I'm thinking of dropping in a pair of Celestion G12M greenbacks as a replacement. My two questions are:

1. Is it possible to fit 2xG12M in the DSL402 LE?
2. If yes, which variant of the G12M should I go for?

Just curious if there is a way to do this without a computer- can you use bluetooth headsets with the CODE 50 as a monitor when you play? In other words, I tried to use my headphones (wireless) to connect to my phone while the app is running, and I can't get any feed from the amp into the buds. Just wondering if there is a way to hear the amp wirelessly with the buds while also simultaneously having the amp speaker still audible.

Good afternoon.

I have just acquired a vintage Marshall Speaker Cabinet, serial no 06615. I am trying to identify the cabinet / model type / year of manufacture & speakers. I have learned I will need to access the speakers themselves, but access to this seems to be only from the front. Do I need to remove the screws from the front to access, and does the white beading around the edge of the grill need removing, or will it come off when I remove the grill? Don't want to cause any damage, hence asking for any help!! Also, the colour (same all over) - is that a standard colour? And finally - am I likely to find 2 or 4 speakers in the cabinet!? Many thanks.Rob

Hi, I have an issue where playing some notes in fifth octave like g5 weirdly resonates with some internals of the Amp amifying the note to unpleasant degree at the start of the note and even more couple of seconds later. Notes close to it behave normally.

This happens on both my guitars, both through the speaker and headphones on any cranked high gain Amp. My other two amps do not exhibit the same issue as well as boss gt-1000 connected to my code with ever section of it turned off.

Please help me troubleshoot this.

Obviously, I have updated to the latest firmware and did a factory reset after. However, neither of this helped.

I have bought WOBURNIII - like to have an AMP which model from Marshall suits my speaker system; As i have bose speakers too. Please advice.

Ideal to have an AMP to enhance my Sound Experience, as we have limited functions on the Marshall / Bose Speakers.
