My Acton 2 Bluetooth speaker is plugged in and is in discovery mode, however when it is added and paired to my Windows 11 PC, "Battery is 0%" is displayed and audio cannot be played, We've already updated the BIOS and downloaded the latest Bluetooth device drivers for Windows 11 but connection still fails.

Just curious if there is a way to do this without a computer- can you use bluetooth headsets with the CODE 50 as a monitor when you play? In other words, I tried to use my headphones (wireless) to connect to my phone while the app is running, and I can't get any feed from the amp into the buds. Just wondering if there is a way to hear the amp wirelessly with the buds while also simultaneously having the amp speaker still audible.

I was playing guitar and tried changing the volume on my amp and once I did the sound completely went out. I can't even play sound connected via Bluetooth on my phone. I don't hear sound either when I connect headphones to my amp. In addition to this, I connected my amp to my laptop and recorded some sound to try and figure out the problem, and GarageBand picked up what I was playing. This problem has happened to me in the past but after I wait for a little the sound seems to come back, but this time I've waited over a week and my amp still isn't working.  Any tips?

I've bought a Marshall CODE 50 here in Brazil a few months ago, and now I'm having a known problem with the speakers according to the Marshall forum.
Then, my speakers just cut off while I'm playing, which is a very SERIOUS PROBLEM.
I would like to know how I can have some support in this case, because for me this is a manufacturing problem.

Hello, I have a question about Emberton.
My speaker turns off after inactive time.

My Emberton connected to PC using TP-Link UB500 Bluetooth adapter.

When the music is not playing for ~5 minutes, the speaker turns off without any sounds.

When I turn off by pushing the control knob I hear the guitar sound.

But my Emberton turns off arbitrary without sounds.

Problem for a few days.

14 months everything was ok.

I will be grateful for help. Thank you.

Hi ! So I'm wondering if there are other charging options for a Marshall Killburn 2? I had a Killburn (1)before but it was i big hassle charging the speaker through my 12v output with a transformer/converter since the only cable seems to be a figure 8 cable?

Does anyone have other options? Is there any way to use figure 8 cable on a 12v output? Without using a transformer ? Don't have the possibility to charge through a regular socket at work so.

Thanks for replies !

Can anyone advise where can I find spear parts for Marshall Stockwell?

My Marshall Stockwell Portable Bluetooth Speaker accidentally fell from a height and broke the volume controller with the knob.

I seem to be having the same issues that a lot of people have reported, where I cannot get the Marshall Gateway app to connect to my Code 25. I've only had the amp for about a week and I cannot get the app to see it. ?

I can connect to the amp via Bluetooth using my phone (Samsung S10, Android 11) and whilst connected, can use it as a BT speaker to play music from Spotify. However, nothing I do seems to get the app to connect to the amplifier.

-I've updated the amp to the latest firmware using my laptop/web browser.
-I've followed all the instructions in the Bluetooth Connectivity Troubleshooter to the letter (CODE - Gateway Bluetooth Connection Troubleshooting - my.marshall.com)

No matter what I do, or what order I install/uninstall/connect, the app will not see the amplifier. Everything works otherwise - I'm able to apply Patches from ? using a USB connection - and the amp sounds great. I'd just like to be able to control it from my phone.

Hi,

I've just recently bought the Acton II to have as a speaker in our bathroom. Looks great and sound good enough. So far I'm satisfied.
However, the speaker is driving me mad. Here's why.
My girlfriend and I both use the speaker whenever we're spending time in the bathroom, so both our phones have been connected to the speaker at some point.
But, if I'm playing music from my iPhone to the speaker and my girlfriend is in another room, let's say, watching YouTube on her iPhone things get wierd. If she adjusts the volume on here phone it also messes with my music in the bathroom.

Another example:

Playing music from phone 1 to Acton II. then, Adjusting the volume by using the buttons on the side of iPhone 1 also adjusts the main volume of phone 2. Even though Phone 2 isn't in use. It just messes with the volume of it.

This is suuuuuper annoying. Since the app is no where near of being good, I don't know how this can be solved. If there's no good solution I'm gonna have to sell the speaker and buy a brand that really knows how to make speakers for this purpose.

Does anyone know if this can be fixed..??

thanks / Mathias

Hello -  After really enjoying the Kilburn II speaker, I bought two Acton II speakers to couple them for ambiant sound when not using traditional speakers since you can't couple Marshall's wireless speakers. The Acton II is fantastic for sound and range individually *before* my attempt to couple them. I've had many complex compatibility issues with products over the years, but in this case, it's most puzzling why two same-model "coupled" speakers can be controlled via the iPhone/iPad I paired with them, as well as with the Marshall app (volume/sound settings) but cannot in any shape or form maintain simultaneous outputs even when they're placed right next to each other (well within the 10-meter Marshall spec). So before returning them back to store, I wanted to check with other customers if they've ever truly achieved the goal of coupling two Acton II's with both of them continuously and consistently playing in tandem without streaming drops. Thank you for letting me know,

What I've tried to so far:

- Followed Marshall's pairing/coupling intructions word-by-word. Though their instructions are incomplete and way below their reputation.

What's more disappointing is the prompt you get in the app to "stay connected to Acton II but disconnected from Acton II in Bluetooth settings." Anyone know what that means?

- Tried two iPhones and an iPad (all latest iOS).

- Deleted, rebooted, and re-installed the Marshall Bluetooth app (v1.3.1) for iOS.

- Moved the speakers next to each other to eliminate distance argument.

- Tested each speaker with direct Bluetooth to iPhone/iPad source without any issues. In fact, range is so much more when not using the Marshall app to stream to the speaker.

- Factory-reset the speakers.

- End result: The only way I was able to have them coupled was ignore their instructions, couple the speakers and then completlely shut down their app. after they show as coupled . However, there's no way for them to continuously and play in tandem (even sitting right next to each other with source iPhone/iPad next to them). They continue to switch between each other.

- Also, Marshall needs to be clear that a "couple" can only function with one lifetime source. As soon as you try to use the speaker "couple" on another source device, you lose everything on the previous device and need to de-couple, forget speakers, re-add speakers to your device's Bluetooth, and then pray that the Marshall app will allow you to couple them again. Most of the 18-20 times I tried the whole process, I needed to uninstall their app, reboot device, and re-install their app. :(

Any help deeply appreciated before I return these speakers.

There are multiple phones that use the Emberton speaker in our house. When one phone is playing music through the speaker using Spotify and another person enters the room with their phone, the speaker will always switch to their phone. It could be anything such as a video from social media. It pauses whatever the first connected phone was playing, and interrupts any music playing.

We also have an Acton speaker and have had no issues over the years. At first I thought it was a fault with the Emberton and have had it replaced under warranty. However, the new speaker is doing the exact same thing.

Anyone else experiencing this and (hopefully) have a solution?

Hi everyone.

Since iOS does not support AptX I was curious what codec is used when I connect my iphone (12 pro) to my Stanmore.

Turns out it uses SBC. By any mean it is not the end of the world, tho now I'm wondering if I have a malfuctioning BT module.

I have a Stanmore II 1 day old, prior to this I have had a BOSE for 8 years with no bluetooth problems in house.

This speaker is a huge disappointment, loud crackling periodically, bluetooth constantly cutting off and on.

Speak to live chat, typical reset device advice, made no difference. In the end they recommend to return for refund-credit.

Never again will I buy a Marshall product, it goes back and I will buy another BOSE.

(04:43:28) Ken: Speaker links, open Spotify or YouTube, both same problem.
(04:44:08) Vincent: Thanks for trying Ken. Does it cut off on and off?
(04:44:25) Ken: Try to play, pause then Bluetooth connected cuts off, reconnects again after 2 seconds, then solid led.
(04:44:48) Ken: No sound, just keeps cutting off again
(04:45:15) Vincent: Understood. May I know where did you purchase the speaker? Is it from our official website?
(04:45:29) Ken: Mediamarkt Vienna
(04:45:44) Ken: An official outlet
(04:46:03) Vincent: In that case, I would suggest returning it to the store for an exchange or refund, as it was a recent purchase.
(04:46:33) Ken: Ok, yes I will do this. Thank you Vincent.
(04:46:49) Vincent: You're most welcome Ken. Good luck and take care!

A little less than a year ago we have purchased the Stanmore 2 wifi (with Google Assistant).  A stunning beautifull speaker at a relatively high price. At this price one would expect the best quality.

Pretty much immediately we noticed that when using the speaker on wifi there is a crackling sounds that interupts the music every so often.  At times this crackling sound can be rather loud and disturbing. We contacted marshall customer support on numerrous ocations.

After our first contact we got given some advice on how to solve the problem. This is what we were told:

- There may be other appliences near by that are causing the interferance

- Our music source may be running out of energy/power

- Our Wifi may not be strong enough

- Asked to try resetting the speaker to factory settings.

After having tried all of the above and moving the speaker all over the house, pluggin out all other appliences and plugging in the music source to the power the problem did not go away. We immediately contacted customer support again. Though they were friendly I found it strange that they actually just gave me the same message again, with no additional solutions. Almost as if my second message (where I explained what we have tried in detail) was not even read.

After a couple of attempts of getting through to customer support they finally responded with a more realistic solution; Returning the speaker. This is where I really got annoyed. I have explained in my mails that the crackling sound is not constant. In their response about me being able to return the speak for them to see what the problem is they were clear that should they find no problem that the postal costs (and all other additional costs) would be charged to me. Since the crackling sound is not constant, the chance is big that when they test it they may not hear the crackling at that moment and then blame and charge me.

All in all this is not what I would expect of a comapany with this reputation and price tag. Simply put this problem should not even exist. I have a couple of other speakers at home (Bluetooth, wifi) all working perfectly at a fraction of the price. Non of them have ' interferance issues', power Issues etc. A speaker at this price  of the Stanmore should simply not have these problems to start with.

I believe Marshall should take responsibility for this problem and admit it is an issue with their speaker and not due to 'circumstances' at my house. There are enough complaints about this issue online to proof that the fault lies with the speaker.

Marshall please fix the problem and please replace my speaker.
