Hi Folks.....I have a 1987 JCM 25/50 Model 2554.....is it possible to get the owners manual sent to me either to download or by mail?
I would like to know wether is normal or not a "ploc" noise comming from the speaker when switching from clean to drive mode, especially when reverb is on? Note that even if the reverb is about 9hours , the "ploc" noise coming from speaker sounds like if the reverb was on maximum.
Hi, When I registered my amp (a 1987 JCM 800 2205) after I entered the serial number, none othe models offered as options matched what I have. How do we reconcile that?
Top Slant Cab Ser No 35079
Bottom Straight Cab Stock # 1935b, Ser No 26753
Simply, I wish to put some 6550's in my JCM800 2203. Is there any possibilty of achieving this, if so How?
I was watching a demo from NAMM 2016 and it was mentioned that you could add a subwoofer to the code 25. How would this be accomplished? What output Jack would you use? Thanks in advance.
Hello, I was recently shipped a DSL40C and there was no owners manual or warranty card. The amp is brand new, in the original packaging. I am bumbed out, because I like to save these items. I know I can probably download one, but I want the original that is supposed to come with the amp. How do I obtain these items? Tommy Scott, 6625 Van Buren Road, Warners, NY 13164.
PS: Great Amp!
noticed people having interferance issues with the usb connection like me. was just wondering how you guys are comming along with the firmware application for windows and the new firmware?
Hi, everyone! Just a quick question. I have a Marshall DSL40c with a Celestion 70/80 factory installed speaker, rated at 16ohms. It's a little harsh sounding for me, so I wanted to switch to a Celestion Creamback, which I ordered through my local distributor, but instead of a 16ohm speaker, they brought an 8ohm speaker. My amp has 2x8ohm plugs and a 1x16ohm. What would happen if I installed the 8ohm speaker and used one of the 8 ohm outputs? Would this damage the amp? Would affect the tone (I'm looking for something more classic hard rock, which I understand is the Creamback's specialty)? Thanks for your help!
The Code 25 makes a strange sound when letting a plucked guitar string sound die out, only when "amp" is selected (might be digital artifacting?) I saw one question about this via USB, but what I hear is not via USB, just out of the amps own speaker, no USB connected!
My JVM 410C doesnt have any volume coming from the channels.
One switch works green yelow, not red. Works fine with switch two. Switch three works green and yellow, not red.
switch four doesn't work at all.
No sound out of these channels without footswitch. Same results. Now, making a poping noise when turned off. I just got htis amp in June. Played a few weeks and then boom, nothing.
I tried using the FX Loop in back. That's when this whole thing started. As I correctly plugged in as instructions say, it immediately didn't make sound in these channels. Unplugged, guitar going straight in, same stuff. No volume through these channels.
The tubes are red, all glowing.
I need help. Thanks.
Just purchased this amp. I am a little suprised at how hot the metal faceplate on the control panel gets during use. I know tubes generate heat and the DSL40 has the four pre-amp tubes just behing that faceplate. Still, just wondering if this is "normal". This is occurring even in low power mode, at relatively low volumes (set at 2 or below) and the Ultra Gain at about three quarters.
So I got these Marshall Monitor headphones from apple over in boston last august and they were working just fine until two months ago when one of the sides of the headphones when out and would not produce sound, so I put the headphone jack in the other ear and it was fine, but then it happened again with the other ear.
I was just wondering if Marshall can fix this problem or if anyone else has had the same problem with these head phones.
What the stock original preamp tubes of this head?
Has the support team for marshallamps.com gone on summer recess like the politicians perhaps - I've been trying to get an answer to a question on 3 year registration of my amp for about a month now.
Is there any chance someone is going to date the community questions - at present it is getting bigger and bigger but as far as I can tell its not in date order - So far everytime I come to it it seems that I'm re-reading stuff so that I don't miss new stuff.
Any chance the dates could be added to the initial list page, perhaps a sort function as well to allow sorting of question and answers depending on what people might want. At the moment it seems to be very hit and miss and not exactly in line with the amp qualities.
Hello, since this morning, when I turn my amp on, it gives sound for two or three seconds, then stops while the LED becomes ligther and switch off.
Power supply seems to be good beacause it gives about 18 V DC.
My amp was bought in England and I live in France, so I can't bring it back. What can I do ?
Thanks for your answer.
Hey Nick! Everyone at Marshall!
Given that you're on the right settings, will CODE give me that JCM800 CHUNKA - CHUNKA sound, with a palm muted stroke of the Plectrum? I know, I know, it's a (STUPID) Technical question, but you lot get my meaning, right?Cheers! And see you in hell my friends!! \m/ (Nick's The Man!!!!)
