Hi! I'm using the Jmp-1 midi rack-preamplifier and I'm loving it so much, except the fact it takes about half a second to jump from preset to preset, which in a studio situation is no problem, but in a live situation can be annoying sometimes.

Is it just my device having this problem? Any way to fix this?

thanks! Elias

While attempting to install the firmware update utility for my Code50, I continue to receive an error.  Are there any current issues with the the utility?  Perhaps the problem is on my end?  Please advise.  Thank you.

I am curious about how worried I need to be when I play bass through my new Code 100 Combo.  Will I damage the speakers if I get loud?

Hey there!

I just added a JCM 2000 DSL50 to the family and I'm now re-biasing it, as the previous owner set it to something strange like 30mV.

I know, most sources in the www advice to bias it around 45mV, but I found it to sound best with one Tube at 39mV and the other one at 38mV.

When I set it higher the single notes in a chord (talking about the drive channel) tend to become "loose" and seem undefined.

Is there anything that speaks against setting it to 39mV, could it be too low?

I don't want to "miss" anything soundwise and just the fact that so many people advice to turn it up to 45mV makes me uncertain about my own ears.

Thanks!

Hi All,

Im a novice player (of thirty years experience :-/) and looking at putting a song repetoire together for a band. Ive always wanted to play sweet child live and have little experience with amp settings etc. Ive recently purchased my first Marshall (A DSL40) and was wondering if anyone could advise some good settings for playing the sweet child solo's?

Thanks!

After having played privately for 25 years on a Peavey Rage 158 The Code is overwhelming and I'm loving every minute of it. Really enjoying hearing a preset and having my head fill with songs that fit the sound. Its a brilliant idea and please keep refining it and updating it.
Question 1: Has there been an actual firmware update yet? the software said my code is up to date out of the box so I just want to confirm my software is installed properly.

Question 2: I would love to get a fixed date on the foot switch if you have one yet.

Question 3: Is there a master way to get all the preset volumes to the same level or do I have to configure my favourite presets individually in order to get them to the same volume?

Great job to you and the software company.

Hi,

guessing my asking this as a comment on another post got it lost.

can you explain how to use the DI please? Do I disconnect the speaker? Is the output line level? Does the powerstem have any effect?

new to having valves, like the amp but really would like this clarified.

A couple of weeks ago I bought aforementioned amp. I was very happy with it, no issues so far, but today while playing I noticed a weird buzzing sound that my amp makes whenever I play an A note on my guitar. I tried different fret position, plugging in my other guitar and even moving the amp in case something else than the amp itself was making the sound. Nothing helped. Did anyone else had a similar problem? Any ideas what might be causing it?

I was wondering what Marshall foot switch I could use and if it is still available?  If not, do you know of any aftermarker ones on the market?

Thanks

Has there been a new firmware update for the code amp series?  I just got my new code 50 and I'm having multiple issues. Gateway makes duplicates of my presets then sometimes after editing and saving (either using the amp itself or gateway app)  my amp completely freezes. I have no access to the updater and would like to know if there has been any new firmware updates, and if there is which ones solve these issues.

Hi! I recently bought my Marshall DSL 100 HR. There is a silent recording mode. If my understanding is correct when the amp is in a standby mode only preamp section is active. Can I use my amp in standby mode for silent recording at home without a load/cab?

I would monitor it via my soundcard. Just to be clear I would not activate the 100/50 power amp section only stay in STB mode.

Could this cause any harm to the amp?

Thanks.

Bluetooth issues with the latest firmware and Code amps are well known (v1.41).  These issues did not exist with the previous firmware.  I'm sure many would simply like to revert, but Marshall has been telling us they have been working on fixing this since October of last year.  Alluding to new firmware coming for quite some time now...

My questions are simple.  Can you give any sort of an actual ETA for the next firmware revision for the Code amps (Code 25 in my case)?  If no firmware revision is soon forthcoming, will you offer us the option to revert to the previous firmware until an actual fix/update is ready?

Not asking if you are still working on things here, or if you may consider a revert option.  Asking if there is anything solid to give us here in hopes the issues firmware v1.41 has caused will soon be resolved (or not if that should be the case). It's been long enough I think, please just let us know.

Thanks.

Hello,

I've just got this amp. What kind of cable do I have to use to connect this port to a mixing console or audio interface ? mono?

Using headphones there is a little noise, is it so normal?

Best regards!

Hello, Marshall forum family.  I just purchased the CODE 100H (head only).  I have a Marshall cabinet with 4x12 MG series, and I hate the sound of this combination! Does anyone have advice for a replacement speaker?

Thank You All
