Dear team, when I plug my headphones in the emulated out f my DSL5 CR I get a constant background noise/hum and the sound appear somehow distant. I use a Marshall Monitor headphone that work perefctly on other devices. Is there a way to fix this? Is this a nrmal feature?
Thanks for your kind help
I just did the latest firmware update on my Marshall Code 50. My headphones suddenly do not work when I plugged them into the jack. They worked prior to the update. I tested them on another amp and they worked fine. Has this been a firmware problem? Any possible solutions? Thanks.
Hi there
I'm planning to add an extension cabinet, most likely the JVMC212 2x12 to my JVM210C combo.
Currently the speakers of the combo are plugged in the 1x16 Ohm jack and the ipedance of the JVMC212 2x12 cabinet is 16 Ohm. How should I connect the cabinet to the combo? I can see a 2x16 ohm jack, should I use this one for the combo speakers along with the 1x8 Ohm for the extension cabinet?
Please advise
Thanks
Regards
David
Hi.
I've got a line6 spidervalve 212 that the DSP board went bad on, but the power amp is still good.
Any issues with connecting the line out of the Valvestate 8080 to the power amp in of the tube amp?
I can't seem to find any issues, but would love input on this.
Cheers,
Steve
I've got a beautiful JMP 2203 top from 1979, and I'm now waiting for my brand new 1960AHW cabinet to arrive. The problem is that the cab is 16 ohms, and it's only possible to select 4 or 8 ohms output on the switch on the back of my amp. The switch actually have 5 possible positions, but only 4 and 8 ohms are printed on the switch. It also has got a seperate label on the back that specifies 4 or 8 ohms.
I read somewhere that the Canadian amps didn't have 16 ohm output because of some Canadian rules, but my amp is originally sold in Scandinavia (Sweden), as one can see on the label on the back of the amp. Is there a "hidden" 16 ohm posibillity when I set the switch to the position after 8 ohm? Will I have to rewire my new cab to 4 ohms before I can use it? Any help will be much apreciated...
Hello!
I have a Marshall CODE50 combo, and when i connect it to my iPad via cable, the input and the output works well in applications developed by Apple (like Garage Band), but I can't control of my amplifier settings in Marshall Gateway app. Is there any way to control the combo on the iPad through the cable?
Thank you in advance for your reply.
I would like to have some spare fuses for my studio amps -- I have the mini jubilee, studio classic, studio vintage and jtm studio. Can you provide the specs here so I can purchase.
thanks!

I got a M TSL 100W top with a bunch of Boss-pedals in a floor stomp board, including a stereo chorus and stereo delay (and the 5-way footswitch next to them). It would be nice if I could use the stereopedals in their fully potential, not in mono as I do today.
I got the money to buy another TSL and create a stereoset up, but will it work as I hope?
My thoughts/questions:
1. Do I need to have two (2) 5-way foot-switches (one each for each amp) to control both amps channels (I have looked at Voodoo labs-products but Iḿ notsure they would simplify this problem)
2. Today I have the stomp-pedals in a loop. Would this be possible also in the stereo situation?
Thanks in advance for any answer.
Hi, after a few long hours of use, turned on my DSL40CR and the sound faded away and now has a faint sound even cranked. Plugged in the the effects loop return and sounds fine so the issue is in the pream section. It's not q tube as o installed a fresh set to check and still the same issue. Any ideas what could have happened?
There used to be a choice on the my.marshall.com presets page called "Mygateway". I want to view my Code 50 presets from my amp on my computer's screen. I no longer see this choice. (Don't want to use the phone app)
Thanks,
RF
The first time I turned on the amp and plugged in, there was a very loud screeching noise from the amp. I had to turn it off immediately. Any idea why that haappened?
Hi !
i was wondering, is it possible to use MIDI via a bluetooth connection ?
In fact i'd like to use a simple DAW application on my Android tablet to make some music using my Marshall Code. My Code amp connect to my tablet and the Gateway app runs nice, no problem. In the DAW app (which is for now BandLab), i see an option about a "Connected MIDI Devices" and my Code doesnt appear there. So i asked myself if the MIDI interface was really available with Bluetooth ? Or is there something special to configure or install ?
thanks in advance !

I can connect to audacity with no problems. However I bought a professional version of Presonus Studio One. Been trying for days to get it to work. I have seen that others are having the same issue. It doesn't look like anyone has even made an attempt to answer. I would think you would want to have your amp heard on proffesional recordings. Or at least help those that bought your amp.
The connection is usb cable from amp to PC. This is the error we recieve.
Hello-
I used to have no problem connecting my Code 50 with my Mac via USB. All of a sudden neither my computer or DAW will recognize it. I switched out the usb cable, did a factory reset of my amp, tried to update the software, but I can't get the mac to recognize the amp for the life of me. Is there a more extensive reboot I don't know about? Very curious as it used to work just fine and I can't think of anything I did to jeopardize it. Thank you.
A hardware issue prevents connecting my CODE25 practice amp with Gateway via Bluetooth on my PC (Nox / Windows 10). Gateway freezes at 'Turning on Bluetooth' message (the Bluetooth hardware in my PC is faulty). Can Gateway be set to connect via USB instead as a device-level default? My CODE25 amp does connect to Gateway via Bluetooth on my Android smartphone; but the phone's screen is too small to use comfortably, so USB connection to PC is needed for its much larger (I have 26" to 46" PC displays available) displays. Being severely nearsighted and over 50 years old, my options are limited.
i wasn thinking about buying a marshall code 100 but im not sure if its useable with the marshall code amp app.
Hi,
I just bought a Origin 50H head as a spare for my DSL 100hr while it is in the shop. The problem I'm having is I can only plug one speaker cab at a time, one is a 16 ohm cab with 4 12's, the other is a 8 ohm with 2 12 inch V30's. when they are both pluged in only the 8ohm 2 12's work, if I unplug the 2 12 cab then the 4 12's work. Is this normal or should I return it?
Thanks for your time.
I have an inbound JTM studio and I wanted to get a few extra pairs of 5881 tubes to have on hand. What tube types are acceptable for this amp besides the 5881's? For example can I use KT66's?
thanks,

Hi Marshall,
I just purchased the DSL20HR and 1912 lead cabinet, which is great. However, there are late nights that I want to play through my headphones.
I read the manual and I read the previous questions on here about headphone use. There's conflicting instructions and support advice between the manual and what I have read here.
Can you please clarify step by step how to safely plug a set of headphones into the emulated output jack of the DSL20HR? The manual says to "NEVER use the DSL20HR...without a speaker load", however, advice here from the Marshall team had stated to unplug the cabinet from the amp, plug in the headphones, and then not to forget to plug the speaker back in when done using the headphones. This is conflicting and I am afraid to try either.
Please help. Thanks
Adam
Hi,
Is it acceptable/safe to connect the headphone/ line out socket of the Code 25 to a power amp input jack of another guitar amplifier, In my case, a peavey bandit 75, using a screened guitar lead. The peavey has a 1x12" 8 ohm speaker. I find the Peavey 12" speaker is alot warmer and fuller than the Code's 1x10" hence the question.
Thanks for any advice.
