just received my code 25 today in the mail, sounds great. except when I turn it on or connect to BT. when i do either, it makes a horribly loud screech sound that last about a half second. tried resinstalling fw, disconnecting all cables, still the same. can this be fixed or do i need to return it?

Here's a video of the loveliness: https://youtu.be/MW6hgIA0VCI

Thanks! Chris

Hi,

Wanting a bit of guidance... still within my first 24hours of ownership. I have the Gateway app, can play music and change pre-configured presets. But when I log into the Marshall site and try to download presets, I click (what looks like the doorway symbol) to download and end up with an 'X' on that symbol. It also says at the bottom of the page that I'm not connected... despite what my phone's settings (Galaxy S9, using Chrome browser) says. Really want to load up some of those presets that some people have put a lot of time into.

Thanks

Peter

Hi Marshall,
I am havin issues connecting my CODE 50 with my iPhone via Marshall Gatway app. Bluetooth connection is working and is connected with iPhone, but when I open app, app finds the CODE 50 amp and then it says "Connecting..." and nothing is going on. If I tap on my amp under Amps Detected, gives me this message:
"Connection Rejected - You may only control amps you are already connected to for audio output".  Please help.

Guitar and lead both work fine however my Marshall DSL40 (purchased Dec 2018) has stopped working, all lights work however there is no sound. High power output also makes strange popping/crackling noises when idle, also as of 2 weeks ago the amp would randomly but rarely make a clicking noise when in standby, this stopped a week later but  I had previously never ever heard this noise before. The standby also emits a quiet hum.

Having this issue with Code 50 just updated the latest firmware 1.44v

The amp will hangs or store by itself and nothing works after operating for sometime.

Pressing the footswtich or amp buttons nothing works. Have to do a power reset on it.

Any idea what happen to this?

Hello !

I have a Code 50 and I use the Gateway to play, but it does'nt stay connected. For half an hour of playing,  I have to reconnect 4-5 times. Do you know why ?

(The Code is the only Bluetooth connection in my phone).

Thank you !

Hi,

I was wondering if I could plug in a two notes torpedo cab m into the 8 ohm speaker out jack of my Marshall Origin 20c without plugging it into the speaker as well?  Would I need to put a dummy plug into the DI out to activate the built in load dummy load? Would the dummy load work without the dummy plug in the DI out? Can I even use the 8 ohm speaker out jack without a load on whatever I have plugged into it even with the DI out plugged into something?  The two notes cab m does not have a dummy load built in and on normal amps would have to be plugged back into a speaker or a load box for the load and sound would still come out of the speaker.I'm wanting to use the two notes cab m so I can tweek cab imulations, record and use headphones all while still using my amp without disturbing anyone. I know I could just use the DI out, but I've read it alresady has cob imulation on it and I would like to tweek my own.

Hello,

I am a recent ower of a Marshall Origin 20, which I got in July. I've really enjoyed the amp until I plugged in last night and got out absolutely no sound out of it. I couldn't figure out why, as nothing as happened to it and it worked fine two days ago. I took it apart to do some trouble shooting and found that when I have all the knobs max'd and output on 20 watts, I can hear a whisper of my guitar signal (nicely saturated, presumably by the preamp tubes) through the speaker. This sound is affected by all of the knobs. However, if I plug my guitar directly into the return of the effects loop, and activate the effects loop I get no sound whatsoever; no guitar, no hum, nothing. Because of this, I'm sure my speaker is not the problem. These things led me to think it was a power amp section issue, so I went down and purchased a new set of matched EL34's, threw them in there, and nothing changed. I'd really like to know if there's anything I can do to fix this, because this amp is not even a year old and I should not be having these kinds of problems with completely normal bedroom use.

Thanks,

Alex

I am looking for a more low ended sound than the provided 12 inch speaker cone and would like to try a 15 inch speaker cone. is it possible to do this with minimal or no modifications to the build of the amp?

I'm attempting to discover a channel exchanging pedal for my DSL 100h. The Marshall site says it utilizes the PEDL-90012 which is out of creation. Can I simply utilize something like the MRPEDL91003 or do I have to get the first footswitch? tellthebell

I have a DSL 100h that has been fading in and out and crackling for quite some time. It seems to only happen on the clean channel and makes no difference, if I have my pedal board plugged in or not. I have the fx loop turned off, so I believe that that part of the circuit is out of the equation. I just swapped out the tubes because I suspected the pre amp tubes were bad from some other things I read and still no luck. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi all. I have a Code 25 which sounds great through headphones using the cab emulation. Without headphones I'm struggling to find a cab that doesn't sound really boxy. If I switch the cab off, it becomes a fuzzy mess and is unusable. Am I missing something or is that just how it is?

Thanks in advance!

I know the origin 20 head has a dummy load for use without a cab and send to a daw through the di out. question is. Can I use the di out or fx send to a slave amp? Not a PA system but a 60 watt tube amp combo.

Hi,

My Code 100 amp just dies off in the middle and comes back all of a sudden the volume just fades off for a while and it comes back at will. Even turning off the amp and on does not solve the issue but somehow after a while it becomes normal again. It seems to be some sort of a volume issue... When I crank the master volume knob to full , I hear faint sounds of my guitar. It comes back after a while automatically but then stops again at random.
