Why does my code 50 amp cut out? Also, has loud crackeling sound when it's working. Sounds like a blown speaker but it's not. The master volume is only turned up 1/4 of the way and it's loud. Problems still remains even at lower volume. slight delay on the footswitch also when changing from one preset to another. Frustrated in Detroit.

Hello!

I’ve just bought a Code 25 with footswitch and have just started to look at the presets.  As far as I can see each amp sound corresponds to a number - for example Bluesbreaker Reverb is assigned to #44. Is there a way or re-assigning this e.g. to #1 ? I’d like to be able access some of the presets easily rather than having to scroll through all of the numbers.

Apologies if this has  already been asked on the forum

Many thanks

Robin

Yesterday, I went to my local guitar shop and purchased a Code 100 2x12 Combo and it came with a two-way footswitch. I assumed it would work with it considering I knew it came with a footswitch. However, the footswitch doesnt do much. The effects side does nothing to my amp and when I press the Normal / OD side twice, it will change my amp preset in reverse. For example, if I'm using my JCM 800 tone and I press the Normal / OD button twice, it will go to preset 99. Did they give me the wrong footswitch? Was I supposed to receive the Code programmable footswitch instead and the retail clerk didn't know what he was doing? Or is there a way to program the two way footswitch so it actually can be used effectively rather than a paperweight with a long cable on it? Please let me know as this has been frustrating for me. I play live shows and have shows coming up and can't afford to not have a footswitch.

my code worked ok with my galaxy 5 but i got a new moto z running android 7.1.1 and it will connect to bluetooth but will not  connect in gateway. when i push scan for amps it never finds the code amp and yes i pushed the bluetooth buttons on the amp.  in the gateway app the in the bottom left corner the amp/phone icon is missing for switching from amp to phone presets. the screen has the blue preset shown but the library has them in yellow.  the worst part is that the display on the code amp is not working. it is barely readable. just yellow with the black barely visable. so without being able to program it using the display it doesn't work with my phone either.  i have owned a lot of marshalls and still have a bunch but i have never been so dissapointed as i am with this piece of crapp. can't use it live because of the dropouts when switching channels and yea i know about using the same amps and settings in all the presets but that is unaceptable. i have the footswitch and thats a disaster too. one little slip like accidently pushing two buttons at the same time or too fast or twice freezes the amp or reprograms it. yea really cool turning it off and back on in the middle of a song.  i tried using it live once and it was a disaster. never again. so i love the tone for recording but now i can't even do that because it wont connect bluetooth and the display is almost dead so i can't program it.

I need to replace the footswitch, preferably with a heavy duty one. Do you have a soft copy of the owners manual and parts list that I can use? Or maybe direct me to where I can find one that matches the original.

This is one of my fav all time pedals that has always been part of my rig, and dont want to lose it.

thanks for your help!!

Hi.

I note that my previous post in this regard has dissapeared "as if by magic".  So I ask again:

What is happening with the Marshall CODE100 i.e. when will it be released???

What is happening with the PEDL-91010 footswitch (for both the CODE100 and the other CODE amps.)???

I'm sorry but I have to express the below:

Support, or lack thereof, when it comes to the CODE amps. is concerning to say the least.  I have no less than 4 x CODE amps. and not to mention the various other Marshall amps. I've had over the years from time to time.  I think I (we) deserve answers when questions are asked.  I (we) certainly don't need posts deleted when Marshall is "put on the spot" as it were.

Regards,

Dale.

I have a much loved VS100 100w combo which has served me well for the last 20 years or so but has been missing a foot switch for a long time.  Just picked one up this week (PEDL900-10) which looks like my old one but does nothing.  Before I complain about a faulty foot switch can anyone confirm if this is compatible with my amp??

Thanks:)

Hey guys,

So I just bought a new MG102CFX, love this thing! I also bought the 4-button Marshall stomp footswitch, and everything is working perfectly. My question is, I'm new to using pedals. So far I only have a Boss MT-2 distortion pedal. I don't want to damage any circuitry. If I'm only using one pedal, and not a daisy chain board setup with multiple pedals, do I bypass the Send/Return jacks, and simply plug my guitar into the Boss input, and the then the Boss output into to the MG102CFX front input jack? In otherwords, is the Send/Return jacks only for two or more pedals? I read all the manuals but this questions wasn't addressed.

thanks guys!

Got a Code 50 and footswitch. Still learning it, but happy so far.

I'd like to use the footswitch, in part, to jack up the volume for solos, but keeping the preset and effects the same. What's the best way to set that up?

Hi all.

I just bought a used JVM410H, but it didn't come with a footswitch. I do have access to a footswitch from a JVM410HJS (PEDL00055), but for whatever reason it doesn't like the JVM410H...even though AFAIK it should.

Can anybody suggest a solution, please?

Cheers!

Hi.

I am using a CODE 50 and i am happy.

My experience is very good, of course this is not a HIGH END amp neither the real ones that CODE emulated, but for the price its an amazing amp, and for what i need, playing at HOME at lower volumes with quality and flexibility. Its a very nice solution to have in a very easy and cheap way some historical Marshall amps tones, and again this is not the REAL AMPS of course, but the quality and the price are very very GOOD.

I am using tradicional pedals running in front of the amp, due the absence of effects loops i am even running delay in front. The only effect that i am using from the CODE is the reverb.

Now comes one of the best thinks for me, i am using Marshall Footswitch, and i create 6 banks of presets for my taste :-) please see the photo. With this i can have imediatly  diferent amps with the presets that i made, i event put some hang tags identifiyng the names of the presets.

To record i use 2 SM57, and my main guitar is fender 60 anniversary commemorative stratocaster.

I have sereval other amps, all valves, but again to play in home, record, jam, and so on, this setup is one of the best that i done.

Keep rock in a free world !!

Cheers.

Miguel

Hello.

I have 2 x Marshall CODE50's and a Marshall CODE25.  I also have 1 x Marshall Footswitch (PEDL-91009).  I run the 2 x Marshall CODE50's together (signal from guitar simply being split using a stereo delay pedal).  Any ideas how I could control both of the CODE50's with 1 footswitch (just to scroll / change presets up / down on both amps at the same time without having to use two seperate footswitches as this is not practical live)???

Regards,

Dale.
