for an amp company that makes amazing amps that sound even more amzing with a cranked out fuzz in front of them, im suprised to find that the marshall code (i have a 50) does NOT have any type of fuzz!! this may be there are hundreds of different fuzzes and each one has a different sound, but they could at least have a generic fuzz, like a big muff clone, or mxr blue box. so marshall, PLEASE add a fuzz, an octave fuzz, and for us jack white fans, a microamp boosted fuzz!! or any code users have any presets for these effects??

Will a Marshall PEDL90008 4-way footswitch be suitable to use with my MG100HDFX head, the manual only mentions using a 2-way footswitch, but other sources say otherwise?

Hello, yeah just checking in to see if firmware updates are working for some cause I have had no luck at all with Win 10, or in Chrome. Downloaded update firmware and it just keeps sayin connect your amp with usb and I do? But nothing happens. I have the 25 and the 50 since they came out and it is April 2nd 2017... Just curious what is up and am I missing anything with these firmware updates?

Alrighty Thanks Tony K.

Hi - my first post - hoping someone can help me.

I have a 1998 DSL100 along with a 1960A and a 1936 cabinet.  Typically I use one cab or the other, but I'd like to try using both cabs, but am not sure about matching the impedance.

The DSL head has the 3 outputs - 1 dedicated to 16 ohm and 2 that can do either 4 or 8 ohms along with the 4/8 switch.

The 1960A cab can do either 4 or 16 ohms in mono, or 8 ohms in stereo.

The 1936 cab can do either 8 ohms in mono or 16 ohms in stereo.

It doesn't look to me like I can use both cabs at the same time, but maybe I'm not completely understanding it.  Is there a way to hook up both cabs to head??

The right hand input on the 1960A says it's 16 ohm mono or 8 stereo, whereas the 1936 is the opposite and is 8 ohm mono and 16 ohm stereo.  Can I go from the 4/8 outputs on the head to the right hand input on both cabs - will this work without causing damage??  If I  can, do I set the DSL head to 4 or 8 ohms, and should the switch on the 1960A be mono or stereo?

Thanks - I appreciate your brain power lol!!

I have a code 100 combo and there is an output on the back just like the code 100h. Is it possible to plug the code 100 combo into a speaker cabinet and just use it like the code 100h?

Hello, I am finding that when I activate the "link to channel 1" button for channel 2 (by depressing it), that the input from channel 2 seems to be cut out altogether. I.e. if I mute channel 1 whilst passing a guitar into channel 2, then there is no sound.

My initial thoughts as to what the "link to channel 1" button would do was that it would use the same level and EQ settings provided by channel 1. This does not appear to be the case however. Or perhaps I am misunderstanding the feature this provides? E.g. perhaps by depressing the button, the signal from channel 2's input is joined with the signal of channel 1? (that would explain why channel 2 appears to be muted when the "link to channel 1" button is activated/depressed.

Thank you! Gareth

So, for the first time, I wanted to download a preset or “patch” off of the my.marshall site from another fellow Marshall lover. I clicked on the preset link from YOUTUBE, which took me to the Marshall user on MY MARSHALL. I utilized my iPhone so the default browser is SAFARI of course. I read that My.Marshall does not work with SAFARI so I downloaded CHROME to my iPhone which is version 71.0. When I went back to My. Marshall to save the preset to my Library I STILL got the MIDI IS NOT AVAILABLE notice on the bottom of my screen.  I powered down my phone to restart thinking maybe I had to allow the Newly downloaded CHROME to “re-set” but still same thing MIDI IS NOT AVAILABLE.  PLEASE ADVISE as this is SO FRUSTRATING!!!!! Thank you in advance....

I have a DSL40C and bought a used 90012 model footswitch. Turns out that switch is meant for the newer DSL40CR. It is tip and ring with two sleeves for the two buttons, but the channel button does nothing. When plugged in the channel button on the amp no longer works, yet the footswitch button does not change the channel either.

If you pull the footswitch half way out it causes a channel change.

So the question is, does the amp have an issue or is this footswitch just not compatible? It's a two button, tip and ring with two sleeves so in my mind it should work...

Some internet sloothing leads me to a model P802 footswitch that was the one for the DSL40C amp but it seems like the same switch to me...

Hi there, guys

I’m new to the forum and new to valve amps. In fact, I’ve just purchased my first valve amp: a brand new JCM 800 2203 reissue.

Running through a 1960av and a Rivera Rock Crusher attenuator and it sounds awesome - except for these damn so called ghost notes (just learned about them) that only happen when I set the master volume at higher values (above 6.5 or 7). It also only seems audible in higher pitches around the 12 fret.

Reading a lot about filter caps and stuff. But it’s a brand new amp and I still have warranty. So that’s not the case for trying to fix it myself.

My question is: should I assume it’s “normal” and keep my amp? If that’s the case, how can I crank it (and get that  beautiful power section overdrive) and minimize those annoying ghost notes? Is electric grounding improvement / adding a power filter of any good?

Or you guys think I should go to Marshall assistance and ask for a replacement?

Thank you very much,

Any help appreciated,

So I've got a new Emberton speaker, but it won't pair with my Android phone (OnePlus 7 Pro). Bluetooth light is blinking and "EMBERTON" appears in the bluetooth device list, but all pairing attempts only result in "Can't communicate with EMBERTON". What can be done here?

Hello,

I just joined the forum so please excuse any incorrect behavior. I have a new dsl 40c with maybe 4 hours under its belt and all of a sudden with no warning it quit working. No sound whatsoever. The power light comes on and the tubes all appear to be glowing. It's still under warranty but I'm really questioning this purchase. After going online and visiting a few groups it seems like this is a fairly common issue. I guess what I'm looking for is a few people to comfort me in my time of need! Comments ate certainly welcome. Thanks so much!

Hello, I need advice. How and where do I register Amplifier Code 100?  You can register footswitch PEDL 91009, PEDL-10025 GV-2 Guv'nor plus, PEDL-10026 BB2 Bluesbreaker, Headphones MONITOR ?  I live in the Czech Republic, where I bought the goods in e-shop muziker.cz.

Amplifier in combination with PEDL 91009 is really supreme . I have a month and I play all the time, much better than FENDER.

For my use bad Windows software. I'm using CODE Patch Editor, there's a lot of options and there's nothing extra. Is there any other code software? Where I can edit and create new presets, play Backing Tracks. Similar Fender FUSE. I would like to buy it :-)

Thank you in advance for your answer.

Regards, Michal :-)

i contacted you earlier about a problem I've having with my code 25, the hissing coming from a plucked string is really bad when letting a string ring out. You replied by saying an update was coming but did not say if this would fix the issue. So can you let me know if this will sort it and when can we except the update. The issue I'm having is worse on some amp preset than others the plexi is bad and the only way to make it a little better is to turn down the gain which I don't won't to do.

Just to confirm this issue is when a string has been plucked and ringing out not just when the amp is sitting idle, I understand that high gain setting will give off so humming or hissing.

Regards.

Hello. I find out what the body of the combo is cracking and not the speaker itself at a volume of 20% or more. This defect is even on the clean guitar sound (All presets and FX off). However, the sound from the headphone output is great and without any defects. It feels like a badly-assembled hull combo. What to do with this? Have you encountered such problems?
