Hi!
I have had this Super Lead for 18 years or something and haven´t given the age much thought but the other day it just hit me that this has to be a Plexi and therefore it would be nice to maybe get to know what year it's made.
Serial no. SL/ 10780
For the past few weeks I've been hearing a scratchy sound playing with the background music during certain TV broadcasts (mostly discovery-like channels). It's almost an eery scratchy gieger counter like sound. It's fitting for the programs I'm watching (Strange Evidence, What in the World, Monsters Inside me), so I'm not sure if there is something wrong with my speakers, or if that's the intended sound.
Is there something I can play to test the sound output to know if it's my speakers crackling or not?
To all,
I notice latest firmware update v 1.44 july 2019, improves master volume control, it doesnt spike like it used to, can someone confirm this, what other changes are there ?besides bluetooth improvement also
Hi,
Marshall user since early time, I work also in electronics repairs.
A customer brought me a faulty code 50 power amp. Is there any way to get a new power supply from spare parts to replace it ? I thought replace the original PS with a standard one but the original one gives 2 power supplies: main power an bluetooth power.
In the worst case where we cannot find spare parts, it is possible to get schematics or at least the values of the voltages ?
It will be cool to bring back to life this amazing stuff from a ledgendary brand
Thanks in advance
Hello,
I've had my code 25 for about a year and a half. After about 6 months sound from my amp speaker would stop after a few seconds after turning on the amp, however if I plug in the headphones it works fine through them, then if I pull out the headphones the speaker will sometimes work for a short while before stopping again.
After a few weeks of the sound not working, it will then start working fine for week or 2, before the sound stops again through the speaker.
It is not the cables or the guitar as I've tried multiple on the same amp and they all work fine on my old amp, so I imagine it is a problem with the speaker/headphone socket?
Is there a simple fix for this or will it need to be returned under warranty?
I try all suggestions in FAQ Support until "Last resort" But ..... nothing, I can't see the CONNECTED red button.
So the gig me and my band are about to play is getting closer and closer. 10 more days and I'll be on a stage again after 7 years. Seven years of playing by myself in my bedroom.
I got to the point where my approach would be to set my amp to a crunchy sound ala AC/DC, then kick on my SD-1 with the volume pushed and the gain turned up just a wee bit to tighten the low end and saturate a bit more. Use an EQ pedal in the loop to boost the volume for solos.
Now last rehearsal I turned up with only my guitar and my EQ pedal for the volume bump for solos. I couldn't be bothered to carry my heavy ass all analogue pedalboard with me and wanted to see how things would go. My JCM 2K DSL 100 was at the rehearsal space waiting.
Without my SD-1 I had to turn up the gain on the amp quite a bit more and change the EQ as well, cut more bass, kick in more mids and I was obviously missing some saturation.
So whilst it was harder to play and I lacked the distortion I also noticed that the guitar sounded way better and I cut through the mix easily. My other guitar player uses an ENGL Powerball MK2 through an oversized ENGL cab with V30s without any pedals, I have my DSL through a Marshall cab with G12-75s (cab belongs to another guitar player sharing the rehearsal room with us)
Now the obvious problem here is that I am competing with a V30 loaded cab whilst using the mid scooped G12T-75 Celestions, but if you ignore that for a minute my observation is the following:
Without a boost pedal my guitar sounds bigger and fits into the mix better. I have to be more accurate with my technique and my playing has to be tighter. More volume means less need for saturation and compression that a boost pedal usually provides yet it asks for a tighter picking hand.
I guess what I am trying to say or rather ask: Have you had the same experience? A boost pedal is brilliant when playing by yourself to get an amazing guitar sound, once the whole band is involved the pedal only buries you in the mix? xbxx xnxxxnxx
I think I finally understand how desirable it is to have an amp that does not need any additional help from an OD pedal. My DSL can sound as heavy as a Mesa Rectumfrier, but only when pushed by a TS-9 or SD-1. With the band it sounds better when no pedals are involved. pornhub
I came to the conclusion that I need to toss the gadgets and work on my technique more. Only use the boost pedal for solos and get to the point where my right hand will sqeeze a tight low end even out of a JTM 45. porn hun
Or I'll just bring my V30 loaded cab to the gig, kick on my SD-1 for my rhythms too and see how that goes biqle youporn pornhub
What are your observations folks? Do tell, cheers! live-sex
I accidentally plugged my footswitch into input for guitar. What could've happened to the FS? It seems like it doesn't work. Thanks

hello, been trying to get a good steely dan 'reelin in the years' tone. Anybody else fancy giving it a shot Or give any tips on getting it. Thanks.
Hi, I’m in New York and I wanted to buy a Marshall DSL 20C, but ANY store keeps one new, so I wanted to know if you recommend me to buy a code 50, a origin 20, a dsl40c or any other?
I wound up settling for a Code 50 because I searched the internet and several music shops, both in person and online, the only place I found the Code 100 was a shop in the UK. The Code 50 is great but I would have liked to have the Code 100.
After installing the latest Firmware update my Marhsall code 100 will not respond. The screen on the amp says USB not connected and I cannot do anything. I have tried a factory reset but that not working either. Help.
Hello,
My footswitch stopped responding under the following scenario.
Marshall Code 50
Four button footswitch
Macbook pro connected via USB
Sound output set to Marshall Code
Playing Youtube videos through the amp and playing along
After a while, the footswitch stopped responding. I couldn't change banks or position within a bank.
Unplugging the USB cable seemed to get things going but footswitch stopped responding again shortly after.
Turning the amp off an on again resolved the issue.
when I bought the amp, some of the pots were scratchy as hell. I cleaned them all with contact cleaner and replaced the od channel gain pot. When I use any sort of gain, or even an od pedal through the clean channel, there is a slight crackling noise in the ‘background’. Lets say I strum a chord using gain, as the notes are dying out I can hear, what can only be describes as a crackle, almost like a crackle on a radio station that isn’t quite tuned in.. The less gain I use, the worse it is.
any help appreciated!
I would like to use my fractal Fx8 as a channel switcher but first I must know if the amp uses "short to sleeve" switching. Could someone give me a definitive answer to what kind of channel switching the Mg50fx uses? I wouldn't want to risk the potential damage to either pieces of gear. Thanks in advance.
