Hello Marshall Team,

i figured out following:

If code25 is in pairing mode (pressing REV/POWER),  you can see that code25 sends a device name ( something like "CODE V02004FA6E") within BT message to phone and phone asks for pairing, all works ok.

after switching power off and on again on code25, code25 sends again BT message but without device name, I guess the phone can't compare the device and thats why the paired connection can't be re-established from phone.

I checked this with BluetoothView v1.66 from NirSoft with win10.

best regards,

Peter

Is there any design modification being considered that would have a POWER LEVEL control added to any of the CODE amplifiers?

I am finding it difficult to get the level I want to suit different situations, such as studio, personal practice, session practice, etc., because of the sensitivity of the controls when using the amp at lower volumes.

My VOX has a power level control. It is very useful and allows me to use the other controls at the way I want to generate the tones and guitar response without overall volume issues.

Any comments...?

I'd really like the ability to roll back firmware updates.  The tone of this amp has got worse with each firmware update I've installed.  I wish I would have left it at the default when I got it.

The first firmware update I installed ruined the DSL, and 50's British amps, and now this last update has ruined everything else.  All the presets I created sound completely different now.  What a waste!

I'm really beginning to regret buying a digital amp.

I recently bought the code 50 pedal and noticed that if I have the amp volume set to say 3 and then I hit one of the pedals to change to a different sound the volume changes...I need to figure this out quick as I have a gig coming up and this will obviously be a problem..thanks

Having trouble with the high noise floor of the Code series, and fizzy digital artifacts bubbling away in the background ?

Start with any of the 'Clean' preamps, and follow this article to the letter. It helps.

The whole process of downloading a preset, and allocating it to the amp (and saving it) and saving them to My gateway needs a complete re-work. The user interface is really bad, the methodology is not clearly explained and is next to impossible to do if you use a small android device with a small screen.

The library takes up too much screen space, there needs to be a condensed view without the useless pictures so users can manage thier library in a list mode (ideal for smaller devices). The library and my gateway needs to be side by side to drag and drop easier.

The UI on the app and website are really poor designs and could easily be improved with minimal effort. The designer only needs to actually use them to see how terrible the design is currently. Good amp being ruined by terrible UI (website and app).

The app needs to be able to store a preset library so I can keep 1000s of presets with me and download various banks of 99 anytime I need them. Having them on the website introduces a needless step.

My question is, any chance Marshall can sort this out before I go insane (its all a simple software fix away)?

Hey,

Just got a Marshall Stanmore, and when listening to calmer songs, I can hear a significant amount of distortion. Like a fuzzy overdrive.
Overall, the speaker sounds great, especially on higher volume, but I still can't get over the annoying distortion. Really low-key piano songs are virtually unbearable to listen to.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Will you ever fix your pathetic Bluetooth conncetivity issues? I have Galaxy 7, but I see it's no diferent n any other platform; your Bluetooth connectivity is downright pthetic; if anyone even manages to connect somehow, the connection drops frequently.  And that's in 2017 when teapots have stable Bluetooth connectivity - are you in Marshall really THAT backward, technologically illiterate, and incompetent?

Dear Marshall Team,

I have just recently got my code and thanks for this really nice amp. I got world class sounds for this low price and again.. thanks.

Gateway really makes me much happier and  I plan to bring it up to stage for small ocassion, without footswitch (not available in my country), with the help of gateway and no need to bring those heavy gears. But I realize that I can not switch from one to another setup in a short time while playing.

So in getaway, I would suggest to add one tab showing 4 buttons which is, in individual mode, bassically on off switch for prefx, mod, delay, and power. And other 2 buttons for bank up and bank down.

So, if we have 100 preset then it can be grouped and stored into 25banks with four variation that can be selected from those 4 buttons.

Just like the layout of multi effect processor.

Emm... need a switch to select individual or bank mode... and square bright yellow and red lamps for each button.

Emm... and display to show the active bank and sub bank... like 24.2 (bank no.24 patch no.2).

Sorry if it sounds like asking too much.

Did I?

Cheers,

Javen

I was wondering if the Code amps were at all compatible with regular pedals and not just the Code footswitch. If anyboy has experience on this, please help or give me some advice.

Thank you.

I'm curious to hear about anybody experimenting with removing the back on their Code to see what it sounds like.

I'm not a big fan of the closed back sound, especially on small combos.  I've noticed my Code vibrates like crazy even on low volumes and I swear I can feel air puffing out of the headphone and/or pedal jacks.  The speaker seems stifled closed inside that little box like it can't move or "breath".  I'm wondering if that is causing the boomy vibrating noises this amp likes to make.

I did find one forum where someone mentioned taking the back off their 50 and they were amazed at how much it opened up the sound and it removed some of the feedback these amps seem prone to.  I'm a little worried about voiding the warranty on the amp, but am real curious about what it would sound like if I made a 1/3 back like a standard combo or something along those lines.

When will there be a firmwear upgrade to correct the bluetooth connection problems ? I have followed all the instructions on the forum and still only occasionaly manage to get a connection before it disconnects or freezes at rehearsals which is very frustrating to say the least.

Using an Iphone 6s and the latest firmwear version with Code 25

Come on Marshall this is becoming a big issue

As pointed out in these blogs the Code series locks up during editing and doesn't have an app for Mac users. These issues go back to al least June of this year. When is Marshall going address these issuse other than saying "a solution is coming soon?" I recently purchased a Code 50 but I am not going to hold on to it if Marshall is not going to support it.

I own my Marshall Code 50 for one week now and are pretty happy with it. Still exploring the endless possibilities.

Also downloaded the gateway app. Happy with the  new feature to select the location for the edited patch. You should be able to do that on the amp but I did not manage to do it...

What I miss in the app:

1. Create a favourite list.

2. Save edited presets in a user library so you can upload them from there to the amp.

Hopefully the pedal will be available soon. For gigging this is a must have.

Greetings and keep up the good work!

I am experiencing terrible interference when trying to use my Code 50  via Bluetooth / Gateway (Apple) App while recording on my Mac in Logic Pro X.  I am using a microphone to record the Code 50 and using the Bluetooth to change patches.  The clicks/pops/noise/interference is loud enough to interfere with the recording process.  Perhaps a DESKTOP (Apple) Gateway App via Code USB might be a solution for all users experiencing similar issues?   I am running the most current Firmware.  Any current solution to my noise issues?  Thank you.
