The app is installed - it WILL NOT launch at all.
Like apparently everyone else, my Code 25 "forgets" to turn on Bluetooth, and I have to restart the pairing process all over again, everytime I want to play. I have to delete the pairing from my phone, turn on bluetooth pairing on the amp, and rediscover the amp. EVERY FREAKING TIME. Where's that update to the firmware?
Hello, there. First of all sorry for my bad english.
I got two CODE 25, and it cannot be automatically paired with my phone again if it was rebooted.
When it is turned on, the blue light does just keep off and never get reconnection process.
Both of these got this issue after firmware update, and factory reset and troble shooting guide does not help anything.
I tried every ways so many times but it was useless.
There are many users suffering from this issue just like me... it is really annoying even this amp is really good.
Please leave an advice. thank you.
Hi
when will we get a new update to improve the Bluetooth Connection ?
My CODE 50 will pair with my iPad, after some difficulty.
However, all it does is let me hear my email notifications through the CODE! It will NOT pair with Gateway ever!
This is a big deal because access to the amps controls is impossible without a remote connection. I'm sorry, but the control layout is a POS if you must rely on the amp interface. Who sits on their amp when practicing or gigging? The top position was a TERRIBLE IDEA! Fire the idiot(s) who came up with that disaster! The Bluetooth MUST WORK AND BE RELIABLE in order to make this amp useful!
I have followed your tutorials and cannot waste 30+ minutes monkeying around with this junk every time I attempt to use it! I have even deleted and re-installed Gateway with it paired with the ipad with no change.
Look, I don't care if you have Jimmy Page locked up inside this thing, if you cannot offer a solution for the Bluetooth issues, it's going in the bin!
After some more hunting and pecking, I discoved how to get the listings to appear in My Gateway. I had to make sure my phone was connected to my computer then went through MENU on the Gateway phone app. After logging in, the app hilighted SYNC and once pressed away it went. I then managed to sort accordingly and save. The app does what it is supposed to do so now I have no problems at this point. Again, why isn't this explained in a document or tutorial...? Programmers and suppliers cannot expect users to understand their thought process without some clue here or there.
Regards.
Tell us what version we're downloading. Tell us what it does. Give us all the info we need to make an informed decision about these amps and the firmware update s or expect us like I'm about to do make a fire and cook some burgers on the flames!
Do i understand correctly that if we update through the browser we only get version 1.3? Why? Why isn't that spelled out on the download page if thats the case.
Thanks Dave.
Where can we find out what is in the update and what changes there are?
Hi. How to get firmware update v1.41? Checking in the browser not show any updates, Marshall firmware update utility show 5 updates to v1.41, but after updating on the screen of the AMP appears v1.11 and checking in browser proposes update firmware to v1.3
I have owned my Marshall CODE 50 for over 1 year. My frustrating experience with the speed of bug fixes and feature functionality updates to the CODE Firmware and Gateway software updates is beyond compare of any combination of hardware and software product I have ever used as a consumer. I have been in the hardware and software business for over 30 years and my Marshall CODE has been an exemplar of how to offer a horrible software and hardware consumer experience. When I first bought the product I loved my Marshall CODE 50, then I grew to lament it with the slow firmware and software bug fix releases, functionality updates and poor support for the Mac. I do not blame the engineering organizations responsible for the firmware and software. I blame the management, this just breathes product management and executive management failure. Hey, here’s an idea! Try, giving away less equipment to “musicians” and also charge a bit more for the product and try and channel some of that money for *more* quality software engineering staff and management. Fender does a much better job. I have several Fender Mustangs. It appears Fender might have had a slight mis-step with the latest Fender GT Mustang, but they are rapidly pushing out bug fixes and feature functionality updates like crazy. Also Fender’s social and forum interaction with consumers about firmware and software updates and the release notes are much more transparent and forthcoming. Marshall can do better. Until then, I will be doing my best to steer people clear of this product in person, in forums and social media until this has been rectified.
While waiting patiently to see if / when the CODE100 amps. are going to be available I happened to look at the supposed specs. for the CODE100 on your (Marshall) website found here: https://marshallamps.com/products/amplifiers/code/code-100h/
I couldn't help but notice that the CODE100 will allow 5 x simultaneous FX to be used. As we are all aware: this is not the case with the CODE50 and CODE25 i.e. only 1 x FX may be used. Aside from the obvious physical difference and output between the CODE100 and the CODE50 and CODE25: everything else appears to be the same other than the number of simultaneous FX that may be used. So my question is: is it not just a simple firmware update / upgrade that will allow for 5 x simultaneous FX to be used with the CODE50 and CODE25??? If so: could we have it please (or could we at least have some input or further information on this)??? In hindsight and as wonderful as I think these amps. are: it's starting to not make sense to me that I still have to purchase stompboxes if I want to use, for example, a compressor, additional distortion, and, say, an octave (pitch shifter) when all of these FX are actually included on the CODE50 and CODE25 but only 1 x FX can be used at any given time.
Regards,
Dale.
THIS ISSUE IS STILL ACTUAL !!! THE MASTER VOLUME ADJUSTMENT IS NOT LINEAR !!! PLEASE MAKE A FIRMWARE UPDATE TO SOLVE THAT !!!
There's a noticeable bit of digital noise/fizz in the output. Fiddling with gain, volume, presence and resonance settings seems to help a bit. Upping the gate settings only cuts it out when you're not playing, otherwise it pops back in as soon as you start, only now with sustain and response issues associated with setting the threshold too high.
I've seen this issue noted on other boards, and the problem seems to be rooted in the signal processor. Does Marshall have a fix in the works?
Just bought a Code 50...enjoying it but little surprised not to find the USB cable you need to connect the amp to your computer in the box, but hey ho. What type of cable do I need and where can I buy one?
I bought a Code 50, brand new out the box. Runs perfect! No firmware upates have been applied. It plays great, sounds great, and does everything as advertised. Am i the only one that got a Code 50 thats not having issues. I also have a Boss Katana 100 2x12, and I think the Code 50 sounds way way better to my ears.
So the amp is great and all, except for the noise introduced via the USB interface and the lack of user-made patches and stuff. So when can we expect a software update to be released? It's been quite a while since the amp was released and I would very much appreciate a fix. Also, will more amp models be added down the line? Cheers.
What options are available to replace the stock 4 ohm speaker that comes in the Code 50? I would like to upgrade to a Celetion or something similar. The stock speaker flutters at volume when using the heavy distorted/gain presets. Any recommedations?
HI just got a new (3 days old) JVM 205C and played it a couple of times then when I went to turn it on again it will not make a sound!
It starts and all the tubes light up but when you turn off the standby nothing happens and no sound at all comes out, not a click as if the standby swith is doing nothing.
I did read the manual about the FX loop button muting the amp without effects plugged in but I have tried everything I can think of so far, guitars, leads other power sockets but no go!
Anybody have any ideas???
Thanks
Mark
