Over the last 4 mos my code 50 amp has developed a buzz with my Les Paul guitar.  I don't notice it with a telecaster.  It is worse when the active pickups are engaged.  If I turn off the amp button it goes away.

When I try to save a preset to the amp, there is no problem. When I try to save a preset to my library I get the message: Patch cannot be saved; sync with Marshall server in progress.  My gateway has both a Bluetooth and an internet connection. Logged into my.marshall but nothing happening. Sync button is disabled. I feel like I'm missing something in my understanding of this aspect of the Code/Gateway system. Is there a user manual for the Gateway app?

Hello,

I've just got this amp. What kind of cable do I have to use to connect this port to a mixing console or audio interface ? mono?

Using headphones there is a little noise, is it so normal?

Best regards!

Hello,

I recently acquired a Code25 amp along with its footswitch (excellent for practising, great for gigs).

One interesting feature is the Gateway app, however it doesn't seem to function with Android 9... making it useless

My device (latest version of Android 9) successfully finds the amp and pair with it, but the app doesn't display any connected Amp... even if the phone is literally ON the Amp. Nothing seems to correct this: tried resinstalling, repairing, etc.

Is there anything to do here? Any fix?

Thanks,

I purchased an Origin 20H approximately 3 months ago.  Last night, I was playing it at healthy volume and it rapidly lost all sound.  Guitar plugged straight in to the input, nothing in the effects loop.  All tubes were still lit.  I tried different guitar chords, speaker cables, preamp tubes, plugging into different cabinets, different guitars.  All to no avail.  Any suggestions?  I have had no problems with the amp before last night.

I was truly investigating these Marshall Code amps (the Code 100H really) a few months back until the point that I found your channel. It appeared no one had anything decent to state about the Code arrangement, so I essentially begun looking somewhere else. There was a decent arrangement on a fundamentally new Fender Mustang V v2.0 through a companion of a companion despite everything I didn't know about it until the point that the person consented to go to my band's stick space to give me a chance to take it for a true test drive. Purchased and paid for inside 30 min of playing and I couldn't be more joyful with it in the wake of downloading a portion of your presets. I've since played 3 gigs with it and Fender nailed it on the head. I can perceive any reason why Marshall chose to get into the displaying diversion (it likely has an entirely hot market versus genuine cylinder amps dependent on cost) however I really can't trust how seriously Fender spoiled the Mustang GT arrangement; they should have simply perceived the V2 Mustang arrangement and include bluetooth/USB cell phone bolster, an application to make things less demanding and a more extensive scope of impacts and they would've been cleaning house. At any rate, too bad for the indulgent remark; I needed to thank you for controlling me towards the Mustang. Your demo of the Code arrangement unquestionably sounds superior to anything the others I've heard, however I have no second thoughts as of watching this haha.

It sounds alright (despite the fact that the metal setting was terrible and I like metal!). I do have an inquiry. When you utilize the Bluetooth to change the settings, does it recollect it when you control it down or do you need to change it again every time you turn it on?

I have a Marshall DSL 100-watt head purchased in 2016 (so not the newest version), whose channel switching and onboard reverb I would like to operate with a Fractal Audio FX8's relay function. The manual for the FX8 clearly states that its relay function is only to be used on amps with "short-to-sleeve" switching. My questions are, is the Marshall DSL100 head built with short-to-sleeve channel switching? And also, do the channel switching and reverb on/off functions on the amp behave in a latching manner (i.e. the effect remains on as long as the switch is engaged) or an auto-off manner (i.e. the effect is triggered by a momentary connection)?

Thank you!

Hello, I recently acquired a vs100 head and it has a lot of weird noise going on. I'm guessing it's down to the preamptube and I'm going to replace it when I get cash for a tube and if that fails I know a good place to get it serviced. What I really need help with is finding a  4x12 cab that goes well with the head. I want to get a good heavy sound going, I'm going to be using it to play doom metal mainly so if anyone has any suggestions. I would prefere a marshall cab and I've been looking at the 1960A, 1960B and 1960BV but can't really decide from what I have been able to google. There are no stores near me where I can try any cabs out either so I'm a bit stranded right now.

I know I can override any CODE amp preset with CODE USB connections from the website or by changing on my phone while connected and saving either on the phone and/ or amp.  But How do direct amp changes work with Gateway while disconnected and then synced later on?

In other words, if I save modifications on my amp to a particular preset and I am not connected to my gateway on my phone, when I do connect and sync later, which setting wins?  Does the phone setting override the amp-stored setting (ie. back out the mods made on the amp / push the settings to the amp from the phone) or does the phone pick up the modified amp setting from the amp and store it in Gateway (ie, pull the settings from the amp and store in my phone)?

Also, I have the first 30 presets set up for ones I use to perform and are addressable using code programmable foot controller.   If I want to archive/backup those presets someplace to guard against an unplanned need to do a factory reset, does it make sense to store them perhaps in the cooresponding setting in my Library ( the blue section of My Gateway )  That way i can bring them into the amps and store them one at a time from the library back into the presets on the amp, or is there a better way to backup/restore presets in the event of a factory reset?

Thanks!

Hallo,

I'm going to buy a second hand Marshall DSL40C without footswitch. I realized that it is not too easy to find on the market an original footswitch (PEDL-00009). could you please tell me a list of compatible footswitch which can replace PEDL-00009 in case I don't find it?

thank you

Hello everyone!! I have the guitar multi effect pedal board BOSS ME 70 and the MARSHALL CODE50. I connect the guitar with the ME70 and then the ME70 with the guitar amp through the L. Mono output. I tried various type of connections, NO SOUND at all. The guitar works fine with the CODE50 alone and the pedal board works fine if used with the guitar and other amps. Help anyone?!

Hi,

I'm a fairly new user, and have not delved into the software on the Code 50 too much yet, but had a question about user presets.   Since there are 100 factory presets loaded, and it doesn't look like there's anywhere else to store additional presets, I'm guessing I'd have to delete or change factory presets to load any of my own.   I know there's 5 or 6 factory presets that I find unusable and don't mind changing those, but it would be nice to have 30 or 40 empty patch spaces so I could load my own sounds.

Is there updated software I can load onto the Code 50 to let me do this or am I stuck with having to change factory presets?

Thanks for any info
