hi , can I swap out the ecc83 preamp tube in V1 for a ecc81 in a SC20H? I’m just trying to lower gain to a much cleaner sound - preferably to the origin clean .

Any suggestions - outside of “ buy an Origin “ ;)

thanks

Just saying: I find these almost-daily advertisement-posts in this forum very very disappointing. Let alone today - up to now - six such posts, that have nothing to do with Marshall or our concerns and questions!

I think we need a better watchkeeper here.

hey

my name is jason and i have a question. Since a week or so my marshall dsl 40 had very low volume on the ultra gain channel even when i turned all the way up. Normally my ears would explode and my mom would run upstairs. So it makes very low volume on the ultra gain channel. but when i turn my volume up all the way on the classic gain channel while im playing trough the ultra the volume is normal again. This is really weird and i have  no idea to fix this please help

My question is on my 100h.  When I use the od American  preamp the bass control does not work rite.

Seems that from 0 to 5 on the bass pot there is little or no response but when I go from 5 to 10 the amp gets very thin and  sounds like the mids are cut  vol seems to drop a bit too.

Only seems to happen on the od American preamp.   On The cr American preamp  the bass pot acts normal.

Anywhere would be great

I've noticed the outputs 2 & 3 differ, while the specifications on the speakers but the back of the cab (ORI212A) says x2 8ohms. Should I use the 16ohm output? And if not, which of the ohm outputs on the Origin 20H is the ideal one? The 16 ohm, the 8ohm or the 16x2 one?

How can i get my marshall code 50 to connect to my laptop? I have a USB cable connecting the two, and I also have a bluetooth connection but I can't use the live editor or the marshall gateway.

Well as per title,

I own a marshal monitor 2 anc. But whenever I connect through bluetooth to a pc the sound is terrible - as if the whole bass channel is removed. I've reconnected using the given cable and sound is indeed beautiful and full that way. But with just bluetooth it's as if the sound is "squeezed" and I hear no bass. Even worse than my cheap 2 dollar earplugs.

I am using a pc btw, I don't do mobile phones.

Well as per title, I do not own a smartphone capable of using that app. So how do I use the equalizer? I bought the marshall monitor 2 for the equalizer as well as the ability to play over blue tooth from my laptop.

Is there some trick I am missing, there seems to be no manual included or a disk for drivers I can install?

I am using a marshall monitor 2 anc.

Well as per title I experience a killing (up to the point where I can not use the headphones) delay when connecting the headphones to windows over bluetooth.

The delay is quite weird as in not the audio itself is delayed, just the sound/volume - and only initially/when there is no sound initially. The delay is quite severe though, around 1-1.5 seconds.

This means that when playing music I just miss the first second, but after that it works smoothly. Yet if I use intermitted sounds, such as the volume control on windows I do not get a "beep". -- except when I change hte volume fast so that the second beep would overlap the first.

Also when talking over discord this is problematic as I now only hear people's second word, not the first.

I wonder if this is a problem with the headphones (brand new just opened the box earlier today). Or with my laptop (MSI GP60 leopard pro). When there is no sound the sound is really "quiet" but after hearing sound the headphones give some kind of wind/blowing noise for several seconds afterwards and if I generate a second sound it *is* fast during that time.

Hi. I'm having a problem with my DSL5CR. When plugged direct into the amp and switched to the Classic gain channel it works perfectly. However, when switched to the Ultra gain channel, the guitar is very faint and what can be heard is a weak-fuzzy sound. When I first noticed the problem, I thought it was a case of the tubes needing to warm up, as after 30 seconds the level would gradually increase, unfortunately the problem has got worse. Could it be the pre-amp tubes at fault?

Thanks,
Steve

It's been ovem a year and a half since there's been a firmware update. I was hoping they could take out some of the bass response that seems to be prevalent on my Code 50 in the next firmware update.  Does anybodt know of any plans to do any updates?

I have a Code 50, which I absolutely love. I'd like a preset for Bad Company's "Holy Water." Anybody got one?

Hello from Germany,

first of all I want to say sorry for my bad english..

I just downloaded the Marshall App to my iPad. The app works and i can connect it to my CODE100H.

It is also possible to read out the actual setup of the 100 channels of the AMP on my tablet.

Now here comes my problem. If I change any setups on the tablet, for example rename the channel, I tab on "save on amp" but nothing changes on the amp. It is always the same like before.

Can you please help me?

Thanks a lot.

I bought a Marshall Origin 50C 7 months ago. Good sound, but too many watts to play at home, I used it in the rehearsal room maybe 4 or 5 times, but due to the pandemic the rest of the time the amp has been at home practically unused.

A few weeks ago I turned it back on for the first time in a long time and found that it makes a noise (buzzing) even without connecting the guitar cable.

I thought it could be due to humidity from the winter, so I left it on for an hour or two, hoping the heat from the valves would help dissipating the humidity and eliminate the hum.

The noise didn't go away, so I put the amp back.

When I looked back a few days ago, I found a weird stain around the power switch.

The 'stain' actually is that the shallow golden part has disappeared around the amp power switch.

I haven't had time to naturally 'scratch' the surface with my fingers when turning the amp on and off, as in total I will have used the amp maybe 15 times since I bought it.

I have never seen this in any amplifier, especially with such a short time of use and a prestigious brand such as Marshall.

Well, maybe I was unlucky and got a faulty model, because it is the third Marshall amp I have owned and the first two went well, but I wonder what happens and what I can do to fix it.

Hi. I have two Marshall Acton speakers in my home, which I very much like. The problem is that they both have the same name when searching for them to cnnect via bluetooth on my phone, which can cause confusion, especially if I'm in range of both of them. How can I change the naming convention that one of my Acton speakers uses so I can differentiate between them?
